Rate this book
In the name of love, a war threatening to obliterate the Elemental Realms has been unleashed. A year after Belynda's demise, Drake fights alongside Upherya's warriors against the Army of Darkness, forging alliances while waiting for Callix, who vanished with Drake's beloved beneath Varenver's sea after promising to save her.

Meanwhile, Belynda confronts the Moirai—the three goddesses of the past, present, and future—and unveils their plan, one she despises yet must endure to save the Realms.

Under the impenetrable Realm of Serfier, surrounded by Callix’s icy fortress, she grapples with immortality's trials and wrestles the storm of the Water Lord's chaos. He guards his heart like he protects his kingdom, yet soon, the tides will turn.

Together, their lives will be tangled in the threads of fighting a war, battling the heart, and torn between honor, desire, and destiny.

***Spoilers Below***

I recently had the pleasure of reading Morgan Vela's latest fantasy romance as my first ever ARC. Thank you Morgan for sharing your wonderful world with me!

The world-building across Serfier, Upherya, and Abyras showcases Morgan's writing prowess with this installment standing out as her best yet.

To rescue Belynda, Drake reluctantly allows Callix to transport her to his realm, Serfier. Amidst its healing waters, Belynda undergoes a transformative journey to fulfill her destiny. Their time in Serfier becomes an intimate bubble, fostering the flourishing connection between Callix and Belynda. Callix's character, a blend of mischief, vulnerability, strength, and love, inevitably draws you in. The revelation of Callix's true form adds a layer of intrigue as he can stand toe-to-toe with our beloved dragon.

Amidst the ongoing war between realms, Drake proves to be a great leader, destined to become a remarkable King. While Drake's passion is evident, the complexity of his relationship with Belynda introduces a layer of tension. His past traumas manifest in possessiveness and the overprotectiveness of Belynda. It is understandable, given his history, but I look forward to seeing his growth as the series continues.

The dynamics between Drake, Belynda, and Callix create a captivating tension. The intimate moments post-reunion between Belynda and Drake left me conflicted, questioning where her loyalty should lie. To Callix or to Drake? Callix's unconditional love, even offering to share her just so he can have her, showcases a depth of character that is truly endearing. The possibility of a future Throuple? Yes please.

The blossoming relationships of other couples, like Euros and Amirth, provide a refreshing break from the war's seriousness. Meeting the Elven King and Queen, Herod and Leiwen, is a highlight. Queen Leiwen's kindness and keen observation, which she uses to call Belynda out on her feelings for both men, adds a layer of wisdom, humor, and friendship. The Clans of Upherya, who are reminiscent of Scottish Highland Warriors, brought lively banter, impressive fighting skills, and a solidarity in arms.

The overall storyline, with its slow burn, completely immersed me in this fantasy realm, leaving me eagerly anticipating more from this enchanting series.

Great series so far. The character development is excellent with plenty of tension. Loving the side characters also and the spice is just right. Can’t wait for the final book in the series which promises to be an epic read.

Ugh! The Rollercoaster ride of emotions and tension is real! I've never cheered so hard for an fmc to choose both, a mmc to remain chaste for the fmc, and for an mmc to extricate his head from his sphincter. So good!

Vanished: Tides of Destiny

I didn't think this series could get any better, but once again Morgan upped the stakes! The story was a rollacoaster, giving ups, downs and corkscrews! It will keep you hocked and on the edge of your seat throughout!

Vanished: Tides of Destiny continues along Belynda's journey and her building knowledge, relationships, emotions and tension, all adding to the story and forever pulling at the heart strings. Her character development escalates, in addition to giving us more details about Callix and of course Drake. (its juicy 😉) We also get a fantastic group of side characters that will definitely make you giggle and leave you wanting more.

Its safe to say that I am hooked and will most definitely jump head first into the fourth and final book of the series. I cannot wait to see what happens and I hope that Belynda gets her happy ending.

Vanished: Tides of Destiny by Morgan Vela is book three in the Vanished Series. I’m going to start this review off by saying I’m such a huge fan of this author and series. To say I was was excited to read this book would be an understatement; I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this. Once I started I lost hours in this book, I couldn’t stop reading. This was incredible! This is Romantasy at its best. Morgan Vela once again does a masterful job with worldbuilding and descriptions of different places and people. The journey my emotions went on with this book! It makes you feel as if you are part of this world! Gosh am I still head over heels for these characters… Belynda, Drake and Callix will always hold a special place in my heart. The tension between Drake and Belynda was palpable… I could feel it through the pages. Then oh my Callix! His development… his true form!!! His love really shines through. (Drake is still my guy but darn is Callix giving him a run for his money) This was everything I could have wanted in this book, I honestly can’t say enough about how wonderful it was. Needless to say this is not a standalone and you do need to read these books in order. I can’t wait for the story to continue but like I said I’ve been hooked since book one. If you’re not reading this series, you need to start; Morgan Vela is hands down a fabulous author. This is my favorite read of 2024.

“I’m trying to fight this madness— this consuming desire to have you.”

The third book in The Vanished series completely took my breath away—literally. I wanted to write something epic to capture how much I loved it, but seriously, how dare Morgan Vela pack even more suspense into her books? The nerve! It left me teetering on the edge of my seat, devouring every word in a single sitting. The audacity!

Jokes aside, this book was phenomenal.

The second book left us hanging on such a dramatic cliffhanger, and this installment picks up without missing a beat. The dynamic between Belynda and Callix is nothing short of perfection—pure magic. The tension between them is so palpable, so electrifying, that I swear even people back on Earth could feel it through the pages. A true chef’s kiss to Morgan Vela’s talent.

And now, the war has finally arrived. Time is running out, and the stakes have never been higher. Each page pulls you deeper, leaving you desperate to know what happens next. Forget sleep, forget breathing—this book demands your full attention.

The writing is so immersive, so masterfully executed, that you don’t just read about Serfier—you are there. You stand beside Drake in Upherya. You’re right there, heart pounding, as the drama unfolds. How can you fight armies infected with darkness? And honestly? You’ll never want to leave.

Tides of Destiny is an amazing edition to the Vanished series and it is absolutely my favorite book by far! The world building is immersive yet not overwhelming. I loved the character building, relationships, and new alliances that were made. This book picks up where Drake the Dragon Prince of Fire is devastated that Belynda has been left in the hands of the Water Lord Callix. Belynda learns about her true purpose in life and her destiny from the goddesses and the Moirai but is forewarned that things can change and nothing is set in stone. The Water Lord is tasked with preparing and training Belynda for the war above water and must work to keep his icy heart guarded. This was a beautifully written story about love, loss, alliances in the time of war, and unavoidable destiny! The ending left me shocked and speechless! I am really looking forward to the next book in this series!

I am in shock! I wish you could do half stars because I want to give this a 4.5. First let me say I have read very few series where the additional books are better than the original but this is definitely one of those. I am impressed with how much character growth and world building we have continued to do here. The only reason I wouldn’t give this 5 stars is because we ended in an extremely important scene! Which absolutely did its job on making me NEED the next book immediately! I highly recommend this series!

I have absolutely now free time to read any books right now, but I made time for Morgan Vela!!! I had alexa reading the books when I was at work, reading on my kindle on lunch and in the car, before bed. Any free time I gave to read book 1 and 2. Then when I got the ARC for book 3 I was glued. I love the world the people. I just can't get enough. I don't usually fall for two characters but Drake and Callix have my heart!! Just read the books!!! I love them and they aren't super long like other books. Easy fun read!!!

4.75⭐️This series is awesome! 🤌🤍 Each book is better than the last—the world-building and character development just keep getting better, and they all connect. She's a fantastic author. Drake and Belynda's relationship is so intense, that you can feel the tension. They'd both do anything to keep the other safe. I always loved that about them. And Callix's character development in this book? He's growing on me.😳🥴🖤

Thanks to Beth from Wings & words & Morgan Vela for this book.

This is an exposure review for this series overall!!

Tides of destiny is book 3 in the series, and I got to admit. My favourite one so far.
The characters development is done amazingly in this book, especially with Belynda's growth, in this one you 100% see her grow more as a perspn. The triangle of Belynda, Callix & Drake. Ive been a Drake fan from book 1, but now I have to admit. Im kinda on the fence!!

There is an amazing amount of side characters too that just adds to the story and world building. As always Morgan knows how to pull at our heartstrings with her writing.

Overall, I recommend reading this whole series.

Ugh SO GOOD! The tension in this book is so STRONG!! My heart hurts for Callix so much through out this book! Also love that our girl Belynda becomes more of a baddie in this book. Also the side characters?! Love and often find myself wanting to read more about them. The spice is perfect in this book, but I have a great feeling that the next will be even BETTER and all that we have been waiting for.

Book three in this series delivers. This entire series has been EPIC from chapter one until the end of book 3. I can’t get enough of the Water Lord and the Fire Prince. How is a girl to choose? I don’t want to give anything away because this book is so full of suspense and twists. You just need to get it. I can’t wait for book 4.

To be able to describe this book would literally take every word known to man. It's beautiful, chaotic, descriptive, and majestic to just name a few.

The characters stories are so well rounded and even the ones who aren't truly main characters have a place. The way the story enveloped me and took me on an emotional rollercoaster, was the way a book like this should be.

This book was so hard to put down, so I will be re-reading it again!!!

Hello Callix lol well, you grow a whole new appreciation for this character. Y’all better get ready for an emotional adventure!

As an ARC reader for Morgan Vela's "Vanished: Tides of Destiny," I was instantly captivated. From the moment I finished the first book in this series, I knew I was a fan for life, eagerly awaiting each new installment.

In this third book, Vela surpasses herself, masterfully blending magical realms, intense emotions, and beautiful character development. The story, centered Belynda, is a thrilling ride through love, destiny, and the trials of this magical world. Vela’s ability to create vivid characters and a world that is both fantastical and relatable is remarkable.

Each character, from the leads to the side characters, is intricately developed, making you invest in their journeys. The narrative is not just about epic fantasy and adventure; it delves deep into personal struggles, romance, choices, and sacrifices, making it a profoundly touching read.

"Vanished: Tides of Destiny" is a testament to Vela's exceptional storytelling. It’s a book that grips you from the first page and doesn’t let go, making it a must-read for any fantasy enthusiast.

Let me just say I first read Vanished book 1 when Morgan was looking for readers for her debut novel and I was looking for indie authors with exciting new books. It was so clear to me that this story was going to be big and that Morgan, baby author or not, had so much potential to be a huge contender. When book 2 came out I was like, YES!!! You go girl! There wasn’t much if anything to critique. The plot became this incredible intricate work of art and her characters were incredible. She is a true storyteller. Now I’m happy to say that book 3 is even better. She has easily become one of my favorite authors. and folks, this is her THIRD book! She deserves so much recognition for not only this amazing series, but recognition for all her effort, hard work and incredible growth. Please do me a favor and go read this series. You will not be disappointed. She is so tragically underrated. Let’s see her accomplish everything she deserves. Morgan, you completely wrecked me with this book. The summer cannot get here soon enough! Someone please give this woman a round of applause and 20/5 stars!!!

This book left me speechless! It’s the third book in the series and to be honest the series it’s absolute perfection. These books are so well written and the characters really come to life. I’m obsessed with Drake and Callix. I don’t even have a favorite I love them both equally, which is not like me at all but how do you chose between the dragon shifting Prince of Fire and the Lord of Water? I loved the way this book brought you closer with the other realms and the characters of those realms. I’m adore the differences in each realm and how they are ruled by the different elements. The magic is amazing as well. I may have to do a series reread because I just can’t get enough.

I received this book as an ARC from Morgan Vela and Wings and Words.
This review is my own I have not received payment for my opinion.

This is book 3 of the Vanished series and boy does it hit harder.

The main female character is growing before our eyes. From the young 18 year old human who found a dragon in the back garden to the powerful bloodbath with fate and destiny to mold to her will.
How will her fate decide that of others? Will she succumb to the gorgeous sea god or go back to her brooding dragon king?

This is a much gritter, intense book with political and magical elements that just make you want to read more and more.

Morgan has yet again hit a home run with this and I for one will be looking forward to the next instalment.

Review of Advance Reader Copy Gifted By The Author.

Tides of Destiny really feels like the point where the series hits its stride. The story expands in a way that tugs at my heart and has me questioning who i like more. There’s a strong sense that everything that’s happened up to now is leading to a big end, and I liked how past choices start to ripple forward here.

The character development was a highlight for me. Watching everyone continue to evolve, especially when faced with tougher, more personal challenges. The tension stays high throughout, and while there were a few sections that felt a bit drawn out, the payoff was worth it.

Overall, this was a gripping third installment that deepens the story without losing what made the series enjoyable in the first place. It definitely kept me invested and eager to see where the series goes next and has me secretly hopping for a why choose.

Absolutely loved this book. The story development between Belynda, Drake and Callix is great and I can't wait to see what is instore for the next book. This is a great Fantasy/ Romance series that with each book gets better and better. I can't choose if Callix or Drake is my favorite for Belynda and for the series... they need to be boyfriend in laws.

You learn so much more about Callix in this book which I was very excited for. I felt like book 1 was learning and getting to know Belynda, Book 2 was getting to know Drake and this one was getting to know Callix. With each book you start to love the different characters more and more.
