Loved the vintage cover more than what was inside. The book is a compilation of Betty Crocker recipes, and vintage ones at that depending on what your definition of vintage is. Recipes span a broad period of time but seemed heavy on ones from the 1990's.

What the book does well is provide the history behind the creation and evolution of Betty Crocker (not a real person) and acts a time capsule via its photos of products, adverts and other behind the scene access. Recipes are easy to follow and many, but not all, are pictured. Nostalgic and less experienced cooks along with fans of Bisquick will likely appreciate this book most.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harvest for providing me with a copy of this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Growing up in a kosher household, the only Betty Crocker recipes that we made were the boxed brownies, cookies, and cake. Keeping kosher involves a lot of rules and food restrictions, so many of the Betty Crocker recipes I came across weren’t things I could ever make. Now that I’m the one who does all the cooking, I was curious about some of the most cherished vintage recipes. I have to admit that I was slightly concerned about seeing recipes involving gelatin molds that were so popular in bygone eras, but there was not a single gelatin mold or unusual combination in the entire book.

To start with, there was a lot more than simply recipes. One of my favorite parts of this book were the historical snippets that came along. Readers get to learn the origins of the Betty Crocker brand, how it has changed over time, and the ways that it has touched the lives of home cooks and aspiring cooks. I was so surprised to discover that for the majority of the time, Betty Crocker was responsible for more than simply cooking information and products. There was a radio show and columns in magazines or newspapers, where they offered practical tips for household chores or needs, as well as recipes and quick kitchen hacks before we knew them as life or kitchen hacks.

That being said, there are a ton of great recipes and tips throughout this book. It is broken up into intuitive chapters focusing on: Holiday celebrations, memorable main dishes, warm from the oven breads, irresistible cookies and bars, better than ever desserts, and closes out with a metric conversion chart and an index of recipes.

I was honestly expecting to discover a ton of cool sounding recipes yet only a few that I could make in my kosher kitchen, and probably only bookmarking the desserts. Boy, was I wrong! This book is full of bookmarks, and I am going to have to buy a hard copy of this so that I can keep the recipes handy. Probably half of the recipes are things that I can prepare and aren’t too far beyond my kitchen skills (I’m a lousy baker). Fortunately, I didn’t have to worry about my baking skills either. So many of these recipes either use familiar items (Bisquick is the one that comes to mind first), and allow me to get away with not having to roll dough because I can never figure out how to make it not too sticky or floury. The bread section was even more surprising to me, because now I have a bunch of breads that I can make at home without needing anything that isn’t easily on hand in my kitchen, and that I don’t have to work with the dough. Also, I discovered a couple of bread recipes that might be out of my comfort zone, but sound like I could make a decent (and edible) version of the recipe in the book.

Each recipe includes nutritional information, some tidbits on where the recipe had originally come from, and there are even a few where readers wrote in about a beloved lost recipe and Betty Crocker recreated it for them. There are a lot of photos of the recipes and while it is clear that it was prepared and photographed by professionals, the vast majority of the recipes themselves aren’t as the photos led me to believe. A lot of them come together quickly, and don’t involve any special ingredients or kitchenware. This is the perfect book for home cooks, aspiring home cooks, and people looking for some nostalgic recipes, and I can’t wait to make these recipes.

Betty Crocker Found Recipes by Betty Crocker is such a great book and like a trip down memory lane. From the lemon bars my mom made because they were my dad‘s favorite until her dying day to the Beef Wellington I remember as a little girl her being so proud she made right. The red and white checkered Betty Crocker cookbook with something that marks my childhood and growing up in the mini recipes with in it all part of the happy memories my mom made from great desserts to entrées to salads I would be lying if I said Betty Crocker wasn’t a part of my upbringing and are now family traditional recipes we cook daily so instead of a review I want to make this a thank you to Betty Crocker for feeding my childhood memories and helping my mom be the great cook she was. I love this book and definitely recommend it and hope it marks others lives in such a positive way like it did my own and my sisters.#NetGalley,#William Morrow, #BettyCrockerFoundRecipes, #BettyCrocker,

I just read (and very much enjoyed) this cookbook. Yes, I read cookbooks for fun!! Also, I've gotten interested in vintage recipes again lately. Of course, being my age, what is "vintage" to most folks is was what I grew up with. Having said that, I was disappointed there weren't more recipes from the 40's, 50's and 60's. Or even 70's. I realize cooking has changed a lot since the 40's and not too many people are interested in making recipes with beef suet these days (check out an authentic recipe for mincemeat!!) However, it would have been fun to see a least a few of the oldies included.
I enjoyed the history and the vintage photos. I especially enjoyed the mention of the Betty Crocker Homemaker Award because I was the winner at my school in 1970. Alas, I didn't receive any scholarships, but I did win a couple of other prizes tied to the contest.
I have one big complaint though, and I'm surprised no one else has mentioned it. In fact, I plan to write to General Mills and alert them of this. There are two glaring editorial mistakes. On page 210 at the top of the page is this paragraph: "Poke cakes, like this one were first developed in the mid 1970's. Colorful fruit-flavored gelatin was poured over cakes poked with holes." Then the recipe shown was...Lemon Poppy Seed Pound Cake. I checked to see if gelatin was added (or poked) in this cake but no, it's just a standard pound cake recipe with a glaze. Yes, on page 206 there IS a poke cake recipe, but it doesn't use gelatin, either, it's pureed fruit and pudding mix. The other error is on page 218 for Black Forest Cherry Torte. Black Forest Cake is a chocolate sponge cake with cherry kirsch, black cherries and whipped cream. I understand this is supposed to be a simplified version of this for regular home bakers, but the one printed in this book called for a yellow butter cake, even though the picture accompanying it shows the correct chocolate. I deducted one star because of these mistakes because even though they don't detract from the enjoyment, it could confuse inexperienced cooks.

Lost a favorite recipe you discovered years ago? Maybe its in here!

It goes without saying that the folks at Betty Crocker have a few recipes in their possession….after all, they have been printing cookbooks, cooking magazines, and more for a long, long time. The premise of this collection is simple….people have contacted them over the years, hoping that Betty Crocker can help them find a recipe (maybe a Betty Crocker original, maybe not) that they remember having enjoyed once upon a time or that has mysteriously gone missing from their own collection. This cookbook is a combination of those requests, what Betty Crocker was able to uncover and./or recreate….and is a cross-section of types of foods and decades of origin. Sweet and sour meatballs? Check. Recipes using Bisquick? Got you covered. But alongside recipes that I remember from my parents’ or grandparents’ parties back in the day, there are also things of more recent vintage….Ravioli with Roasted Red Pepper Cream, for example. The first recipe I tried out was for Impossibly Easy Chicken Parmigiana Pie, using some leftover chopped chicken breast, pasta sauce and cottage cheese with a Bisquick-based crust (I needed to throw dinner together quickly, realized I had the ingredients on hand….perfect!) and my picky teen daughter and less-than-adventurous husband both approved….not a bit left over for the following day. There is a recipe for a glazed lemon loaf that looks like one that a friend’s mother who is no longer with us used to make….that is on the list to try next. One thing is for sure, you can always trust that a Betty Crocker-approved recipe will work out well, that the directions will be clear, and that the ingredients will (mostly) be things you regularly have on hand or can readily find. I had a lot of fun thumbing through the book, reading the backstory of where the sleuths found the requested recipe or what they did to tweak and/or recreate those they couldn’t find. I have a few more recipes, throwbacks or infringing new ideas, to pop into my own recipe files…..and I suspect other cooks will find the same. Many thanks to NetGalley and William Morrow/Harvest for allowing me access to an early copy of this cookbook…..and my family thanks you too!

Berry Crocker Found Recipes
Betty Crocker
Have you ever wondered who the woman behind the wonderful recipes and products is? I hate to disappoint you but she isn’t a real person. “A simple advertisement in the Saturday Evening Post in 1921 was destined to bake up a masterpiece…In answer to the several hundred letters asking a variety of cooking and baking questions. The executives at Gold Medal created a female personality to reply to the letters. Hence Betty Crocker was born. The staff answered the cooking questions and dispensed advice about cooking, entertaining, tips maintaining a home and how to get along with an unhelpful husband. She received a multitude of wedding proposals but declined each one saying, “she was married to her work!”
There are several chapters of recipes in this book including Chicken Salad Log, Creamy Tropical Fruit Salad, Snowman Buns, Almond Filled Crescents, Hearty Chicken Stew, Easy Chicken Lasagna, Fresh Berry Chicken Salad, Chicken Macaroni Salad, Baked Chimichangas, Italian Style Spaghetti, Salsa Meatloaf, Barbecue Beef Brisket, Margarita Shrimp, Seafood Pasta Salad with Giner Dressing, Cranberry Orange Streusel Muffins, Orange Honey Muffins, Toffee-Orange Bread, Parmesan Bread Bowls, Lemon Ginger Cookies, Lemon-Hazelnut Cookies, Walnut Orange Bars, Dream Bars, Walnut Cinnamon Crisps, Pie Crust, Chocolate-Hazelnut Tart, and many more. I saw several recipes I want to try. I also recognized several of the cookbooks that I already own. Whether you are entertaining or cooking for your family, Betty Crocker has a recipe that will work for you.
The name Betty Crocker has always been trusted and continues to be trusted.

Betty Crocker Found Recipes, Beloved Recipes Worth Sharing, by Betty Crocker is a joyful trip down memory lane! I have followed and used Betty Crocker recipes since I was a young teenager. I have always loved to cook and using Betty’s recipes was and is a guarantee to success. I can’t even tally the amount of booklets and books that I own from Betty Crocker. When I saw this new book I was so excited to read it.

The book is broken down into Holiday Celebrations, Memorable Main Dishes, Warm from the Oven Breads, Irresistible Cookies and Bars, and Better than Ever Desserts. There are beautiful photos with most recipes. There is nostalgia on some of these pages bring back many fond memories. There are photos of recipes from the earlier cookbooks, photos from the Original Betty Crocker Test Kitchens, and pictures from magazine advertisements. I fondly remember ripping out the page of the magazine so I could save Betty’s new recipe. I learned about the Betty Crocker Radio Show which led to a national radio show called Betty Cocker Cooking School of the Air. Betty Crocker actually published a schedule so listeners could tune in for the recipes they wanted. There are so many delightful pieces of nostalgia from Betty’s 100 years of creating delicious recipes for the American Cook.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Once again they have delighted me and I have already bookmarked some of the first recipes I want to try. I would highly recommend this cookbook to anyone who has followed Betty through the years. It also would be a lovely book for those younger cooks who really didn’t know Betty. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!

This isn’t just a book of vintage recipes, these recipes are special. Many of them are printed with letters saying a dead family member used to make this food and the adult child never learned to make it. I think it is so cool that Betty Crocker went through their archives and found these recipes based on the descriptions and when they couldn’t, they created new recipes to match. As you saw in my stories, I had so much fun making these foods from the past and I enjoyed eating them too. Thank you for the gifted copy, Harvest Books!
👩‍🍳
Here’s what I made:
🪵 Chicken Salad Log- the chicken was overshadowed by the hard boiled eggs and cream cheese making it basically a cheese ball- you know I inhaled it
🥞 Raspberry-Almond Crepes- I was so proud of myself! This was my first time making gluten-free crepes on my own! I couldn’t believe it worked so well simply substituting gf flour. I would definitely use less or maybe no almond extract in the pudding next time but loved it otherwise.
🧀 Easy Chicken Lasagna- this has a whole lotta cottage cheese in it which was disturbing for my children but the flavors reminded me so much of my childhood! Yum!
🍍 Sweet-and-Sour Meatballs- we all liked this one. Simple and tasty weeknight meal.
🌭 Mexican-Style Franks in a Loaf- these aren’t Mexican at all but such a cool idea! You slice the bread and it’s like little buns attached to each dog! Gf hot dog buns are normally terrible so this is a great alternative! And King Arthur gf biscuit mix was a great substitute.

I am a fan of Betty Crocker - cake mixes are a staple when I don't have time for doing something from scratch and I like to think I invented the Dunkaroo when we used to grab a can of icing and some graham crackers to take as a movie snack in the 80s with my friends - so picking up a book of found recipes was fun. I expected to see some of the classics from way back in the day like cheese balls and Goddess dip, and I wasn't disappointed. There were also some great more recent recipes or at least recipes that would stand the test of time and not simply be nostalgic memories.

I appreciated that there was history and a story behind the way the book evolves and the recipes were chosen. And I have already tried a few and found them to be successes. My kids adored the orange honey muffins, and I have been searching for a gumdrop cake for many years that replicated the one my grandmother used to make when I was little.

All in all, there is a good variety of recipes here and they are easy to follow with (mostly) items you'd have close to hand or be able to find at most grocery stores. At least, those in the US and Canada which is what I'm most familiar with.

Looking forward to testing a few more and will probably pick this up when it comes out either for me or for gifting. Or both.

* I received an ARC via NetGalley.

You know how everyone always raved about Grandma's cooking? Do you know what her main recipe book probably was? Betty Crocker. I have one, everyone I know my age or older has one. But cooking techniques and tastes have changed over time.

The book contains the following chapters:
Introduction: The Betty Crocker Story
Holiday Celebrations
Memorable Main Dishes
Warm from the Oven Breads
Irresistible Cookies and Bars
Better than Ever Desserts

Even though Betty Crocker is long associated with baking, this book covers salads and simple main meals that satisfy and are not complicated. This book takes some of the old favorites and has republished the ones that appeal to modern tastes. The photos are mouth watering, the recipes are more or less traditional, satisfying, and delicious. Many of the recipes list where and when the original recipe was published, but most are from the 1960's through the 1990's. You will not find a recipe that requires an air fryer, a sous vide, or an InstaPot - only standard kitchenware.

I enjoyed the historical notes and the old photographs. This is a great resource for an inexperienced cook, or for an experienced person wanting some basic, delicious recipes.

I have been following Betty Crocker recipes for decades. The first cookbook I ever used was Betty Crocker and I know that when I see a recipe from Betty, I can trust the process and results. So, when I saw a new cookbook that I have not tried before, I was instantly curious. What drew me was the notion of rare and lost and found recipes. With countless options available to me online, I wanted to see what the fuss was about. There is a wide variety of recipes here. Meals, sides, breads, desserts, holiday, and every day. I cannot say there is a singular recipe that makes you want to stand up and shout, but rather, these recipes are like a hug from long days ago. Tradition, nostalgia, and rhythms are what came to mind as I read through this. I adored all the retro paraphernalia inserted throughout. Genuine recipe pages, articles, adds, and historical memoires reminded me that despite how sophisticated we are in the kitchen today, there are just some creations in the kitchen that are timeless. Whether you are looking for something new or old, I think you will find something valuable and delicious in this collection.

Betty Crocker Found Recipes, is a fun collection of recipes throughout the history of Betty Crocker, including Found Recipes (recipes requested by readers from their past), favorites of the Betty Crocker Test Kitchens, and re-created lost recipes. The chapters listed are:

Holiday Celebrations
Memorable Main Dishes
Warm from the Oven Breads
Irresistible Cookies and Bars
Better Than Ever Desserts

I recognized a handful of these recipes, such as the "Impossibly Easy" ones that use Bisquick, but the majority of them were pretty new to me. I have about 2 dozen recipes bookmarked to try, some with a creative twist to them, like Eggnog-Poppy Seed Bread, Hush Puppy-Fried Chicken, Parmesan "Chicken-Fried" Steak, and lots of desserts.

I rated Betty Crocker Found Recipes 4/5 stars. The recipes collected here are reliably good, simple to prepare, don't use any hard-to-find ingredients, and were generally picky-eater friendly, which is typical for the Betty Crocker line of cookbooks. Another plus is that most recipes had a photo to go with them.

Thank you to NetGalley, Betty Crocker, and William Morrow for the opportunity to read the ARC of this book. A review was not required, and all opinions expressed are my own.

Betty Crocker Found Recipes cookbook is filled with vintage recipes and photos that will take you back to when your beloved grandmother or mother prepared the old-fashioned recipes that are often remembered fondly. Researchers at Betty Crocker selected recipes that were often requested or had risen to the top of recipe boxes due to popularity. Betty Crocker also worked to recreate lost recipes that were requested by consumers.

I loved seeing the images of Betty Crocker that ranged from 1936 to modern day. My personal favorite, and if memory serves me right, was the 1956 (date not given in Found Recipes) Betty Crocker image. The 1956 Betty Crocker image was found in many of the 1950 cooking materials including the 1956 Betty Crocker New Picture Cook Book.

Throughout the cookbook you'll find images from older Betty Crocker cookbooks, cookbooklets and other published materials from Betty Crocker.

Some of the recipes you'll find include:

Coconut Chicken with Chutney
Savory Pork Roast
Hearty Chicken Stew
Cheeseburger Deep-Dish Pizza
Pink Peppermint Pie
Williamsburg Orange Cake

Betty Crocker Found Recipes is a very fun book that will likely take you down memory lane. There is a chance this cookbook will spark some horrifying curiosity towards the somewhat bizarre recipes of yesteryear that you may dare to recreate!

Betty Crocker cookbooks are a staple of most American kitchens and I had fun reading about the history of Betty Crockers herself (spoiler alert - she is not a real person!) and also getting little tidbits of information in each recipe. Some of the recipes are from cookbooks, magazines, and the back of old mix boxes. I really enjoyed the visual of women backing in past decades, old magazine advertisements and recipes, and as well as sweet comments from fans of the old recipes.

Although this may not be a go-to recipe book for an average week, this cookbook is a fun piece of nostalgia that might just come in handy the next time you want to bring a unique dish to your next get-together. The photos of the dishes are beautiful and really give you a good idea of what you're trying to create with each dish.

Thank you to NetGalley, William Morrow, Harvest, and of course Betty Crocker for the ARC of this cute recipe book!

Thanks to NetGalley and Harvest Books for the complimentary ebook. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

If it weren’t for Betty Crocker, I would have starved growing up. No, seriously. Before I got married, I asked my mom for all my childhood favorite recipes. It was a long process of writing them all down (and creating a family cookbook), but the one thing that struck me as I quizzed Mom where to find a recipe was the answer “Betty Crocker’s XX cookbook”. Mom collected cookbooks and never got rid of any, including her well-loved 1950 edition.

The recipes in this book are an interesting collection. I didn’t read every recipe, but I did notice that the 1990s recipes were heavily featured, so I was a bit disappointed. I was hoping for more recipes from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s, the recipes I grew up with. But I get it: Millennials would be the target audience for this book, forget about Gen X (as usual). I personally didn’t find any particular recipe that I would want to try, although I do think the inclusion of nutritional information for these “lost” recipes was a great addition.

What is the story of Betty Crocker? Betty Crocker was created by the Washburn Crosby Company, a flour milling business, in 1921 as a way to personalize responses to consumer inquiries. The name "Betty" was chosen because it was seen as friendly and approachable, while "Crocker" honored a retired executive of the company, William Crocker. Over the years, Betty Crocker became a trusted brand and symbol of home cooking, despite being a fictional persona. Betty Crocker played a significant role in shaping American culinary culture by popularizing easy-to-make recipes and promoting home baking. Through cookbooks, radio shows, and television appearances, she became a household name, encouraging families to embrace home-cooked meals. Her influence extended beyond the kitchen, as she represented the ideal of the American homemaker and contributed to the development of modern convenience foods.

The Betty Crocker cookbook that I still use and reference today was given to me as a wedding gift in 1995. The recipes within this cookbook were enjoyable to sift through.

My mom and I are collectors of cookbooks and this book hit home with us. I grew up with my mom cooking all the time and her passion for finding the next recipe which included a large collection of cookbooks. This book brought back some amazing memories for me.In this wonderful cookbook we get to step back in history and look at the past memories of Betty Crocker cooking. There are over 100 vintage recipes from the past and some of the most memorable and popular recipes they shared with us. It is packed with stories, history and tons of memories from fans and more. The photographs of the delicious recipes leave my mouth watering and I loved seeing the old pages of books from the past. I even found some new favorites like Easy Chicken Lasagna and Bisquick Pumpkin Biscuits. This is the perfect gift for any cookbook collector and cook in your life. Enjoy it with your family.

Many thanks to NetGalley and William Morrow Harvest for gifting me a digital ARC of this nostalgic cookbook. All opinions expressed in this review are my own - 5 stars!

When I got married in 1980, my sister-in-law gifted me a copy of the Betty Crocker Cookbook and even though I know longer have that husband, I still have the cookbook! This was such a trip to the past and I thoroughly enjoyed going through each page with my elderly mother, reminiscing about how things used to be. The recipes themselves are nostalgic and will probably remind you of childhood, and I anxiously bookmarked many pages. Even the page layout is perfect, looking like my old cookbook with its well-loved look and creased and stained pages. There are 5 chapters: Holiday Celebrations, Memorable Main Dishes, Warm from the Oven Breads, Irresistible Cookies & Bars, and Better than Ever Desserts. But there's also lots of stories and pictures from the past that just add to the fun of this cookbook!

A very fun cookbook to peruse. The layout is appealing, the photographs are great and I even found a few recipes I wouldn’t mind trying (though most of this isn’t to my own tastes). The entire book however is highly interesting and enjoyable from a historical appreciation standpoint.

If you’re committed to throwing vintage style cocktail or dinner parties, I would recommend this. Though the combination of Bisquick/cream cheese might be a bit much for regular consumption, if it’s your thing, a copy of this is exactly what you want for retro dishes that I think would really make a statement (even if of what exactly, I’m not entirely sure).

This would also very easily make a wonderful gift to spark a visit to memory lane for readers who fondly remember their own family making some of these same recipes.

I would not normally "review" a cookbook because I do not really "read" them -- glance thru the recipes, look at the pictures. But, to me, many of these recipes were not "vintage" as implied in the subtitle. Most of the recipes were from the 1980s and 1990s, I think. Hardly vintage ... unless you were born after that time I suppose. Occasionally a customer would inquire about a remembered recipe or describe what they remembered. The Betty Crocker people "found" a couple of these remembered recipes, but mostly they just created something that resembled what was remembered. Overall, I was disappointed with this book because I was expecting recipes from the 1930s and 1940s (or before), and that was not what was included. :-(

This is a fun book. The 'vintage' recipes go from the 50's to the late 90's, so it's a pretty broad range. There is a photo and nutritional information for every recipe, which I love.

There was really only one savory recipe that I liked - the sauerbraten meatballs. While not the most authentic, they were tasty and practical. The really highlights are the deserts and quick breads. There are some muffin recipes in here (oat/cranberry and cranberry orange streusel) that are incredible. And quite a few cookie recipes (lemon ginger crinkles) that are unique and delicious.

There are a few things in here that just don't appeal - like zucchini/chocolate bread with peanut butter frosting. But this is a fun trip down memory lane and you'll come away with at least a few new recipes.

Betty Crocker. Who doesn’t know that name? These cookbooks were in every kitchen I visited in the South.

My husband’s grandmother was actually named Betty Crocker and she was a Betty Crocker. When we cleared her house we found boxes and boxes of cookbooks and special editions.

Reading these recipes was a trip down memory lane! Although I probably wouldn’t eat most of these now, I never made anything out of the others. Much like Science Fiction, I read them, knowing that’s not going to happen in my house!

But they take me back to a better time and that is priceless!

Love, love, love this fall 2024 release from Betty Crocker! Pulled from the archives (and recreation of lost recipes), with a variety of taste profiles, this cookbook is FUN *and* I can't wait to try out many of the contained recipes. Mixed within the recipes and sections are charming retro photography and tidbits from BC releases through the years as well as chronology that I wasn't previously aware of, such as tracing the origins of BC through the Gold Medal Flour history. Another cookbook that I'll own as soon as it's released. :)

Thanks to NetGalley and William Morrow for the opportunity to preview this cookbook in exchange for my honest review.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this cookbook and look forward to trying some recipes. It is a nice dose of nostalgia if one remembers the recipes that were uncovered (or recreated) from the Betty Crocker archive. For those who don't, it provides a nice background to the history of the Betty Crocker brand since its inception.
This book will make a nice addition to public library cookbook collections and personal collections, I'll definitely be adding this title to my collection. 4 1/2 stars
Many thanks to @williammorrowbooks and @netgalley for the ARC.

Betty Crocker cookbooks are an American staple in almost every kitchen, I grew up with my mom cooking from them and I have amassed quite the Betty Crocker Collection of my own. This cookbook is a great addition, the vintage recipes are all easy to make and the photos are drool worthy. Included in this cookbook are bits of Betty Crocker history spread throughout. My favorite recipe: Easy Chicken Parmigiana Pie- Delicious! I thank Netgalley and William Morrow for the opportunity to read and review this cookbook.

This new version was so nostalgic for me. I have my grandma’s copy, my mom’s copy, and now my grandma-in-laws copy of this traditional cookbook. I have so many copies of this beloved cookbook and they are all different! It was wonderful to read through this new version and see all of the fun facts and tidbits. The photos were great and the layout was fantastic. I read this in e-book format and will definitely be buying the physical copy to add to my collection! My thanks to the publisher for the advance copy in exchange for my honest review.

I adore this cookbook! It’s the perfect combination of Betty Crocker’s history and vintage classics with a modern twist. I’m looking forward to making quite a few of these recipes at home in my own kitchen. The hush puppy fried chicken sounds delicious. I’m also going to try my hand at making the soft cherry cookies. I’ll definitely recommend this cookbook for purchase once it’s released. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my ARC.
