Bonnie was running away from an arranged marriage and ran right into the trunk of her brother’s enemy, Rogan. Hoping to slip out of the car and stay hidden didn’t happen. What this Little didn’t expect was to find not one, but two Daddies.
Rogan wasn’t expecting a girl to slip into his car. He definitely wasn’t expecting one of his workers to show interest in the Little girl he thought might be his.
Raynar knew that Rogan was going through a hard time and didn't want his attraction to Rogan to be an added burden. What he didn’t expect was to also grow attached to Bonnie so quickly.
Will Bonnie be able to let go of what happened to her and trust the men she has growing feelings for? Will Raynar learn to balance his Daddy and Little sides? Will Rogan be able to deal with having two Littles?
This is an age play book. If you are comfortable reading about age play, spicy scenes, discipline (including spankings, corner time, and more), then this is the book for you!
Believe me, I live for the strictest, harshest, most broody Daddy Dom ever— but this was off-putting for me. I enjoy rigidity and discipline, but this felt cruel to me. Rogan wasn’t nice. Not like “he’s tough on the surface” but just, kind of an A-hole with few if any redeeming qualities. The fact he belittled Bonnie so often like “don’t cry” and telling her she’s weak, it wasn’t fun for me. And again, I say this as someone who enjoys harsh/strict/hardcore male characters. I will never judge what other people like, so if you’re into really demeaning men who have very little nurturing and lots of criticizing, this might be for you! But I was disappointed. I love discipline, I love domination and power exchange— I LOVE a strong, harsh male character, but this wasn’t my cup of tea! I also thought the writing was very aggressive, far more harsh words than necessary to get the point across.
« Dis-moi », ordonna Raynar.
I didn't particularly like the first in this series but I love MMF so I was still wanting to try this one.
This "Daddy" yells at her to "stop fucking crying" over a dozen times in the first few times meeting. Like, screams it at her. He also screams things like "are you fucking deaf?" And when she throws up again (after being in a situation entirely his fault) he screams "what's wrong with you?"
And when he finds her beaten within an inch of her life, exposed and sliced with a knife all over her body, his reaction is to... Get mad at her for crying, yell at her, then storm out annoyed and leave her there strapped to a chair in the dark because "it didn't look that bad" (she was repeatedly punched, kicked, and had dozens of small cuts sliced all over her skin to the point she says she has no skin that isn't covered in blood). Then he goes back to the cell to catch the guy who did it, still leaves her tied to a chair, gets annoyed at her for not answering him right away about things...
Then when she falls back on the CHAIR SHE IS STILL TIED TO and hits her head and starts vomiting he gets mad at her again, yells at her some more to "stop throwing up" then says he will spank her and calls her a good girl even though he has shown zero, and I mean zero, protective or compassionate Daddy traits. He has shown no interest in caring for her in any way, he didn't even untie her when he found her beaten and stabbed, but hey, I guess just throw a "good girl" out there....
There is this:
“It’s true. We want to ask a few questions about what happened, but nothing else bad is going to happen to you. What Miguel did to you shouldn’t have happened. We don’t hurt innocent people.”
And then a page later:
“You shouldn’t have told us you were afraid of the dark. What if we were the bad guys and we could use it against you?” Rogan barked. “You need to think before you say things.”
Make up ya damn mind.
So then he continues to leave her handcuffed to a chair in the basement after she was brutally tortured on his watch, because he still isn't sure if she's a threat and apparently can't just lock her in a room, no, he has to handcuff her to a chair in a cement basement. And berate her more for crying. Like, she's half dead, has been beaten, stabbed and tortured for 3 days in the dark, then got a concussion and has a blinding headache and can't stop vomiting and this dude is like "stop fucking crying and showing weakness! Handcuff her back to the chair!" While also assuring us he doesn't hurt innocent women.
Sure dude. You sound like a stand-up fellow. Lots of protective daddy instincts.
Then his mafia colleague is like "I can feel something is going on between you two."
Like what? Was that from the screaming in her face when she's crying, or from the indifference to her physical pain?
Then he does a 180. He is immediately her Daddy and he will win her over and protect her and be with her forever and....
“Aww, Little One. I didn't mean to make you cry,” he gently said as he sat down on the edge of the bed. “Are you feeling overwhelmed? Did I give you too many options?” Bonnie was confused. Why was he not reacting to her crying?
We are all confused Bonnie. He could be nice this whole time??
So it's good right? He will be he protector and love her and be there for her now?
Ha! She tearfully confesses how her brother asked her to do something and she won't because she loves her Daddies and he is like
"He couldn't lose her now. They were all finally getting along. Sure, the whole Ethan wanting her to spy on him was a bump in the road, but he’d been planning to come back to her once he figured everything out."
Oh. Well that was clear when you yelled at her, said you were "done" and then left and told her to stop texting you when she tried to reach out.
"She knew these were her last minutes to live."
Oh for... You've been in the woods like a few hours. Relax.
And then there's the almost no smexy times, none until after like 70% and then it's all
“I'm going to start entering,”
Oooh, talk dirty to me...
Anyways clearly this book wasn't for me. It was mostly just the story of an abusive guy, a man who had a crush on him that he strings along, and a woman he decides he wants strictly because he learns she's a little and he wants a little. He is manipulative dick to both of them but they put up with it because he's good looking and they like being told what to do.
And there's like 3 few paragraphs long smexy scenes, only one with MM, and you don't even get to read the good parts.
And the cover is a different title than the book. Which leads me to believe the addition of the other M was last minute.
DNF 18% I don't even know what the author was thinking when she wrote this. It's supposed to be age play which means the mmc/mmc's are supposed to be nice and gentle and comforting to her but for the first 18% he just yells at her and berates her for crying which is completely normal and expected for this sub genre and the title. Rogan likes to think he isn't like this father but he literally pushes the same ideals just without hitting/laying hands. I personally think he's basically abusive towards bonnie but that's just my opinion feel free to disagree. I didn't even see how he treats Ragnar but I assume it's could be just as bad.
TLDR: book was basically abuse and that's not okay
I had really high expectations of this book after the first part was so outstanding. The first part provided a nice transition to the second part, but this was only dealt with at the very end of the book, in the epilogue. The idea behind the book was really brilliant and with the right execution it could have been a really good book. Unfortunately, the execution was really bad. While reading it, it felt like Everly Raine just wanted to get the book done as quickly as possible without wanting it to be really good.
*There may be spoilers from here*
1. Rayner was completely unnecessary in the realization of the book. He barely made an appearance and had no impact on the plot. Without him, the book might even have read better and there would have been more time to focus on other things. 2. The relationship between Rogan and Raynar was virtually still there. They were just together at some point without the reader being told how it happened and what kind of dynamic they even have. 3. The relationship between Rayner and Bonnie was totally rushed. There were no meaningful conversations that the two of them had. They only watched a movie together once and cuddled with each other. By the end of the book, they were both still strangers who knew nothing about each other. 4. Rogan's "You can't cry it makes you weak" was very inappropriate in many places. He even says this to Bonnie after she has been kept in a dark cellar for 3 days without food or drink, where she was constantly beaten up by a man. 5. It also bothered me that Rogan, after finding out what had happened in the cellar, locked her back in there ("I don't know what happened. He locked her in there again ("until he found another solution"). 6. Later, he sent her to a guest house and left her there completely alone. The doctor who attended to her injuries was more of a daddy to Bonnie than Rogan and Rayner could have been. 7. By the time Rogan finally pulled himself together and spent more time with Bonnie, the idea that Rogan and Raynar didn't want her and didn't care about her had already taken root in her mind. However, neither Rogan nor Rayner have come up with the idea to sit down with Bonnie and talk about everything and explain to her what's going on between the three of them. Even after Bonnie repeatedly brought up the subject and even walked away.
But there are not only bad things to say about this book. I found the story itself really exciting and gripping. I couldn't put the book down once I started reading it. I was thrilled, laughed or cried at many parts. (With Rogan, I mostly wanted to throw my e-reader against the wall, but oh well).
The book also read very nicely and smoothly. Although there were notes (e.g.: [SR1]) scattered throughout the text in two or three places. I guess that was information for the person who proofread the book and simply forgot to remove them.
All in all, my rating varies between 2.5 and 3 stars. Because the book simply didn't meet my expectations.
Wow, I absolutley loved this story, and it really was just a wonderful more than just wow moment. Just when you think you know what's going to happen, the author puts in a beautiful twist that you dont see coming. A twist that sees Rogan not just having one little but another person who is a switch who can be a little and a Dom as well, and you cant do better than that. The characters in this story were so good and I do hope that Everly does more stories for the men in this Mafia. I just love Mafia Daddies, and this Mafia daddy is no exception, however he doesn't like littles crying. So when Rogan and his men find Bonny in the boot of his car he gets annoyed because she is crying. But that is just Bonnie, she is a sensitive soul. And Rogan and his men are all Daddies and his motto is no women gets hurts around him, but that doesn't work out she wasn't surprised to be hurt. So everone will be surprised when they realize who Bonny really is.!!
There are trigger warnings at the start of this book but the torture of Bonnie goes on waaay too long. I really don't think I liked Rogan. His yelling at Bonnie not to cry because crying is weak is just abusive. He even yells at her for crying after she's been kept in the dark, punched, slapped, cut, stabbed and been given no food or water for three days. For being this tough mob type guy he is pretty clueless about what is going in in his house. Rayner and Bonnie's relationship is too rushed and doesn't make sense. I don't think they are good daddies as Bonnie was left alone so many times after being tortured for 3 days! Rogan does come around to realizing crying doesn't make you weak but is it too little too late? I like the author but this story just seemed rushed and not explained well
WOW!! although this book did not have the spice I normally enjoy it had an amazing story about how relationships evolve, grow, adapt and flourish. Also how a person can change for the people they love. Bonnie's brother has arranged a marriage for her but he isn't what is truly looking for so she hides in the back of Rogan's car (her brother's enemy) and that is how this adventure begins!! Everly does an amazing job of bring all her book worlds into her books- as a reader I LOVE when authors let us visit past characters and she always does a good job of setting us up for the next couples' world she is weaving for us!! This book is a Mmf/DD so if that isn't your cup of tea I'd skip this one.
This is the second book in the Ricci Crime Family series. It can’t be read as a standalone but has character crossover from the author’s other series. Bonnie is trying to escape an arranged marriage and ends up hiding in the back of Rogan’s car. He finds her there and this is the rocky beginning of their relationship. I didn’t really like Rogan at first. His major hangup about crying seemed over the top. It does get explained eventually but it still seemed a bit extreme. Raynar is super sweet and is a good balance to Rogan’s brashness. Most of the plot centers around Bonnie getting in bad situations and her Daddies having to rescue her. There is a small amount of punishments and spicy time. Overall it was a good story.
So this is the second book of the The Ricci Crime Family and I must say it's mostly disappointing. It's Rogan's turn to find his little or littles because there are two, one male one female. The male being a switch witch I got excided to read, but ones again the auther those some crucial faults in her book, so much is probably thoughts in her head but the essential part never gets done in paper. You have to be good at reading between the lines to try to understand. What's even more disappointing is that you read ¾ of the book before you get one very small sex scene and that's it! So all in all I would not recommened this book to anyone else, not worth the read, I almost gave up half way in...
I had to go find a copy of this book to read because Book 1 ended so abruptly I was hoping it would give me closure. Alas it did not. At all. What it did was frustrate me all over again because once again there are characters I like in the book but it is written really poorly. There are way too many things unsaid between the characters that they "hear." It's like there is mind reading. I also hated the whole Bonnie being tortured without Rogan knowing it for days. I just do not see that happening. NOR that she would forgive him for it and fall head over heals for him so quickly. It's very odd. But I pushed through, finished it and went on to book 3. C+ for this one because she at least had an ending to it.
Bonnie is a little and Ethan’s sister. Rogan is is head of the Ricci Family family and Ethan’s biggest rival. Ethan is Bonnie’s brother and head of his crime family.
Bonnie ( belongs to the rival crime family) and Rogan and Rayneur are with the Ricci Crime Family).
This was an interesting dynamics of two daddies and two littles). This relationship evolves slowly and develops, so all works out, Bonnies’s Brother Ethan finally accepts their relationship.
I wanted to like this book bc of the snippet I saw in a fb group but I’ve just decided this author isn’t for me. I’ve read a ton of DDLG books and these just aren’t it for me. There’s no plot, nothing makes sense. These men basically ignore the FMC and then they come back around and do a total 180 and demand that they be with them. I sense no chemistry and I was constantly putting my kindle down before trying to pick it back up again ):
I wasn't sure if the Ricci crime family would be as good as the other books, I was pleasantly surprised. Rogan always was so gruff and hard headed and this book shows the caring Daddy that he was. I also includes some of the other men that work for him. I am looking forward to learning more about Bonnie's brother: the notorious Ethan Montgomery.
I’m slowly working my way though some of the series I started awhile ago and never finished. These books are definitely a little monotonous but I still enjoyed them. I will say this book was a little weird and definitely not as enjoyable as the rest have been. I don’t know if i would fully recommend this book as anything outside the series but it was still a decent read.
Absolutely loved this one. Not your typical Mafia romance. So many feels. The complex relationship between Raynor Rogen and Bonnie was top notch and so heartfelt. Can't wait to see what's next. A++
I like age play stories but this one just didn't do it for me. I didn't feel the emotions in the book the way I usually do. It felt like Bonnie was being forced into the relationship. Sigh. Just not my cup of tea.
This was a delightfully enjoyable story. I enjoyed the relationship among Bonnie, Rogan and Ray. They share an intense yet beautiful dynamics. I'm so happy that Ethan does approve of Bonnie's relationship and they get their HEA.
Well, the title doesn't lie. Holly smokes, so many tears... Also, torturing a Little is def a hard limit for me starting from now. There was some weird mafia stuff + a lot of mistrust & miscommunication & a roll your eyes baddie... I did finish it but it was a struggle.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I don’t know how this has such a good review it sucked. The Daddy is abusive and doesn’t have a protecting bone in his body. Crying women is his weakness and he takes it out on the women in his life.
The most perfect dynamic with the most understanding men!!! Rogan was harsh at first but watching his character development become more soft and understanding was so sweet.
Bonnie, Rogan and Ray! Holy Moly!! Legit my favorite book of this year! I absolutely loved their story and can not wait for the rest of the series! I love how it’s twined in with the other book i have read and how you can just read this book so easily!
