Benji and Briar were once best friends. 3 years ago Benji was forced to leave her behind. Now that he is back, things have changed. Is Benji still the same guy Briar fell in love with?
I felt like there wasnt much interaction between the couple until much later on. There wasntenough romance & steam for me and maybe Benji's situation felt like the main focus. There was times I wanted to kick Benji but then I liked how protective he was over Briar.
I liked how book started off a bit angsty. The story became more of a suspense, it made me nervous for what was to follow. I couldnt put it down and it was a solid 4 star until THAT ending.
I'm PISSED. I've got to start checking more thoroughly for CH warnings.
The book is fast paced, engaging and very interesting, if not a little far fetched, but I'm just an angry reader left with a bitter taste in my mouth. I may cave bc I was really enjoying the story, but I hope I don't give in and buy the next book.
I'd really just rather give my money to legit authors that give their readers a fucking resolution at the end of each book or installment and don't have to use dangled carrots to sell their next book. If you've read any of my reviews on this subject- you know the ones that make me the maddest are the ones that I enjoyed the most. So yes, until the end I enjoyed the story very much and think the author did a great job. It's just a shame in my opinion this is the route they took to continue the story.
There was NO CH warning with the blurb on Amazon (I just double checked). Call it what you want, but it feels disingenuous to me.
I would have probably rated it a 3.95-4.00 star had it not been for the ending. Since, I liked it but am so angered by the teaser of an ending I'm just not going to rate it. That's as fair as I can be to this talented (but misguided IMHO) author.
This story was absolutely amazing! I loved every angst-filled minute of it!!! Infinitely is not a book for everyone. It contains drug-use, murder, broken hearts and men who come riddled with trouble. If you follow my reviews, you know that this is EXACTLY my kind of book. I love when I can get lost in a story and have my heart beat faster with anticipation or even have my heart broken by the characters. When a book grabs me and evokes those emotions in me, the author did their job correctly. You pulled me into the story and I felt what they did. You took me away from my life for the few short hours it took me to read it.
I don't want to give too much away in regards to the story, but I will say that I fell hard for Benji and Jaxon. Those boys stole my heart with how much they endured and how they handled those horrible things that life threw at them. Briar, that girl is so tough, and I love when I am given a strong female lead character. And the ending. Fuck that ending was brutal. Cheryl did a fantastic job of writing this story and now I'm going to be impatiently waiting to get my greedy little hands on the next installment.
FYI please read the warning! If these things bother you, you won't like the story! *Due to harsh language, violence, drug use, and sexual situations, this book is recommended for 17+.
Hell no. Another cliffhanger. And a stupid one @ that. SPOILER!!!!!! Briar & Benji don't get together till the end, which I hated. Then, for some fucked up reason, Benji & Jax go into Witness Protection, while everyone thinks they're dead. WTF?!? BRIAR killed Delphi. With Delphi & his right hand man dead, WHY put the brothers in WItness Protection? Who are they hiding from? No one around to threaten anyone & if ANYONE was going to be threatened it would be Briar since she killed him. SHE should go into Witness Protection.
This book is different from anything Cheryl McIntyre has written before: here, she branches out into an entirely new category of New Adult writing. If I had to label it, I'd call this New Adult Crime Fiction, and it very well might be the first of its kind. I'm not one for spoilers so let me just say that with the first two chapters "Infinitely" drew me in, in a way only a handful books have managed before.
I am a jaded reader, but already on page 4 I wore a wobbly smile and eyes brimming with tears because I was so invested in the characters and their story. How the heck did that happen so fast? Well, "Infinitely" slams the power of love into you in such a deep, real way that you're bound to live Benji and Briar's story from the moment you sink your teeth into it.
Just—read this one. It's different, beautifully written, and in the midst of the love, the terror, and the suspense you'll experience—let me throw in the added perk of an uber-hot hero (or two!) and some seriously steamy love scenes. <3
4.5 Stars Faith's review Deep down in the depths of your heart, there is always that one person that holds that spot wrapped up tight no matter the time, distance or what they have become in order to survive.
Since the moment Briar's parents brought her home from the hospital, Benji and she have always been best friends. Passing notes along a clothes line between their houses; a friendship grew and so did their feelings for one another. But fate, her messed up way of thinking, has stuck her little nose in these two's perfect world.
"We aren't kids anymore, I wish to hell I could go back to that time, be young and carefree. But it's never going to happen. That's the thing about life-it keeps going on whether you're ready for it or not. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad, but it always is.
Three years ago, Benji's mother was kicked out of her father's house. Benji took off with her and her drug using ways to protect his little brother Jax. He didn't want to leave, but he didn't want his brother turning out the way their mother had. It wasn't Jax he needed to worry about, he should have worried about himself becoming an addict. He led the crazy life of dealing and using drugs.
With absolutely no contact since Benji moved, Briar decided to move on. Flynn, her boyfriend, is just awesome. He knows that he is just the "fill in" for Benji, and as much as that tears him up, he continues to love Briar. Briar has never been able to love Flynn the way she loved Benji. Briar really is a sweet young woman. She attends college, helps her parents out on the farm, and tends to her other love; Kingston, her horse.
Just a couple hours ago he didn't want me anywhere near him. Now he's telling me I'm all he thinks about. The way he's looking at me right now is not how one looks at somebody they hate. His gaze is searing into me, heated and full of desire.
After Benji's mother dies in what they labeled an overdose, Benji and his brother Jax flee home to the safety of their grandpa's house. While Briar is battling with herself on what she did to Benji for him not to talk to her, Benji is trying to overcome his addiction with his pill popping ex-girlfriend that he is just using to have one up on his mother's dealer Delphi. He is refusing to see her until he is again worthy enough of her love. But Delphi and his men take that away from him. With a series of events that will leave you on the edge of your seat with you mouth hanging open, Benji vows to keep Briar safe from these men. And with them being forced together, you will finally see the love that these two have for each other soar.
"I wish I had the right words to make you believe how much you mean to me. I loved you before I left, I loved you the entire time I was gone, and I haven't stopped loving you. I love you so f#*king much I don't know how to feel any other way about you."
Most secondary characters are just fillers in a book, but these carry such a big role. Kameron, the feisty best friend, is constantly looking out for Briar. And doesn't hesitate to leave with them even though at one point she decides that she can't do this anymore, she still stands with her bestie. Flynn stole my heart with the way he loved Briar and how he dealt with his loss thanks to the storm that Benji brought with him upon his arrival. And you can tell that Jax is the youngest that loves his brother no matter what. He protects him, watches out for Briar, and is furiously protective of Kam.
I'm not even sure that a rollercoaster ride would be enough to explain all the emotions that were packed into this book. Sure you have your lingering questions on how this and that happens, but you don't realize that -until you finish the book and are trying to piece it all together. What I can tell you is that if you are looking for a love story full of hearts and butterflies-this is not what this read is about. It's part love story and part thriller. Holy smokes, I couldn't put it down. It sucks you in right from the beginning and sinks its claws in to you and never lets go. Another thing I loved was that you got your alternating POV's. What Benji is enduring through the read was just heart wrenching. I know, Briar was the girl left behind and then had thrown into a shit storm, but Benji's love for her tore me apart. And then his thoughts on his battle with the addiction had some salty tears falling.
"I love you Benjamin Borelli and I always will. Even when my heart no longer beats, it will still be filled with love for you." I traced the symbol for infinity on his chest, over his heart. "Yours for eternity."
So with the unforeseen, emotionally filled cliffhanger, I can not stinking wait until the next book!
OH MY LANTA, (Maybe Spoiler :)) Wow, can't even explain how great this book was ..ARC PROVIDED BY AUTHOR FOR HONEST REVIEW ---definitely READ NOW but seriously this book has left me in awe.... I cant find a book worth reading now lol im scarred by this book Cheryl McINTYRE ... To start it off ...Briar is a lovable sweet person, which everyone can relate to .. the love lost young scenario...but when we hear about Benji our minds are blown to pieces ...the scars this kid carries is indescribable... reading this book would be the best choice you could ever make.... If reading about angst, love plus a shock value, this book is definitely for you... Cheryl McIntyre created a book that will leave you breathless from beginning to the end ... to be honest lol I read it 3 times already since I was provided the ARC ....
I had no idea the level of "heavy" I was going to experience with this novel. Benji's story isn't a pretty one. The life he and Jax brought back with them is scary and dangerous.
Throughout the ugliness of this story, Cheryl McIntyre weaves a lovely love story. I don't know how she does it. My heart was beating out of my chest! I was scared, devastated, moved and in love throughout.
Cheryl McIntyre steals part of my heart every time I read one of her books and Infinitely wasn’t any different. Part love story, part thriller Infinitely had me glued to its pages late into the night desperate to find out how Benji and Briar’s story ended. Briar and Benji have been best friends since they can remember. Living close to one another they sent messages back and forth by a clothes line they connected to their bedroom windows. As their friendship grew so did their feelings. Even at a young age Benji and Briar knew their relationship was special. As years passed they evolved from friends, to puppy love, to lovers. Told in alternating points of view, we get to see in the form of flashbacks how the pivotal moments in their past bonded them for life. Sadly for Benji, when your mother loves drugs more than her next breath a happy ending isn’t something you can hope for. When Benji’s mother is kicked out of her father’s home, Benji follows her to protect his younger brother Jaxon. Leaving Briar is the hardest thing he has ever had to do. He hates his mother for putting him in this situation. Unfortunately he knows without him there to protect Jax, it’s only time before his brother follows in their mother’s footsteps. When Benji leaves, he and Briar both pledge their hearts to one another. But, the ominous feeling that surrounds their tender moment foreshadows the hard times to come. With absolutely no contact from Benji since the day he left, Briar’s only choice is to move on with her life. She attends college and helps out on her family’s farm in the summer. A childhood friend, Flynn, takes Benji’s place as her boyfriend. Even though her feelings for Flynn will never compare to those she has for Benji she tries her hardest to love him the way he deserves. Feisty with a passion for life, Briar’s friend Kameron watches over Briar in a way only a best girl friend could. Kameron pushes Briar out of her shell when she needs it, lectures her for forgetting to eat and becoming too thin, and worries about her inability to move on from Benji. While Briar is trying to live with out Benji, Benji is just trying to focus on staying alive. After the death of his mother, Benji and his brother Jaxon begin a game of cat and mouse with their mother’s dealer and sometimes boyfriend, Delphi. A series of mistakes, acts of jealousy, and vengeance cause the brothers to escape back to the only place they feel safe, their grandfather’s home. Once Benji comes home the interaction between him and Briar is strained to put it mildly. Unknown to her, Benji is trying push Briar away to keep her from finding his secret. He refuses to let Briar see him until he feels worthy of her. Too bad the heinous actions of Delphi’s men cause Benji to throw all his plans out the window in effort to keep Briar safe. As always, the characters Cheryl McIntyre creates are so full of depth there is no way you can keep yourself from connecting with them deeply. The pain both Benji and Briar feel is so raw, especially as the novel progresses and the danger around them escalates. In many novels the secondary characters are only there to fill up space. But, in McIntyre’s books each character fills an important roll. There is no way to not attach yourself to every single person you are introduced to. Flynn, Jax and Kameron found their way into my heart just as much as Benji and Briar. Every bullet, every bruise, every loss cut me to my core. This is not a book for the faint of heart. There is death, blood, and pain at every turn. But for every hurt there is also a moment of kindness, no matter how small. The novel was a constant struggle between goodness and destruction that made me hold my breath with each turn of the page. As with all books I had a few questions. What kind of community did Briar and Benji live in that was quaint enough to ride horses in to town like it was a common occurrence? How did Briar live in the country but Benji’s house was close enough to be able to see inside his bedroom window and pass notes? And, what exactly did Briar’s parents do? The multiple scenes of working in the corn field by hand, without any machinery was confusing (especially from a girl who grew up on a farm in North Dakota). A bit more of background or explanation would have been helpful. But, even with these oddities I still found myself so engrossed that these details became insignificant compared to the love I had for the story. Cheryl McIntyre never lets me down. This novel is definitely different from her Sometimes Never Series. I actually found it to be more similar to her newest series, Dirty (which by the way I absolutely LOVE and highly recommend). Fans of her past work will no doubt fall in love with Benji and Briar just as hard and fast as I did. And, with the unexpected, emotionally charged end of Infinitely I can only hope for the second book in the series to come out as soon as possible. 4.5 Stars
Infinately by Cheryl McIntyre is book one in the new full novel length series. It is a new adult thriller with graphic scenes of violence and drug abuse. It is also the angsty romance that we readers love. It is a second chance story. It ends on a major cliffhanger that has readers reeling. It leaves a lot of questions that readers want answered soon.
Infinately is the story of two young kids that have been best friends since they were toddlers. The two are separated in their teens when one of their families leaves the small farming community they grew up in. Briar stayed behind and tried to pick up the pieces of a broken heart. Benji moved onto a violent life and drug abuse. Now Benji is back and everything has changed. He is no longer the boy Briar once loved. He is a very troubled young man. He has brought his sins home with him. His violent life is stalking him and all those he cares for.
When danger and death come knocking on the door everything changes. Briar, Benji, and their friends will have to go on the run to escape from a drug lord with a vendetta.
Secrets will be revealed. Love will be found. Hearts will be broken. Lives will be lost. It is a high cost to all involved. The only reward is love Infinately.
This book has had mixed reactions in the reading community. This book is a thrilling and chilling adventure with a doomed romance. I could not put the book down. When I came to the last page I was shocked with the final cliffhanger. I had a hard time understanding what happened. I think most of the readers reacted the same way. That was only one of the things in this book that got mixed reactions.
This story is captivating. The reader’s instantly connect with Briar and Benji. They experience their pain, heartbreak, and troubled lives. They experience their unconditional love for one another. This part of the story was perfection.
The secondary characters were just as captivating. The reader’s felt every emotion they were going through. They understood their fears and dedication to their friends. I understand some of the negative reactions to this book. Although this story was intense and the pacing kept the reader on the edge of their seat there were definitely some questionable scenes and holes in the plot. Here are a few of the questionable things I found in this story.
• There was never an attempt to go to the authorities that could help Benji get out from under Dephi’s control. While I understand there were corrupt police on his payroll, surely the DEA or FBI could of helped. Instead Benji took it upon himself to try to bring Delphi down. • Benji was depending on another person’s knowledge of Delphi’s operation. Benji had enough knowledge from working for Delphi to bring him down. • I had a hard time accepting that Briar’s parents went along with Benji’s plan. I know that if my child was placed in danger I would be trying to find a way to legally bring the threat to a halt. Yes, I would help my child hide until they were safe but I would also do everything in my power to find justice. I would not go to the news and create a story to throw the threat off their trail. I would let the authorities handle it. • How did Flynn just accept the situation so calmly? If I were him I would of killed Benji the moment I had a chance to. • Without the authorities being involved how did this ending happen?
This book was very addicting and a good book. It was easy to overlook some of these holes in the plot because it was so intense. I would recommend this book and am anxious for the sequel. I need to know what really happened in the end of the first book.
Cheryl McIntyre is a gifted storyteller. I think she has found her niche in writing new adult suspense. I have enjoyed every book she has written. She has a way with characterization that endears them to the reader.
I have to say this will probably one of the shortest reviews I am ever going to write. The reason for that is because anything I want to say about the book would be a major spoiler!!!!
I went into this book knowing that there was a cliffhanger, but I have to say NOTHING could've prepared me for this one. That ending is brutal. I have to say thank you to Cheryl McIntyre for at least giving us a little nibble in the Epilogue, so it at least takes away some of the sting. I will say if you don't like cliffhangers then you definitely want to wait for the second book to be released before starting this book. With that said…this Series is DEFINITELY one that is a MUST READ!!!!
I loved this book!!!! It was so much more then I thought it would be. This was not your typical NA second chance love story. Yes this is about two characters finding their way back to each other, but I have to say that truly takes a back seat to the mystery and suspense this book has. The storyline in this book was Fantastic!!!! This is killing me because I want to say so much and I can't. I will say that this is so different from any other books by Cheryl McIntyre. But if you liked her other books you will like this one as well. The writing is very similar in that she created a story and characters that just suck you in and hold on all the way to the end. This was a fairly quick read, but nothing seemed rushed. Yes there is some missing information but that is part of the storyline and what adds the element of suspense. I will say that with the way this book ends you would think that the story is over, until you read the epilogue and know that there is more coming!!!! The epilogue alone will create many questions and I can't wait until we get the answers in the next book.
One thing I can say about the story is that I LOVED all of the characters in this book. We meet Briar, Benji, Jax (Benji's Brother), Kameron (Briar's BFF) and Flynn (Friend of all of them) I can't remember the last book I read that I actually walked away thinking to myself how much I loved all the characters. All three guys were totally swoon worthy!!!
I would definitely recommend this book!!!! It is one that will grab you right from the beginning and not let go until it's over. You really can't turn the pages fast enough. This is one I will definitely read over and over again.
I was given a ARC in exchange for my honest review.
If I could give this story more than 5 stars I would gladly do that!
Infinitely... holy balls I have no clue where to even start. I was sucked in from the very start, the first couple pages and when Benji goes out of his way to get her that doll, I was hooked. This story grabs you and does not let you go. I have read all of Cheryl's books and this is probably by far my favorite. Each book she gets better and I can see the growth and progression in her writing. This was INTENSE!!! FOR REAL! and I thought Link was intense. Briar (beautiful name) and Benji were fated to be together basically since she was born and he was a toddler. They grew up together and were best friends and became lovers. When they were teenagers his mothers addiction forced them to leave and with that he left Briar behind. Fast forward three years and Benji is no longer the boy he was. The streets, drugs and his mother have corrupted him in ways no human should have to go through. She was killed as part of a debt and he was forced to return home with his brother Jaxon. Trying to kick a nasty habit he keeps his distance from Briar and for the life of her she does not understand why. And that is when all hell breaks loose and Benji's past comes to collect. The group are thrown into a shit storm and on the run from what haunts Benji. We are taken on a roller coaster ride of emotions, highs and lows and intense story line. Cheryl does not disappoint with the content and story line and the end... I was LIKE WTF!!! I am STILL LIKE WTF!!!!!!!!! ugh... it was pure amazingness. Cheryl blows my mind every.single.time. The next installment cannot come fast enough! I have soo many questions I need answered, I want to know more!! I NEED MORE!! UGHH!! AMAZING, BRILLIANT, SPECTACULAR, PHENOMENAL, CAPTIVATING, ALLURING...just..I have no words... speechless... I am also soo very upset with Benji right now...I am still trying to wrap my mind over WTF just happened lol.
"You're strong, Benji. You can do this. And if you start to slip, I'll jump in after you."
"I wish I had the right words to make you believe how much you mean to me. I loved you before I left, I loved you the entire time I was gone, and I haven't stopped loving you. I love you so fucking much I don't know how to feel any other way about you."
I was given this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
To me, this is the story of Briar, Benji, Jaxon, Flynn & Kameron. Briar & Benji were like a crazy/intense couple. They had known each other all their lives and had been friends forever. They were just fated to be in each other's lives. Then Benji had to move away bc his mom was kicked out of his grandpa's house bc of her careless lifestyle & his younger brother Jaxon wanted to go with her. Benji didn't want to leave Briar, but he felt he needed to protect & take care of Jaxon.
Three years has gone by & Briar & Benji had not seen each other or spoken to each other. Benji had followed in his mother's footsteps into a careless life of drugs, dealing & craziness. Briar lived a simple life with her sweet parents & her boyfriend, Flynn. She loves Flynn, but she lets him know real quick that she would choose Benji over him in a second. Flynn knew this anyway, but he risks his heart with Briar anyway bc he loves her so much. When Benji comes back to town after his mother's death & trying to escape his old lifestyle & HEAVY debts his mother owed, EVERYTHING goes nuts & tragedy follows.
I just want you to know, I LOVED Flynn! I REALLY LOVED Jaxon! I LOVED Kameron! I also REALLY LOVED Briar's parents! Thank you for making me love the secondary characters!
The ending was absolutely crazy & mind-blowing. This story was heartbreaking, intense, incredible & I LOVED IT! I didn't want it to end & you'll understand why when YOU read it! Trust me, you want to read this book!
I absolutely loved this book! This book was SO INCREDIBLY different from anything that's out there right now or anything I've read, which is such a good thing! It seems there is a formula for most authors, but I really love an author who is more focused on the story & the intense connection with the friendships, family members, & other characters than the stuff that doesn't matter as much. Words are so powerful & every time I read a Cheryl McIntyre book, I feel so connected with what I'm reading that I NEVER want it to end!
I enjoyed this one, the whole second chance at love story really drew me in and the story was full of angst, passion, suspense and unexpected twists and turns! 4 stars
"We aren't kids anymore, I wish to hell I could go back to that time, be young and carefree. But it's never going to happen. That's the thing about life-it keeps going on whether you're ready for it or not. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad, but it always is."
Three years ago, Benji's and his family moved due to his mother being kicked out of his grandfather’s house. This moved caused Benji and Briar to lose contact, and they were each others world. Benji couldn’t deal with losing Briar, and fell into his mother’s habits of using drugs to escape, and then he starts dealing to support his habit. Briar, with no contact from Benji, turned to Flynn for comfort, and starts a relationship with him. Benji’s Mom makes a grave mistake, a mistake that causes her death, and soon Benji and his brother Jax are on their way back to their home town and bringing a load of trouble with them. Briar is excited to see Benji again despite the circumstances, but she learns that Benji is not the same person that left, and he does everything he can to avoid her. Soon this group of friends are forced on the run, Benji vows to do everything he can to keep Briar safe from the men that are after him. What happens when these two are forced together….will old feeling arise, and what about Flynn?
"I wish I had the right words to make you believe how much you mean to me. I loved you before I left, I loved you the entire time I was gone, and I haven't stopped loving you. I love you so f#*king much I don't know how to feel any other way about you."
"Yours for eternity."
I enjoyed this emotional, rollercoaster ride! Just beware…there is an action packed, passion filled cliffhanger involved! I can’t wait to get my greedy little fingers on the next book!
After reading the Dirty series by Cheryl McIntyre I went looking for more books by this girl. The blurb to Infinitely sounded right up my alley featuring long lost loves reuniting, but boy oh boy there is lots going on for these characters.
Briar has been missing the love of her life for 3 long years. Sure she has moved on, but has never really given her heart to anybody else, including her current boyfriend Flynn. The day Benji moved was the day life changed for Briar as she never heard from him again. Home for the summer, Briar is helping out on her family's farm and hanging out with her best friend Kameron and Flynn.
A tragedy finally brings Benji and his brother Jax back to town, however this Benji is nothing like the one Briar lost all those years ago. He is hardened, strung out and bringing along a boat load of dangerous baggage to the small town. Keeping his distance from Briar is futile and he finally sees the girl of his dreams. She is cautious of him which he understands, but doesn't like it one bit.
And now the story gets absolutely crazy. Briar's poor boyfriend not only get the bad end of the stick from Briar, Benji's past hits him right in the heart as well. I almost wish the Flynn character was written out of the story, it was just so sad. Anyhow, Briar, Benji, Flynn, Jax and Kameron are all now involved with Benji's sordid past and have to make a run for it.
I think the characters I understood the least were Briar's parents. For as protective and close as they were with their only child, they sure let her go without a fight, even pushing her along. That is where the story really started to lose me a little and I wondered how it was all going to come together. Needless to say it doesn't. The book ends with a cliffhanger ending, but it was one that peaked my interest and I will continue the series to see how it plays out.
This is a very different type of read from the author's Sometimes Never series. I'm definitely going to give her a thumbs up for having the balls to adventure into the suspense/action genre, as well as tackle the topic of drug addiction. The actions and thought process of the drug addicted hero was very well researched, written and executed but in saying that, it stripped away a bit of the romantic illusions that I normally swoon over when reading some of her previous books - so I guess I have mixed feelings about that.
I did enjoy this book although I must admit that it's not my favourite from this author. I absolutely recommend this book to anyone who likes action and realism mixed with their romance. All the main characters were very likeable with no annoyingly stupid traits and the twists and plots were very well thought out and believable.
This story is written in dual POV's of the h&H and is part of a series - so get ready for a cliffhanger, although not a pull-your-hair-out cliffhanger but a cliffhanger nonetheless. I will definitely be reading the next instalment of this series because I'm curious to see where this author will take this story.
What a strange ride! The first 40% of the book I was loving it!! Then one thing after another happens that is just so far fetched, you start thinking what the heck am I reading??? Maybe you can ignore the 20 somethings decisions as ridiculous, but not Briar's parents. Just bizzaro.
But then you start to ignore the silliness and go with it, because the characters suck you back in.
Finally, you are like the book is ending and there is no way she can fit an ending in the amount of pages that are left and then of course CLIFFHANGER!
But honestly, I kind of liked the cliffhanger. It was different then any I've read before and very intriguing. Before the epilogue I didn't think I would read the second book, but now I will.
Looking back still thinking what the heck did I just read, but in the end kind of liked it :)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ definitely a must read!!!! ARC provided by Author,
I finished this amazing Book in one setting, the writing is absolutely fantastic!!! Benji & Briar will blow your mind with there sexual tension between them and the emotional roller coaster they take you on with! I had a couple WTH moment a lot of OOO NOOO YOU DIDN'T moments but the last page did it for me I was in shock!!!! I really enjoyed every page of this Book and will recommend this to everyone!!!! BRAVO 5 stars if not more!!
Let me preface by saying I love the Sometimes Never series by this author! Unfortunately, I was so-so on this one. There were multiple plot holes, in my opinion, that bothered me: the killers go to Flynn's house, but don't think to go by the grocery that SAYS Borrellis?? Also, the fact that Benji put everyone at risk by coming home, and they didn't seem angry by that fact. And...Briar's parents seemed very calm and accepting of the whole shebang. In addition, I struggled with Benji as a person. I would've liked to see a little more quest for redemption, maybe?
WTF!!!! What an intense read - there were so many unexpected twists, and ...deaths... The ending has left me speechless. I'm not sure if I'm sad, in awe, or effing pissed! Damn.
I wanted to like this story but it wasn't for me. I hate hate hate love triangles and this chick Briar is one big mess. She loves one guy but she's with another dude. Not my cup of tea.
What the heck did I just read?! Things just went from bizarre to freaky in a snap. I don't know where to start. And WTF with the ending. Thought it's better off without book 2 though.
What just happened? I'll admit, there was a point that I thought the story was slipping, - a little - but overall, this story definitely changes things up. There is definitely nothing predictable. But, I'm not saying anymore than that, as I don't want to give anything away. Off for book two.
