“Please don’t give Mahiru any indecent ideas.”

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten Vol.7
By Saekisan

The summary of this volume can be done in one line that is mentioned above. Anyway, CULTURAL FESTIVAL! Just like every other anime, there's cultural festival in here too! And it was honestly good.

"No matter how close Amane and Mahiru were, without words, they could not really communicate."

Mahiru and Aname's lives are certainly changing. They are getting out of their shell. Aname is getting popular with each passing day, making new friends along the way, becoming more and more confident in himself. While that is happening, Mahiru's anxiety is increasing, seeing others having an interest in her boyfriend. It was funny to read.

The new friend Kido is quite charismatic. And a bit weird and yet not weird type of character. This volume had a greater emphasis on Aname and Mahiru's friends circle, which was quite nice to see and read.

I liked how this volume handled Itsuki's character. I have said this before, but man, that character is great. And a great wingman, too. It was nice seeing a bit of backstory and more attention on him and Chitose. His relationship with his father is certainly contrasting to Aname and his parents. It would be great if the author expanded more on this topic.

I took a bit of a break in the latter half of the book so i dont exactly remember the beggining well but nevertheless i really enjoyed it. The cultural festival was really nice and mahiru in a maid outfit was of course very cute. I also quite liked how people actually started to appreciate and recognize Amane more. Also i enjoyed the feelings of jealousy and how clearly they cominicated it at the end of the volume. Their comunication is great they just talks things out. And the last line? A step foward in their relationship which is great to see. Finally they are not embarrassed about Mahiru sleeping in Amanes dorm.

Honestly I cannot get enough of this wholesome slice of life/romance light novel. The story continues to meet and at times exceed my expectations. In the volume the story focuses on the cultural festival with some included shenanigans. Chitose and Itsuki have a back story which is focused on heavily through out this volume. I am not sure how many volumes are left but after this volume its easy to see the author can conclude the story in the next volume or 2.
