Scarlett’s torn because she knows Drake being married won’t keep them apart. Forced to do the right thing, she risks Drake’s sanity by trying to leave him. Again.

My whole body swims with euphoric bliss. The wrongness and rightness of Drake’s dick grinding against my cervix is transcending.
Yet, I can't drown in it as I'm able to do when we make love. When Drake fucks me, he takes everything. He fucks my body, mind, soul. He leaves me drained and defeated. The only way I can take it over and over again is because he always meets me half way.
When we make love and he is so intensely deep inside my pussy that I can’t breathe, our souls connect. I feel all my fears, insecurities, and weaknesses melt away from me. It's almost as if he frees me from the demons that still find their way to torment me despite years of intense therapy.
Drake heals and replenishes me every time we fuck. It's always been that way. I've never accepted it so matter-of-factly before, and that's because he has always met he halfway.
Today, he isn’t.
He is refusing to.

Thank you for your patience, and thank you for continuing to follow Drake, Scarlett, and Nicole’s story.
I think I’ll add, trippy reads, to the end of the title of this series :) because of the erratic story telling.
This series is not going to cover the conventional romance arc so buckle up for the ride.
A few lines of caution to throw out Both characters in this book are victims of serious psychological abuse.
The love portrayed in this book is dark and disturbing, and this book can be seen as a sort of diary from both protagonists.
The only way they know how to communicate is during sex, and that’s all they know.

What a freakin' HOT MELL OF A HESS. So he married her sister just to be cruel? Who in the hell does that? So he doesn't really love Nicole, which we know already - he was just punishing Scarlet for leaving him? HOLY HELL IN A BUCKET. Drake is a total idiot. A hot one but still an idiot. Does he ever think of something called CONSEQUENCES?

Why don't these two people just screw each other to death and combust and die? In Drake's sick, demented mind he doesn't believe Scarlet loves him anyway so what the hell? WHAT THE HELL! He thinks that she's deliberately cruel to him, hates him and he's all by himself in his messed up feelings for her and she's just using his body and that's it, that he's her slave. He actually doesn't love Scarlet. He HATES her. How many times did he call her a bitch?

There's so much hatred lying underneath it's chilling.

Why doesn't he just let her go then? Why hang on to a woman who YOU believe doesn't love you? Obsession - pure and simple. I could see him killing her and then himself.

This was a short read on my Nook (60 pages) but goodness gracious did it ever pack a punch!

And Nicole - innocent, stupid, hopeful, devoted, simplistic, ignorant Nicole. She has to know this has nothing to do with her. She's just a pawn in this chess game of hate/love/hate. Drake would kill himself before he even THINKS he loves Nicole but does she know that? Now he must entangle himself from this mess. A HORRIBLE MESS he's done to himself. Serves him right.

Would it be too much for these two people to just end up together? Probably. Like I said, they'd end up combusting unless they both went and got psychological help for YEARS and then if they did they may realize they don't even like each other.

I'm wondering what kind of psychological abuse Drake went through.

February - is it here yet? The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it was a bit too short.

Bravo, Ms. De Jour!
