“ANYTHING YOU IMAGINE, MY QUEEN, I CAN MAKE TRUE.”
Navier and Heinrey have successfully escaped to the Western Kingdom! But with a new chapter in their lives also come new challenges. Due to their loyalty to the former queen Krista, not all of Heinrey’s people are taking kindly to Navier’s arrival. On top of that, Navier accidentally stumbles upon Heinrey transforming from his bird form―completely naked! While indignation should be filling her heart from the deception, Navier is more flustered than anything else…especially when she can’t stop thinking about how Heinrey looked! Will Navier be able to navigate this unfamiliar minefield of politics and passion, or will everything blow up on her?
Not me kicking my feet giggling. They are so freaking adorable. I’m glad that everything is out in the open. I’m hoping that Navier will grow to really care for Heinrey. I adore him so much. Also, screw the emperor. I’m so sick of him trying to reclaim Navier after treating her like complete trash. I’m definitely looking forward to the next installment in the series!
My goodness, my face is hot and they're not even doing anything but flirt! Whew! ☺
Is Author-nim compensating for the stress and angst of season 1 because this season was unexpectedly funny, sweet, and exciting. King Heinrey and Queen Navier's romance is blooming and they finally have the freedom to spend time with each other. 🥰
I love these developments and the new characters that are possible allies look very promising... especially Miss/Dame Mastas. 😂 She's so adorable I laughed out loud. ❤
Poor Navier - now that she's with Heinrey, she has to realize that her entire life was essentially cloistered, with Soveishu as the de facto key holder. He, meanwhile, is about to reap what he sowed, although he's clearly not going to be a big boy about it. His "I feel guilty" excuse will only get him so far.
On a lighter note, Navier being unable to keep herself from looking at Heinrey's nether regions after accidentally seeing him naked was a hoot - not just because of the humor inherent in the situation, but because it shows Navier starting to become herself, not the perfect empress.
Navier and Heinrey here demonstrating why silly misunderstandings that are quickly resolved with communication can be so much more hilarious than miscommunications that drag for endless chapters.
I'm catching up on this comic via Webtoon. Although it took me a moment to care for the plot, the utterly stunning art held my attention until I was totally ensnared.
I don't think I'll ever get over how stupid Sovieshu's thought process is, especially in this volume when he's over here saying, "I'm going to be PETTY by marrying Rashta and have a wedding FIRST so that Navier will get jealous and come back to me" because, of course, Navier is going to think you still want her after marrying some other woman and come rushing back…
BUT WHAT DO WE KNOW?! *rolls eyes* LOL
Another very very good volume!
It's once again been interesting to rewind and reread this story when I'm caught up on WebToons because I forgot how much Navier doesn't reflect her emotions.
And how much of a golden retriever Heinrey appears to be! LOL!
It has been so wonderful seeing how Heinrey supports and stands by Navier's side, specifically how much he loves and adores her. There is never a moment where we don't see how deeply he cares for her and I look forward to seeing Navier realize how deep his love is. <3 I know it was very satisfying seeing her start to view him differently and be interested in him even if it was mainly physically. LOL!
I also really liked her two new ladies-in-waiting because both of them are so different but so much fun!
Also, that reunion at the end was EVERYTHING! Made me teary-eyed! <3
Very excited to continue reading and seeing these two grow closer together!
I wish there was more of an even romance here between Heinrey and Navier. Mostly, it’s him expressing affection for her and her occasionally thinking he’s cute. She genuinely seems to prefer him as a bird.
Sovieshu continues to be the absolute worst. Everything he does is obsessive and unfair. I know that Heinrry is the character I enjoy the most in this series and that Navier seems to genuinely care about the empire - but I wouldn’t say I’m particularly rooting for anyone. I am rooting against Rashta and Sovieshu though *shrug*.
In Summary Navier has a new husband and new challenges. Most of these challenges spring from the fact that bringing a freshly divorced foreign Empress to become queen of another kingdom is completely unprecedented. It’s an uphill battle made more difficult by the former queen’s presence in the palace and those loyal to her. But Navier makes headway in her new position by recruiting two (very different!) ladies in waiting. And although circumstances aren’t exactly conducive for a carefree honeymoon, an accidental glimpse of Heinrey’s naked body sparks the beginnings of desire in his royal bride.
The Review A new arc begins in the Western Kingdom! But it’s not honeymoon stuff. Navier and Heinrey may be newly married, but until the formal wedding, Navier will not be recognized as queen. Moreover, the freshly divorced foreign Empress has many courtiers regarding her with suspicion. As such, Navier must walk a tightrope of diplomacy and etiquette as she strives to establish her new position and authority in Heinrey’s country.
Unlike the situation with Rashta, there’s no single person vying against Navier. However, her sudden appearance in the Western Kingdom is most keenly felt by the staff of the former queen Krista. Krista herself treats Navier courteously and doesn’t seem to harbor any ill will, but Krista’s ladies-in-waiting are loyal to Krista alone. Between that and the unconventional way Heinrey married Navier, Navier, and the former queen unwillingly find themselves pitted against one another.
Despite all the rumors and skepticism, the resourceful Navier successfully recruits two ladies in waiting. The sharp-witted Rose is the type of competent noblewoman you’d expect Navier to keep as a trusted aide. The spear-wielding, Amazonian Sir Mastas is not. She is the younger sister of Kosair’s escort into the Western Kingdom, Sir Aprin. I thought Aprin was a one-off character, but turns out he and his sibling play a critical – but secret – role for Heinrey. Oblivious to that fact, Navier installs the female knight as her lady-in-waiting for her own reasons. At least in the short term, Mastas is bound to provide comic relief within Navier’s closest circle.
As for her new husband, Navier views their marriage as one of convenience, so she’s not exactly being lovey-dovey with him. Her attitude changes drastically though when she tails the bird Queen in hopes of confirmation of her suspicions that Heinrey is part of the Birdbrain Clan. Well, she gets that confirmation – along with an eyeful of Heinrey’s glorious naked body. Navier’s reserved, but she’s not made out of ice. With that scalding hot image seared into her mind, she gets distracted to the point of causing a misunderstanding with Heinrey. However, once it clears up, Heinrey’s demeanor towards her shifts from cute to seductive, and it’s pretty clear things will be steaming up in this marriage of convenience.
This is standing in for season 2 of the webtoon version which isn’t on GR. This volume covers the first half of season 2 while vol 8 covers the other half. *warning for spoilers of the parts that aren’t in this.
Navier has finally married Heinrey! (No official wedding yet though). He’s so in love with her it had me kicking my feet. She also finally knows he’s Queen! Their interactions are so cute and she’s warming up to him more and more. I can’t wait to see their wedding in season 3. I’m starting to wonder if Krista’s problem is more that she’s in love with Heinrey than that she wants to keep her power as the former queen. Some of the things she’s done are a little suspicious but i might be wrong so I guess we’ll see. I hope grand duke Kaufman doesn’t join her against Navier.
Sovieshu is finally getting what he deserves and suffering for replacing Navier with Rashta. This dude is honestly infuriating, he’s so short sighted and egocentric. Apparently, it didn’t occur to him that Navier might have a problem with him “taking her back” or that she would have an issue with becoming the step mother of a child that would ultimately hate her for being it’s mother’s enemy. He honestly thought his plan to make Navier empress again after a year was foolproof. Rashta too is short sighter and reckless. They truly are a match made in heaven. Navier went out of her way to prepare years of work for Rashta so that the empire didn’t suffer her inexperience in leading and the undoubtedly long adjustment period required for her to be a good empress. What did she do? Exactly what Navier told her not to do and spent millions of dollars that were meant to last years in one evening of her being empress. All she does is cry too. Get a grip.
Another amazing installment. The story moved forward so well—full of emotional moments, satisfying confrontations, and beautiful art. Watching Navier step into her new life is so rewarding. I can’t wait to read the next volume!
LOQUISIMO BRUTAL!
there’s a ton of politics happening, but no character development between Navier and Heinrey. I’m ready for their relationship to develop and deepen more now that she’s in the west and we are 100 chapters in. I don’t see the point of her marriage to Heinrey if it’s going to be the exact same as it was with Sovieshu. We see more happy moments with scum Sovieshu and Trashta more than our lead couple, I need more moments between them 😭
and let me clarify again: Rashta may have a shitty personality but she's NOT the bad guy, she's a woman trying to survive in this forked up class system, the only person that should be blamed is Sovieshit with his ignorant and dumb personality, he's the bad guy and will continue to be so. Rashta is NOT the problem, Sovieshit is. I know the author portrays Rashta as cruel and selfish and honestly? As she should, her relationship with Sovieshit is her only hope of living in this world.
Take relationship tips from Navier and Heinrey everyone, misunderstandings and miscommunications can actually be resolved before resentment brews, and can be solved by just being honest with each other. I love that in a genuine relationship, Navier shows her more vulnerable side. It is such an endearing sight on top of the golden retriever energy we are getting loads of from Heinrey.
Disfruto mucho verlos.
ayyy, meant to review this in the morning and then got distracted like you do. anyways navier and heinrey are very cute and i'm rooting for their happiness in the western kingdom! i also root for rashta to grow a few more brain cells but i'm not very optimistic about that one 😔
