I took the test in the book and saw that the "rest of my busy mind" has really been curtailed. I still struggle with procrastination due to fear of having been thrown into the deep-end and quickly learning to swim or drown. With that experience comes fear, the desire to avoid, self-talk, ie, "let's not do THAT again" and other healthy and unhealthy techniques that I choose to keep in my life. But thanks to cancer, and my athletic prowess, I just don't have the many issues that used to plague me for hours, days, months, years, etc. So, the book was read quickly in order to see what was being suggested.
With all that said - the book was very good in putting forth the actions (passive or active) one can do to stop the insanity of thinking, worrying, and overthinking. Many of her suggestions I had done on my own (probably through osmosis of someone else's teaching). She has you write, write, write, review, check in, and become more aware. It's a process and SPOILER alert ... you can't get it done in 3 hours or less. Trust me. It takes time.
The book is another way of approaching this over-thinking dilemma. There are many ways out there. I'm glad this one is available.
