I'm in a transition period where I'm being forced to make changes that I didn't want. Tracie's words spoke right to the fears and doubts I'm facing, and also the hope I'm trying to kindle for the future. It's just the book I needed with wisdom and practical help. I liked the prompt questions with room to write at the end of each chapter, which helped me get more personal application from the material. I'm grateful for Tracie's hard-won honesty and vulnerability, which makes this book so meaningful to me.
I really like the book Miles has written, helping us navigate times of transition. Rather than dwelling on present circumstances, she suggests it might be a good time to consider reinventing ourself. She gives practical ideas for creating goals for the journey and drawing up a workable life plan. She encourages us to move forward in faith, pushing past our doubts. She includes inspiring stories from her own life and from biblical characters.
I am impressed with the practical nature of this book. She gives growth steps for the different kinds of life transitions with specific questions to answer leading to drawing up a blueprint for change. She helps us learn from our past experiences and face possible stumbling blocks as we look to the future.
Circumstances change. Transition times will come. Miles' book is a good resource at such times to successfully make it through change to a better future. You owe it to yourself to be the best version of who God created you to be, Miles says. (157) This book will certainly help you on that journey.
I received a complimentary egalley of this book from the publisher. My comments are an independent and honest review.
After hearing the author on the Proverbs 31 podcast, I was inspired to read this book. While I didn’t connect with all of the content, the parts that resonated with me were incredibly impactful—what I would describe as a “God wink.” The author’s connections to the Bible are thoughtful and insightful, and her personal stories serve as powerful examples of Christ working through her.
Good encouraging Faith based book about navigating change and transition with lots of good strategies and scripture. I liked that she gave practical advice at the end of each chapter for action steps to toward a plan.
