Všímavost a Já: Od sebeléčení k sebepřesahování

Kniha čerpá z moderních terapeutických přístupů a integruje poznatky neurověd, psychedelického výzkumu i tradiční buddhistické psychologie. Obsahuje 20 praktických cvičení a představuje postupy a techniky, které lze využít v psychoterapii i v rámci osobního rozvoje.

Jan Benda, Ph.D. (www.jan-benda.com) is a Czech psychologist, psychotherapist, and author with more than twenty-five years of clinical experience and over thirty years of Vipassana meditation practice. His work explores the intersection of psychotherapy, mindfulness, Buddhist psychology, and contemporary research on the self, emotion, and psychological change.

Over the course of his long-term meditation practice, he has completed numerous retreats, including extended periods of practice in Sri Lanka, where he also studied Buddhist psychology and Abhidhamma. This combination of contemplative practice and clinical experience has strongly shaped his approach to psychotherapy.

He is the author of *Mindfulness and the Self: Mindfulness-Informed Integrative Psychotherapy* (Portál, 2024; Routledge, 2025; Schattauer, 2025). The book presents an integrative model connecting mindfulness with emotion-focused, cognitive-behavioral, experiential, and relational approaches to psychotherapy.

Jan Benda also trains psychotherapists and mental health professionals, with a particular focus on mindfulness-informed integrative psychotherapy, compassion, corrective emotional experience, and altered states of consciousness.

His aim is to make the insights of contemplative traditions accessible within modern psychotherapy while remaining grounded in clinical practice and psychological science.

Kniha dobre integruje psychologickou klasiku a soucasne progresivni smery. Vsimavost je pojata do hloubky, zakotvena do budhisticke tradice a zajimave propojena s autorovou psychoterapeutickou praxi.
