„Grausamer Thron" ist Band 2 der Dilogie „Brutale Rache", in dem es um einen dunklen, gefolterten Antihelden und das mutige Objekt seiner Begierde geht. Es ist eine düstere Mafia-Romanze und enthält deshalb Themen, die manche Leser als verstörend empfinden könnten. Bitte lesen Sie mit Vorsicht.
“Why are you so angry, Princess? I fucked up, and I’m trying to make it up to you.” After what he's done he seriously needs to sit back down 😖
The second book carries on straight from the first where Nikolai takes Molly and shoots max. He takes out her tracker which Kiril had put in her and she freaked because she had no idea because like I said the man’s a psychopath. Nikolai takes molly to his mothers house where his father had tied up his mother up kept her there until he was born and the killed her because he had no use for which was so upsetting to see. The way Nikolai was described as unhinged it turned out he had control it was just a façade he kept up He was so caring towards molly and told her about how Kiril had killed her father the fact that she couldn’t stop throwing up was because Kiril got her pregnant he showed her the report where Kiril knew her IUD wasn’t working and he kept it from her . That seemed to have fazed molly out because she found out that Kiril had secretly been trying to knock her up so she’d be bound to him forever the weirdo. When Kiril came to ‘save her’ Nikolai gave molly money and told her run as he saw his mother in her and didn’t want any other women to go through what his mum went through 🥺😭.
Kiril obviously couldn’t keep himself away from after 2 months he managed to track down molly. AM I SURPRISED ? NO Molly did try to put up a fight but after she saw Kiril get shot trying to protect her she gave in and told him she still loved him.
“I wanted her pregnant and tied to me forever. Even more, I wanted a family with her and children who looked like her. A tiny part of goodness in the black world I lived in. I was a selfish bastard, but that wasn’t news to me. ” is he FOR REAL
“Do you want my child, Molly? Have I really trapped you this time?” - took his sweet time to realise why are you even questioning it when you KNOW the answer 😭
This was definitely better than the first book because we had some character development but for me I just couldn’t get pass what Kirill had done he’d literally:
1. drugged her so that he could creep around her house when she slept 2. Put a tracker in her arm when she was unconscious 3. Worst of all he knew her IUD wasn’t working and kept it from her so he could get her pregnant and she’d be bound to him forever You see my problem. But Atleast in this book he understood he was in the wrong and apologised but still refused to let her go if your sorry youd say im not good enough just go but no kiril could never😭😂
“I missed him with every breath. His presence was all around me, and he was the first thought in my head”
“Was I about to marry the man who had abducted me, not once, but twice, knocked me up, chipped and drugged me?” - and she still got back with him and here I thought I was DELUSIONAL😂😭
Molly pissed me off more than Kiril .The guy literally sneakily got you pregnant so you’d be stuck with him and your sat there thinking I miss him like grow tf up whats there to miss. 😤
“I don’t want to see you end up like her, Princess. I’ll do my part to stop it, but you have to do the rest.”
“Here, it’s my mother’s recipe,” Nikolai said later, placing a plate of huge, soft Russian pancakes before me. My hands were bound behind my back again, and the pancakes were cut into tiny pieces." he cut it up for her now thats WHAT WE WANTED and instead we got a deranged psychopath 😭
If I loved anything I loved Nikolai he was funny and caring towards Molly he could have killed her but he took care of her. I loved every scene he was part of the fact that he was supposed to be the psychopath hurts my head when it is CLEARLY Kiril and Molly .
The reason why I even read the second book was because I can’t leave a series mid way if I could hell no I wouldn’t read this crap. Yes the second boook is wayyyyy better but it’s not good .
Nikolai does have his own story as much as I love him I’m not going to read it because I can imagine the author messing that up for me 😤
This book started immediately from book one with Molly being kidnapped by Kirill’s brother, Nikolai and Nikolai telling Molly the deceptive ways Kirill tried to keep her. Of course, he had his reasons given their history. Molly decide to leave him — again! I hate unnecessary separation, particularly for weak reasons. So predictable. Good start with the first book. I loved Kirill, from his sweet boyish ways to the hardened man he was forced to be. Devoted, indulgent hero, with a breeding kink. He adored Molly. What’s not to love and forgive, especially after their seven-year separation? Confident but annoying heroine, sassy at times, but no way would a woman leave a man like that. Kirill was the touch her and die hero you dream of, and with their past history, “weird boy” as Molly affectionately called this Bratva underboss, so endearing.
This story runs at a moderate pace and in dual povs, lots of Bratva action but a bit less spicy than book one as they balance their roles: she, his queen rather than captive, and he, making amends but still the boss. There were times where the sweet boy Kirill Lewis made an appearance, too, but mostly Kirill is the darker, made man he’s become.
Side character, Nikolai, Kirill’s brother makes regular appearances as the groundwork for the next book in pit into play.
Overall, I skipped a couple of the flashbacks and skimmed the running away, the latter of which really brought the storyline down. If not for the heroine’s snark and running away, this would have been a higher-rated read.
Honestly would have dnfed but my aunt was forcing me to read this in the first place lmao. This was worse than the first one imo. Very repetitive and WAY too much sex. There was a sex scene in like every chapter and it got super annoying. More sex than plot. More sex than any meaningful conversation too. So much of it could have been cut out and it could have been a standalone rather than a duet.
Absolutely loved the ending to this duet. The growth and change in the characters was beautifully done. The plot throughout the two books was executed perfectly, the loyalty and trust that changed between characters, you never knew if you should actually trust them or not. Always second guessing who was on their side or not. I was happy that it wasn’t too predictable.
»Being mine overrules everything else, and no matter where you go or how well you hide, no matter how you try to deny it, we both know the truth. We have always belonged together, Mallory, and no power in this world can change that.«

❥ 𝑴𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒚 This girl was so horny and she needs to grew a backbone!
❥ 𝑲𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒍𝒍 Didn‘t like him in this book. He is toxic and full of double standards.
✥ 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌 This book was just okay. Okay storyline. Okay characters. Okay writing style. Again: I don‘t understand why this story was divided into a duet. Unnecessary. The whole plot would have easily fit in one book. There are a lot of unnecessary long descriptions and everything just repeats itself. There is nothing new or thrilling compared to the first book. Mallory and Kirill are toxic as fuck! He just goes over everything she wants and his double standards annoyed me. They have great tension but very very toxic!! It was entertaining but nothing special. To be honest I hoped for more. The idea has a lot of potential but the implementation was just okay. Well I‘m intrigued in Nikolais and Sofias story and I hope this will be more thrilling.
𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐈 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤? Maybe, if you read the first book to know what happens between Kirill and Molly.
𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐬 possessive and protective hero, mafia, instant attraction, lies and secrets, forced proximity, he falls first and harder, morally dark hero, darkromance, kidnapping, captor x captive, shared past, second chance, forced marriage, secret pregnancy
𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 ages: Mallory (25) and Kirill (26) cheating: no sharing: no kinks: breeding
Molly is pregnant and it take Kirill ⅔ of the book to find out. I wish there was more of Nikolai. It's hard to hate him. I love seeing the sweeter yet still Dark Kirill.
📖He didn’t know how little I had to lose without Mallory. I was the lethal weapon in this situation, depending on how she was. Nikolai didn’t realize I had little interest in preserving myself if I couldn’t have her back
📖I swayed back a step and then returned, pressing my chest against hers. “No, it’s not all right. Nothing that’s happened to me in the last seven years and nothing I’ve done has been acceptable. The lines of acceptable moved so far beyond normal that I can’t see the line anymore. All I know is I want you, and I want a family with you. I want you dependent on me, needing me so much you would never stop loving me. I want a baby with your smile and my name. I want something to live for, Mallory, and I want it all with you.” My brutally honest words rang out in the quiet room.
Anyways, bratva boss who’s super possessive, tampers with her birth control, literally only has eyes for her and does unalive someone for her! Read at your own risk LOL
It’s so unhinged that I had no choice but to keep reading it and dare I say kinda enjoy 🫣
This is part 2 and the conclude of Molly & Kirill’s story - For starters can I just say…. WOW👀
This duet honestly had me in a chokehold, like I mean I started the first book this morning and at 23:36 I just finished the duet, like I could not put it down.
The beginning of this book picks up where the first book ended - Nikolai has taken Molly and Kirill is desperately searching for her. Nikolai reveals Kirill’s secrets to Molly (some of which she is aware of, some she is not) which prompts her to run from Kirill with Nikolai’s help (one of the main reasons being to protect the life she is now growing inside her)
2 months have passed and Kirill finally tracks her down to bring her home and that man is eager to get a ring on her finger. I mentioned this in my first review but I’ll say it again HE IS A MAN OBSESSED🛐.
Also can I just say Viktor, his father is the most vile character I have ever come across 🤮.
Overall I enjoyed this duet, like look at the tropes/aspects of the book: Mafia romance✔️ High school friends to lovers✔️ Second chance✔️ Possessive MMC✔️ Badass FMC✔️
I cannot wait to read Nikolai’s & Sofia’s story as they intrigued me so much in this book👀
Thank you to the author/smuthood for providing this book for my honest review.
I couldn't do it. I am over this world and, quite frankly, this author. At first, I thought this book would be better than the first. The author had course-corrected on some of the numerous issues in book 1. Then she did what so many authors do when they want to create a "strong" female lead. She mistook selfishness for strength. Molly, like so many poorly developed female characters betrays Kirill and sides with Nico after believing his half truths without a second thought. She acts like Kirill kept so many secrets from her, including his arranged engagement which he explained and she supposedly accepted in the first book. She gets righteously indignant over finding put that he knew her birth control was ineffective without taking an ounce of responsibility. Women who take birth control, in whatever form, know how long it's good for. For her to act shocked that hers is expired is a testament to how irresponsible, selfish and immature she really is. Especially when she never once asked him to use protection and even acknowledged, to herself in the first book, that a pregnancy with him wasn't as unappealing as she's now pretending it is. Female leads like this drive me insane because they are the opposite of strong and expect all the effort to come from the man. I get so tired of these "strong" women who are really just self-centered b*tches acting like they're too good for their alpha men. The men deserve women who can and will stand with them. An alpha b*tch through and through. Not these weak brats they so often get saddled with. I could not make myself read any more after Molly left Kirill. AGAIN. Especially since he had let his walls down and she promised she wouldn't leave.
This was amazing. The build up. The drama, the chemistry. I loved every single part of this duet. It was my first from this author but definitely won’t be my last. This was 🥵🥵 Definitely recommend.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I gave this two stars because of the relationship between Nikolai and Kirill and because I feel Kirill didn't grovel enough like he got her arrested. Also I was pissed at the whole giving Nikolai to de sanctis thing, it irritated me.
Tropes: dark mafia romance, second chance, Kidnapping
Monsters are made, not born yet Kirill was both. Unfortunately, Molly realized this too late. He may have forgiven her for running before but when he finds her again, all bets are off. Kirill is determined to get a ring on her finger no matter what he has to do to get her down the aisle. Molly is pretty sure what he may do but he doesn't know what she's hiding. It's nine months in the making.
The conclusion of Molly and Kirill's journey was definitely entertaining. I loved the growth in both characters. Kirill understood his faults and in carrying her surprise, Molly gained the strength and determination I wanted to see in the first book. The plot was realistic and exciting. I really appreciated how the author brought their story to a close. I'm now excited for more from this world and I'm really looking forward to Nikolai's story. This is my honest opinion, freely given.
Mallory and Kirill's story picks up right where it left off.
Mallory loves Kirill, but when she discovers everything he has done to keep her, she is hurt and angry. Kirill will still stop at nothing to keep Mallory. He just had to find a way to protect her from his father and their enemies.
I became more interested in Kirill's brother Nikolai in this book. He seems like he could be the fun type of unhinged, and I'm interested in his story.
Absolutely loved Kirill chernov!!!! When I read characters like him, I realise why am I such a sucker for hot, dominant ruthless, intense mafia men. They r my kryptonite ISTG.😭♥️
The second half of the duet had things I really liked and some things i wasn't a huge fan of. Liked the ending and how everything came together, liked that things between Kirill and Nikolai were left unresolved, for me that felt more real and also will lead into Nikos story with Sofia. Was not a huge fan of Molly's overall, she lacked communication skills, Kirill said so many sweet things to her and she might as well have answered "cool" for all the emotion she showed him, it was all there in her internal monologue but she barely said anything more heartfelt to him than a basic "i love you, and you know it" Im really not a fan of the secret pregnancy and the runaway scenario so that didnt endear me to her either and i was SO disappointed that she wasnt the one to tell Kirill she was pregnant in a sweet and private moment... that made me so mad because they had the perfect opportunity in the library the night before he found out, but she just never told him... why? Because she can't communicate. The storyline itself was very good, and honestly, the writing was fab, so the book still is a 4⭐️ for me. I dont like to let little things that annoy me personally to impact too heavily on my overall rating.
This book picks up right where the first left off and I really enjoyed this one overall! I don’t wanna say much as I don’t want to give anything away, so this is gonna be a short and sweet review.
I really like how this duet concluded and it was def a fun read. If you’re a fan of dark mafia romances with possessive MMC’s then you def need to pick this up!
I cant wait for Nikolai and Sofias book!
Read this if you like: - Dark Romance - Mafia Romance - Possessive/Obsessive MMC - Second Chances - High School Friends to Lovers - Unapologetic MMC - Touch Her & Die
I was correct, this could’ve been one longer book. The first 150pgs seemed redundant. Most of her anger felt ridiculous considering some of the things she was angry over she acknowledged and accepted in some form in the first book. I want to rant about each of those things and how they contradicted points in the first book, but who has the time?
This was a really great conclusion to the duet. Mila Kane has managed to wrap up Kirill and Molly's story and still leave you wanting more. Thankfully we'll get more from the Chernov Bratva in the form of Niko. For someone I hated in the beginning she did an amazing job at turning that into a love-to-hate. Look forward to his and Sofia's story.
Back to Kirill and Molly though. The cliffhanger in book 1 left a lot of questions and I was so eager to get into this book that I grabbed it right up and read the first couple of chapters because I just couldn't wait till I had more time. There were some good surprises and a few shocks but the twist and turns kept going right to the end, never being quite sure how it would play out. We knew of course Molly and Kirill would end up together but how they got there was the fun part.
The characters both have a lot to love and hate about them and their conflicted feelings leave plenty of opportunity for many steamy moments, as well as some sweet ones. You'll be kept on the edge waiting for it all to play out.
If you like mafia dark romance this has everything you'd expect and it's worth the read. . . . Kirill has been betrayed again and Molly is gone, in the hands of his psychopathic brother and rival. When he gets her back she had better be whole or Niko will suffer worse than any other has under his hands before. No matter how hard he looks though he only continues to find dead ends and he's quickly realizing a life without Molly again is a life he won't live.
Molly has no idea what Nikolai has planned for her but she knows it can't be good. He killed all of Kirill's guards before taking her and she can only imagine the plans he has to punish Kirill using her. What she finds though is the psycho is not everything she thought. When he starts revealing Kirill's secrets everything she thought she was finally figuring out about Kirill is broken.
Finally having Molly in his grasp again only to watch her leave him is the worst pain he's ever faced. He has no choice but to let her run again but he will find her and there will be no losing her ever again. In the meantime, he'll have to figure out how to deal with his brother and father.
It seems like she finally escaped Kirill but she should have known better. The quiet little life she made for herself in the few months she was free is shattered. To make sure no one gets hurt she returns to New York as Kirill's reluctant partner.
He is tired of losing her and he won't do it again. She may hate him right now but he knows that their love will always bring them back together he just has to break through her walls again. 'She and I were the same, and we'd always be each other's exception to everything. There was no line I couldn't cross that Mallory wouldn't forgive me for one day because her soul had found its partner in mine.'
She's keeping a huge secret from Kirill but she's not sure she can ever truly be with him again, she's not even sure if she's going to run again or not. But no matter how much she wants to hate him she can't stop loving him.
They'll just have to survive his brother and father to see if they can get past what they have done to each other. "You'll never leave me, and I'll never leave you." His hand cupped my jaw, tilting my head back, and holding my supplicant. I let out a sigh and surrendered to his touch. "Promise?" "I absolutely fucking guarantee it, Princess."
Wow!!! I jumped right into book two after reading book one and all I can say is what a duet this has been!!!
This book picks up right where we left off....... Nikolai has taken Molly and Kirill is on a war path to find her. Whilst Molly is with Nik he reveals all Kirill's secrets. She knows some others she doesn't!!! The ones she doesn't know about makes her wanna run far away from Kirill and with Nik's help she does.
Months pass and Kirill finally finds her and he's wanting her home and I mean he wants her home now! The man wants her as his wife and what Kirill wants he gets!!!!
Honestly this has been such a good duet I couldn't put either book down and was well reading into the early hours of the morning!!! I can't wait to read other stories in this series I hope some of the secondary characters get a story.
If you love books that have a Dominant obsessive male then ✅ Mafia lead ✅ Bad ass female lead ✅ Friends to lovers ✅ Family saga ✅
There are triggers within these books so please do some research before just in case but honestly the best duet I've read in a long time.
The conclusion of this duet was a good one. Like others, I would have liked to see Kirill with the baby. However, given there are going to be more books in this world, I feel like there is g0ing to be a continuation of the story. This book picks up where the first left off so it's straight into the action. Kirill finds his brother and Molly, and after everything she finds out, she disappears. Kirill is different in this book. He's realised that his hurt, his anger, and his want for revenge have been misguided and all for nothing, so he let's it all slip away. Molly is his, and no one, even her, will tell him differently. While kirill is still the possessive Alpha, he now does things without the anger driving him. It's all about his love for Molly and keeping her safe. In this book, we get more of a glimpse into his brother, and you can tell he had just as bad, if not worse, a childhood as Kirill. These 2 are both broken little boys trying to fulfil the destiny that their father pushed on them. This is all they have now. And they are done with letting him c0ntrol them anymore. They work together, whilst Kirill does everything he can to find his Molly. He eventually does and takes her home, her fighting the whole way. She can't get over everything that he's done. She's strong and fights him the whole time, whilst Kirill is his unapologetic self and does what he wants. It's not until they have a scare that she realises she can't live without him and she chooses to wait. From here, things move kind of quickly, and they finally don't have to worry about Kirill's father anymore, but at what cost? Whilst this did wrap up their story, it almost is left on a very small cliffhanger. I won't mention what as this will give it away. The story was written well, and I really enjoyed the writing style of the author. I liked the back and forth between past and present, and I especially liked how the characters were written both in the past and present. Whilst still strong and sassy, Molly almost seemed like 2 different people. Rich, entitled teenage girl with attitude, and a strong, independent woman who lost everything and basically had to fight to survive. I think this shows the strength of the writing and the abilities of the author to be able to write the characters this way. Kirill on the other hand, I feel was slightly less different in that he let more of his softer side show as a teenager, but you could still feel the darkness in him, as an adult, you saw more darkness than softness. This was an enjoyable read, and I also loved the side characters. I'm looking forward to Nikolai's book, and I'd especially love to see Max and Fede's story as well because I know there's one there! Happy reading, everyone!
Gotta love the ending ooooh and I’m so happy about what happened to his father and maybe I care a little about the brother BUT there wasn’t a more perfect ending then that for them love love love 🥰 😍
The sequel was definitely better than the first book Finishing the story of Molly & Kirill Lots of twists & turns & anger & lies but they were soul mates but could they survive when too many people thought Molly made Kirill weak, especially his father Victor the Pakhan.
