It's always the season of hope and romance in Eternity Springs, a special town where lost souls and lonely hearts find an angel's touch. Now New York Times bestselling author Emily March has written a wonderful eBook original novella, in which Christmas brings a family reunion and a family wedding.

Newly engaged to her college sweetheart, Molly Stapleton has one wish for her holiday wedding: get her estranged parents back together. Three years ago, a family tragedy drove Emma Stapleton away from her husband, Jared, and their sprawling Texas ranch. Time, false pride, and unhealed hurts have only widened the divide. But Molly, with the help of some very special people in Eternity Springs, has a plan. As Emma and Jared arrive in this magical town to share Molly's happiness, they meet face-to-face, heart to heart. Will they accept this last chance to renew their promises of love - and cherish the gift from the daughter who loves them both?

This is the story of Lori's roommate, whose parents have been leading separate lives for about 4 years, ever since her uncle committed suicide, her mother tours and father works on the ranch not talking to each other and now that she is getting married she wants it to end, be it a reconciliation or divorce.

Honestly, for parents of a 23 year old these two were immature, they loved each other and had been faithful to each other but had too much of pride to talk. The heroine's brother had stolen from the hero and she had hidden it from him, while she was grieving for him, the hero couldn't so she went away to give them space and somehow it became years, no-one willing to bridge the distance.

This was a short, decent read.

“The human heart is a curious thing…How could it be so overflowing with joy and so consumed with misery at the same time?”
Molly Stapleton is excited for a Christmas season wedding to the man she loves, but is deeply saddened that her parents have not spoken to each other in three years.

This was a nice second chance holiday romance of a concert pianist and her rancher husband, who receive a little push getting back on track with a little "intervention" from some "angels" of Eternity Springs and some mistletoe. It was lovely to revisit the magical Eternity Springs during the Christmas season.

I'm excited for Sarah Reese's book, Lover's Leap (which will also be a second chance romance)! There's an excerpt at the end of this novella.

Thank You to my dear friend KatLynne for letting me know about this Kindle Edition novella being available on Amazon for $0.99. ^_^

I had a hard time with this at first. The story opens with a grown woman being asked to marry the man she loves and she starts crying and being all upset because her parents WHO SEPERATED 4 YEARS AGO are still apart. WTF?!?! If this girl was 10 years old I could see it. But seriously?!

So you have to get over that pretty big chunk of crap to like this story. And I did. The romance and the hint of mysticism (Not sure if Mrs. Blessing was supposed to be an angel of Mrs. Clause?) were pretty charming. And when I finished the story I had one of those "Oh, it's over!" moments.

Since this isn't the first Eternity Springs stories I think I might just have to go back and look for the start of this series and give it a go.

Talk about a family Christmas run amuck! And a fantastically emotional yet comical story to boot! I love the way that March mixes tear-jerking moments with laugh inducing ones, keeping my emotions on edge. The down to earth characters were a lot of fun, if a little misguided at times. March definitely showed the women of Eternity Springs as they truly are, however. This cast of characters was not only captivating & fetching but also extremely fun to hang out with for this short while.

March is one of the rare few authors who can make me laugh and cry at the same time. This story was short & sweet but definitely proved that time and time again.

I seem to be turning into an overly sentimental softie as I age. Emily March's Mistletoe Mine is the kind of unabashedly sweet-souled, achingly earnest story that I might have rolled my subtlety-loving eyes at as recently as a few years ago. Now, though, I'm at a stage where I more frequently seek out the pure, uplifting joy that this sort of story can provide---and "Mistletoe Mine" provided it in spades!

The plot revolves around estranged couple Emma and Jared Stapleton, reluctantly reuniting in the redemption-oriented town of Eternity Springs to celebrate their daughter Molly's betrothal. You might initially struggle with the idea that this young woman is still so profoundly devastated over her parents' separation, which occurred a full three years before the story begins. Now, before you think I sound callous, I should mention that my own parents have been divorced for well over a decade, and I understand all too well that the pain never fully fades. But when Molly burst into tears upon getting engaged because she "couldn't tell her parents the news", I immediately assumed it was because the poor girl's parents were...well, dead. When we learn in the next sentence that they're merely separated, with Molly moping about having to (gasp!) make two separate phone calls to inform them of the engagement and still sniffling her way through the next few scenes, I couldn't help but think "Wait, that's it? Get some perspective and count your blessings!"

Once you can get past that premise, though, a genuinely heartwarming tale awaits. The cozy, charming town and the unfailingly generous people who inhabit it may be too idyllic to strike many readers as realistic, but that's part of the point---this is the kind of story you read in order to escape to a better, 'if only I lived there...' place, not because it accurately reflects our reality.

I'd initially given Mistletoe Mine four stars, but reluctantly lowered it to three due to the writing style. The writing isn't poor, but it isn't exactly razor sharp, either. Many of the sentences have a clunky, oddly stilted feel. I also felt the author did a substandard job of defining and differentiating her characters. Granted, this isn't a full-length novel, so there are limits to how richly the characterizations and themes can be explored. That's no excuse for giving so many characters the exact same personality...or, more accurately, no semblance of personality at all! The majority of the characters speak, think and behave in nearly identical ways, which is a major pet peeve of mine. (Note: After reading a couple of her full-length novels, I found this a recurring and, for me, fairly serious problem.)

Despite these complaints about the writing style and characterizations, (or, er, lack thereof), Mistletoe Mine is a spirit-lifting, hopeful read with just enough humor to mitigate the sentimentality. The real world is full of broken dreams and unhappy endings---it's comforting to see that some books still offer us readers an unshakable, life-affirming optimism and faith in the happily ever after!

#3.5 in the Eternity Springs romance/chick-lit series

This book is in the timeframe when I was not a huge fan of Eternity Springs, so I'm not surprised that it rubbed me the wrong way. Molly is a friend of Lori Reese, getting married, and planning her destination wedding at Eternity Springs. But instead of being happy about the plans and the excitement of her own wedding, she's constantly crying and complaining because her parents split up years ago. I'd be pretty annoyed if I were her fiancé since all she does is whine about how sad it is that her parents try to avoid each other all the time. In any case, she convinces her parents to come early for a pre-wedding family Christmas celebration, obviously hoping to create some love magic. and, of course, Celeste (and the women of the town) have to get involved, arranging for an accidentally-on-purpose situation between her parents so they can re-discover their love for each other. It all turns out wonderfully, everyone is happy. But it all felt manufactured to me, and I didn't like the manipulation from everyone involved.

Eternity Springs is a little slice of heaven in Colorado and the way author Emily March describes it, it is so comfortable, so homey, so familiar you could swear you have actually been there, that this is a real place, these are real people and this story is a Christmas newsletter or something. Aaaah, it’s wonderful. Just a chapter or so into the audiobook I was listening to and I was right back there again, at Angel’s Rest, with magical Celeste Blessing and all the other familiar faces.

Molly Stapleton is going to be marrying her college sweetheart soon. They are a perfect couple and she knows they will be very happy. There is one thing, though, that has put a tight band of sadness around her heart: her parents separated after a family tragedy a few years ago and it doesn’t look like anything will bring them back together. Pride, misunderstandings, accusations. Molly’s mother Emma is a concert pianist and has been on non-stop tour. Her father Jared just stays at their ranch and broods. In some part of her brain Molly probably knows that sometimes things just happen, people split up, people don’t get back together; she knows she is an adult about to be married herself and should just accept it. But emotionally she is a 10-year-old where they is concerned. She wants her family back again.

Can the magic of Eternity Springs bring Emma and Jared back together? They both love Molly dearly and are excited about her marriage and neither would behave in a way to spoil Molly’s special day. But can they let their barriers down enough to let go of the past, to see things as they might be in the future? A sweet, romantic story infused with emotion and humor and a large helping of favorite people we’ve come to know and love.

Thanks to the author for giving me an audiobook copy of Mistletoe Mine. The narration and pacing were perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend it and the entire series without hesitation. I voluntarily leave this review; all opinions are my own.

Mistletoe Mine by Emily March is a 2023 publication. (Originally published in 2011)

I missed this one when it was originally published in 2011. It’s been repackaged, if you will, with a new cover and an updated excerpt at the end of the story. But, regardless, it’s a new story for me, and I’m glad I was made aware of it.

It’s been a long time since I landed my feet in Eternity Springs, and it was nice to revisit that world for a short time. This story is, as are most holiday themed novellas, short and sweet. There is depth to the story as well as some Christmas scenery to capture the romance of the season as well as the magic.

Overall, a quick, enjoyable story everyone can enjoy- at any time of the year!

Short, quick e-book that told the story of Molly Stapleton and Charle Malone’s love.

They decide to have Christmas and their wedding in Eternity Springs and Molly plans to have her mom and dad there because they have not been together forever several years even though they are still married. She wants them to talk it out and decide what to do - either get a divorce and get on with their lives or stay married! But enough of this no talking!! She decides to enlist the help of her best friend, Lori Reese, who has a great idea!

Read on to see what happens next...

Delightful!

A story of loss, hope, pride, second chances, new beginnings and a HEA. Molly’s parents haven’t spoken to each other in years and she’s concerned that it might cause a lot of tension at her upcoming wedding. With help from a few friends, a plan is hatched to throw her parents together to, hopefully, finally talk to one another and let their true feelings be known. Will the outcome be happy or sad? Only a couple of hours and a lot of mistletoe will tell.

Another winner from Emily March. I absolutely love this series. Although this is a holiday book, it isn't totally full of the Christmas cheer so it can be enjoyed any time of the year. A couple on the verge of divorce are forced to spend time together right before their only daughter's wedding. No spoilers so that's all I am going to say. :-)

A sweet Christmas story set in Eternity Springs, Molly is newly engaged and her one wish for her Christmas wedding is to get her estranged parents back together after a family tragedy. With the help of Celeste and this magical town will her parents find the renewed love for each other? I listened via audible, loved the narrator. Great voice that kept me listening. The perfect afternoon read.

Glad this was a novella, it would have been torture to read a full length book. Some sappyness, some family drama, and a winter wedding, did Hallmark come up with the plot line?

Sometimes I can handle this type of book, this one was just too slow and boring, but I did get a Christmas theme book red, trying to challenge myself to read a few this month, next one will hopefully be better.

A delightful novella from Emily March regarding Eternity Springs and the group of lovely people from the town with the two main characters. As always Emily March makes her stories lighthearted and very joyous to be able to celebrate the kindness and rewards of others that are willing to help others find their way.
