DNF: I believe this could be a good book, but this one didn't do it for me. I didn't read book 1, can't find it, so when I tried to figure out what was going on, I couldn't. Nothing bad againest the author.

From the start to finish, you can tell how much Esmeray cares about Silas, there was never a question about her feelings for him. Everything she destroyed she gave him back and more.

This book definitely a love triangle going on. I liked you could tell where it was leaning , and there was not a lot of back and forth. I love a book where the love triangle has the right amount of conflict and development of the suiters.

Since this was book 2. You can see where the magic/fantasy starts to show more. If you have read this book or plan to , there is an Easter egg at the end,did you see it? Wow I can’t wait to see what happens from that.

The story was had such a bittersweet ending. I love that Silas and Esmeray got real married; I’m glad there wasn’t a plot twist she somehow ended with Maddox. Speaking of Maddox *insert wailing* Maddox!!! Why couldn’t have been Carmen?

J.F. Ruffin….we don’t like that snake Carmen. That sneaky sneaky witch has it coming to her.

This is the second book that I’ve read by J.F. Ruffin, and it’s Dark Desires Book 2. I really enjoyed this read. I love the storyline, and the characters. I love the dynamic between Esmeray and Silas. I feel like this is one of those books that you need to sit down and read when you know you won’t have any distractions because there is a lot going on in it and you won’t want to miss anything. This book left me wanting more so I hope I get to see a certain someone get her come uppins.

This is my 2nd time reading a book by this author, it's book 2 in the dark entanglement series and I loved book one and I loved this one aswell. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline. Once I started I couldn't put it down it was a rollercoaster ride. It's action packed I was on the edge of my seat. I'm glad esmeray and Silas got theirs in the end. But I really need the author to take care of that skanky snake Carmen.

Can't wait to see what happens next. Highly recommend.

This is the second book in the series, I wanted to read it , so Bad, I just brought it. Please read the trigger warning. This book was not a disappointment. This book has a sweet ending. I'm so glad ,she ended up with the right one. This is an arranged marriage, enemies to loves Mafia romance. 💓 it.
