I love going into a book not knowing what you are going to get. (Read any trigger warnings) I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book. When I tell you I couldn’t put it down I really couldn’t. Maricela is a strong FMC and doesn’t take anyone’s crap. She won’t break (or will she?) for anyone or anything. Queue Killian son of the capo of the Italian mafia. He’s the dark son the one who will do anything. But he’s tasked with breaking Maricela. The question becomes who breaks who? Can Maricela trust the people that she thinks are family? The ending was just so much more than I anticipated. It ends in a cliffhanger.
This story is captivating and will have you on edge. I cannot wait to get more of Maricela and Killian.

Fabulous debut. Compelling, steamy and oh, so good!
This story is filled with characters I can't wait to see more of and characters I can't wait to see get taken down.

Huge dark romance fan here and I love a good Bully/romance, mafia trope. I.V. Cox did not disappoint or shy away from some dark and hard content so please check the trigger warnings. I found myself immersed into the story and left wanting more from these characters! I cannot wait for the next book!

My first mafia book, and OMG, so freakin' good!
Awesome characters. So many we love to hate and even some we hate to love. And what a story!

This book was so good.
First half of the book I went from mad to ewwwwww to laughing so hard I snorted. I’m over here rooting for killian and Maricela #teammarlian or maybe “kil”Mari ! Oh I think I like kilmari much better.
The crap Maricela had to indure was just not cool. That 🍌 thou. And 🐰 undies 🤌🏽💋. FERAL
Lila has it coming and I just wanna jump into the book and unalive her!
