This is an Age Gap, Rich Girl/Poor Girl, Different Worlds, Boss/Employee Lesbian/Sapphic Romance. Super spicy, super sweet and as always with Emily Hayes, a Happy Ever After.
Sofie Rosswell is a fashion school graduate working in a coffee shop when she is confronted with a difficult, demanding and very glamorous customer- the fashion mogul and CEO of the biggest New York Fashion Magazine- Gabriella Galena.
Sofie is intimidated by Gabriella, but entranced by her and finds herself very attracted to her.
When Gabriella offers Sofie a job, all of Sofie's dreams of working in the fashion world might come true.
But, Gabriella looks at Sofie with hungry eyes, and Sofie likes it.
Sofie can't risk her dream job by sleeping with the boss, can she?
Book 6 in the series and each one just keeps getting hotter! Interesting storyline, fairly quick read. The spice was on fire! Age gap. Ice Queen. Boss/assistant. Domme/submissive.
A tiny bit confusing with some changing timelines and storylines. I just went with it after a couple of wait wasn’t it this or that in a previous chapter?
Fast paced with fast connections, sizzling scenes and emotional growth (hea) is definitely worth the read!
I think that this book “Melting The Heart Of The CEO” is my favorite in the series. I think that Gabriella and Sofie were so connected and the chemistry was amazing. After Gabriella hired Sofie, pulling her from the coffee house job she loved, Gabriella realizes just how smart and sweet Sofie is. As she starts a consensual affair with Sofie, Gabriella finds that Sofie calms her. As the affair continues for a few months, feelings are heightened but only Sofie is admitting she is in love. With her confession, Gabriella has become determined to keep affair going even though she told Sofie that she couldn’t date her. But things don’t work out for either one of them and it must end. This was a well written story that had me rooting for the two of them to wake up and smell the coffee. Another good one, Emily!
The worse it gets. Age gaps are one thing but almost thirty years is just too much. Sometimes, readers as asked to suspend their disbelief. And given the nature of the age gap trope, we try to. I mean, we really try to. And if a story is well crafted and well written, belief can be suspended.
But asking me to suspend my disbelief with story riddled with errors, both grammatical and plot wise? This isn’t the first book in which my copy is marked with notes - proper nouns aren’t capitalised. Character names are swapped. Plot points forgotten, dropped or misremembered, in a book that clocks in at under 200 pages.
The CEO series is fine for a bit of kinky fun. But asking me to take these novellas as serious pieces of work, work that is clearly not edited, is a bridge too far.
Just the type of enriching yet revealing kind of sapphic story about a down on her luck young woman; with a lust for a rewarding life. And then theirs the other person you know the one that has been just doing not living just doing❗ Now we have that moment where they encounter each other but only briefly. I love these types of books because they make me feel happy if only briefly😢☺️❗ Thanks Emily H.
I love Emily Hays books but this one was a bit much for me. I enjoyed it. I can’t pit my finger on the problem. Is 30 years difference too much? Maybe. Wa the sex too much? Maybe. I really don’t know. But her books are always enjoyable to me so I will keep buying them. 4 stars is better than a lot of today’s authors.
Emily Hayes is one gifted author in every field! I am blown away with the emotional tone of this story and the setting is one I have no background in. The characters as vibrant as can be and the setting is off the charts. I can’t wait to read the next one in this series.
i really do enjoy the ceo series do not get me wrong. the spice in this was delicious. i always love an age gap, poor/rich story but there were parts in this story where gabriella would say something that,,, does not sound like something someone in their 50s would say. that being said,, i did enjoy this lmao. it was a yummy quick read
Finally it arrived and it was worth the wait 😊. A 5 star for this sizzling, rollercoaster, 🔥 and enticing series. This book blew my mind and could not even put it down for a min. 😉 Follow readers, you will enjoy this amazing series as i have.
Loved the beginning, the middle and the end of the story. Well done. Sigue should have played harder to get but then it's fiction. I loved Gabrielle character a hard persona in her quest for power. Good writing. Good pace. Perfectly good characters. Recommended. Must be over 18. Lol.
This book is very spicy. I loved both of the main characters. They were both relatable and one had issues that needed to be addressed so she could get her hea. I would recommend reading if you love power play dynamic stories.
By the time I got to about the 15% mark, I knew I wouldn't finish. I like Ms. Hayes' CEO books for a bit of escapism and some kinky goodness, but as soon as the story
I enjoyed the book. Definitely showing love is love no matter the age difference or any difference at all. Looking forward to reading more of your books.
