Known for his wit and insight, he contributed to Christianity Today, Reader’s Digest, and Family Circle while also authoring 17 books.
Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Kelly initially pursued a degree in forest technology before moving to Canada, where he worked at a boarding school in Manitoba. Upon returning to the United States, he settled in Everett, Washington, with his family. In addition to his writing career, he was a dedicated elder at Westminster Presbyterian Church for four decades and a sought-after speaker at writing conferences.
