When my brothers and I decided to start a new life inside a new pack that accepted us, when all others turned us away, I vowed never to endure the pain of a mate bond again. However, I should have known fate always enjoys playing games with us. One look and everything I’ve built comes crashing down around me. When I took up an extra shift, one gaze threw everything I had ever worked for out the window. Conrad Miller, my newest pack’s Beta, was my second chance at a mate. Blessed by the Moon goddess, he was supposed to be my perfect half. The person who was made to complete my soul, my happily ever after. From his compassion to his protectiveness, he’s everything my wolf has ever wanted. However, I want nothing to do with him. Unfortunately, he refuses to take no for an answer.
Now, I'm torn between the mate bond and my own desires.

I am an author currently based on the South Coast of England. I write sweet, fun, action-packed fantasy. My characters are clever, fearless, and adventurous but in real life, I spend all of my time curled up with a book in my hands, daydreaming. Let's face it. I wouldn't last five minutes in one of my books.
Great paranormal romance with tons of heated romance and action scenes! Loved reading about Conrad and April and learning about the packs.
Pages are filled with charming characters that you are rooting for! You never know what werewolf politics might get in the way of that fated, mated love though!
April's first mate, Josh ended up being a cheat and jerk so April refused to be his mate and she and her brother's left. They are finally able to find a new pack who will accept them and April gets a job at a cafe as well as working at her brother's auto shop. She doesn't plan on having a mate after the horrible first one so when Conrad walks into the cafe and April recognizes him as her mate, she runs. April and Conrad are both wolf shifters and finding a mate should be a happy occasion but it's not for April, she's been through this once already and isn't going to do it again.
But Conrad doesn't take no for an answer, he just wants her to give him a shot, get to know him a little before she rejects him completely. Conrad is the pack's Beta so either way April knows that she's going to have to see him and agrees to go out with him once to get to know him better. He's nothing like Josh and she's incredibly attracted to him. So she gives him a chance, slowly. But then there's a miscommunication and their relationship takes a backseat until Conrad realizes that April is in danger from her past.
I loved the banter between her and her family. They were great and they loved her and it showed. Conrad is such a nice guy, I loved him.
April and Josh were to be mated until she came home found him in bed with someone else and he told her that she was his mate but he wanted others too. He was losing it after she rejected him the pack wasn’t happy being Josh was the pack beta, her and family moved away. April worked two jobs// at the automotive shop and the cafe, one night the alpha and mate came in the cafe so did Conrad found his was the beta so she ran decided no mate. Conrad got to talk to her for a few minutes finally agreed to a date had a nice time and another one, she told him what happened with Josh. Josh found her but she took care of him but when she went to see Conrad he told her something she didn’t want to hear so she backed off. Her family attacked him but she explained after Conrad told why he had said what he did everything good. Good book!.

April was supposed to be Josh’s mate, but he announced that he wanted free access to additional females despite having his mate! That was not acceptable to April and she and her family left to find a new pack. As a result, she firmly resolved to never again accept a mate bond. Unfortunately, despite her determination, Fate has presented her a second chance at having a mate in the new pack – Conrad Miller, the pack’s Beta. He would be perfect for her, the second half of her soul. But she wants nothing to do with him, even though he is patient and willing to give her time to change her mind. Can he convince her to give him that chance? Or is she determined to never put her heart on the line again?
Poor April had already had her heart broken by a mate. Her and her family had to move and start over. Then she meets her 2nd mate Conrad. She wants nothing to do with him but he's willing to be patient and give her time.
When April was having movie night with her twin brother Dax I had tears running down my face from laughing so hard. I can't wait for Dax story.

This book is about do-overs and second chances. I liked April and understood why she didn’t trust easily. Conrad has to earn her trust… and why not! This is enjoyable, fun and kept me entertained!
