A typical Hyatt/DuQuette book, not something that is bad nor something that really jumps in your face good. The main focus is definitely on the sex issue and sex magic. In the first part there is plenty of personal experiences and clinical stuff along with history. The second part of the book has alot of stuff pulled from Crowley and Regardie. Irregardless they always give one something to think about and that is why I like reading Hyatt and DuQuette's works.

Where religion, magic and sex intersect. Whole books could be dedicated to things that in some cases were covered in brief summaries of three or four pages in this. I was more interested in religious sexual rites in pre Christian Europe and by Hindus than what the majority of this book is which is about and excerpts of the writings of celebrity occultists like Crowley but for what this book is it's worth reading.
