💜 YA romance 💜 high school seniors 💜 supportive friends 💜 hard choices
Bethany is a senior in high school and has been dating Trevor for a year. But things haven’t been what they once were. Trevor has changed. His fuse is shorter and he often get jealous for no reason. One of the few bright spots is a friend she made online through a study website. It started out as a study partner, but lead to friendship. Will her relationship with Trevor get better? Will her friendship with her online friend continue? Will she be able to tell anyone everything that is happening?
This was such a good description of thoughts that can occur during not only teenage years but anytime a person is in the type of relationship she was in. I am glad that there is a lot of growth shown and support given when asking for it. This was a really good young adult novel.
Alrighty then talk about stress! This book had me in my toes wondering what would happen to our FMC by the douche canoe. I loved all the learning and growth she made that resulted in a bittersweet ending. I was definitely taking in a rollercoaster but definitely enjoyed it and was happy with the progression. RK this was a crazy story and I’m so glad you are in a much better place and hoping this book helped you as much as it helped the FMC.
I had so many emotions reading this book. Trevor is a disgusting human and Bethany is the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet. Rori does a great job describing their toxic relationship and you can just feel all of Bethany’s hurt while reading. I enjoyed watching the friendship between Kevin and Beth grow into so much more. This book was great, but remember to check the triggers as you will definitely feel a rollercoaster of emotions.
Please check CW and TW before reading. Good story to help project me back to my younger self times and how we had so many emotions that we were learning to navigate through. Definitely a book I would recommend to young adult audiences that may be struggling through new ventures in life.
This book sheds light on the journey of a high school girl navigating a challenging relationship but ultimately finding strength to break free and move forward. It's a compelling exploration of resilience and self-discovery.
