Whisked away to the fairytale Castle for a dream vacation, Mira confronts her darkest fears.

Vacationing at Master Marshall's world-renowned Castle should have spelled Fantasy Land, but for Mira the trip means paying a debt. She promised to work hard at her translator's certificate course while her advisor went on maternity leave, but distraction arrives in the form of her first love. Diplomat Hana Takahashi, from Desire in Any Language, captures Mira's total attention. Between Hana's stringent embassy security and Mira's draconian school dormitory curfew, their stolen kisses drive Mira wild with desire. Hana makes a bet with Mira: keep up with her schoolwork or take a trip of Hana's choice, according to Hana's rules. No veto power.

When Mira presents her inadequate end-of-term report, Hana books a dream vacation - of Hana's dreams. Safe within the Castle, the elaborate role playing kink haven, Hana turns Mira into her little girl. Complete with a private nurse, playroom with its nanny in charge, and a schoolroom filled with naughty pupils and a stern teacher, the Castle's ageplay wing reduces Mira to a child from the moment of her arrival. Hana's word is law, and all of the Castle employees carry out her orders for Mira.

However, Mira's natural resistance leads to tantrums, defiance, and spankings from every adult who assists with her care. When she encounters a tutor who triggers her deepest fears, she must face her residual trauma over the duplicitous "Mistress Susan." Is Mira ready for the maternal nurturing offered by Hana, or will her unhealed wounds drive everyone away? Can she become Hana's little girl, or will she safeword out of the Castle to return to everyday life... without Hana? Will there be a miracle for Mira?

Warning: contains ageplay, mouth-soaping, spankings, and sex scenes.

"Mira's Miracle" takes place after Vitsky's "Desire In Any Language" and before "Ana Adored". This can be read as a standalone book, though.

At the very end of "Desire In Any Language" Mira met her love interest, Hana, and we didn't get to see much of their relationship. "Mira's Miracle" picks up a few months after "Desire..." and the book's focus is about their first vacation together at the Castle.

What's the Castle, you ask? It's a place where every BDSM fetish can be fulfilled...

I visited the Castle in "Ana Adored" so it's not my first time there and I *loved* that book. However, even on my second visit, I find that I have a mixed reaction. There's some discomfort of "OMG, this place actually exists?!". At the same time I give it props, "OMG, this place actually exists, how cool!" This is kind of Mira's reaction, too. :) It's quite the bizarro land for better or worse. The main thing is that, whatever the fetish or preference, the Castle is perhaps the safest place to explore it and the safety aspect is highly emphasized, both emotional and physical. It's a fascinating environment.

Mira is still the immature character we met in "Desire..." so I didn't warm up to her entirely. And Hana, the mature one, isn't shown as much as I would've liked. However, the crux of the book is around Mira's exploration of her self in age-play...first as a young school girl, then even younger as a preschool type age.

Instead of the teacher/student dynamic seen in "Desire..." we get the mommy/child dynamic with a focus on discipline/spanking + being doted on/cared for. What makes the dynamic extra complex are Mira's two very separate but real issues in her regular life: 1) mommy issues AND 2) the previous sexual abuse she endured. When entering a scene of BDSM age-play, how does one reconcile the pretend and safe from the real and unsafe? And, in some ways, the pretend is more real than anything. Vitsky handles these topics really well and is a master of guiding us through what is healthy vs not.

I wouldn't say this book has the rape trigger of "Desire..." but the aftermath of abuse colors Mira's entire experience so people with a similar background may be hit harder than those who don't.

This isn't a "falling in love" type romance but it is does include a romantic relationship and the exploration of intimacy between Mira and Hana. And, though it's about spanking and erotic scenes it's not erotica, either.

Well-written and an interesting read. Recommend.

Mira's Miracle is something very special: it takes the fascinating frame of Maren Smith's Castle series and uses it to tell a moving--even at times a harrowing--tale of Mira learning to be at peace with her need for kink and for the wonderful Hana. Ms. Vitsky writes as always with an extraordinary lyricism of Mira's fraught emotional relationship to her sexuality and to past trauma, and by the time we get to the wonderful resolution (with the cinnamon oil) we feel Mira and Hana have earned not just a happy ending, but happiness with one another.

I fell in love with Ana's book Desire in Any Language and was thrilled to see what came next in Mira's adventures. Hana was still a bit of mystery at the end of the last book- I admit I was pretty transfixed on Mira's fascination with her tutor myself. Finding out more about Hana and Mira's relationship was very exciting. Going to the Castle on vacation was even more so. All the possibilities-especially in a shared universe like this one. When Mira gets to the Castle, she finds out that the luxury vacation she thought she was getting is very different from the reality that awaits her. Each step took me deeper and deeper and I didn't want it to end.

Thinking about how this book made me feel left me with twisting emotions indeed. I loved it completely. It explored age play and that is something I have discovered is a trigger point in most cases. So...I identified with Mira's terror at being touched by the male teacher in the school. When something bad happens to you like what she experienced, it leaves scars. I will be the first to admit it-I still have them and they pop up and the damnedest times. Journeying with Mira at the Castle, I felt like I was there with her as she was dressed in in children's clothes and made to behave as if she were a child. It was hard for her and for more than one reason.

Mira did not accept what was happening to her. The loss of control was something that she struggled with, especially when she felt threatened by individuals in what was to be a safe environment. She was not honest with Hana about what had happened to her and how being put into a position of vulnerability around a man could trigger the despair and helplessness that caused her to lash out. Epic emotions and some pretty intense spankings ensue. I could not stop reading. (Even with my own deadlines-I kept sneaking off to find out what happened.)

Ana writes on an emotional plane that takes me with her every time. In Mira's Miracle I learned how it feels to walk into an age play situation and become accustomed to it as Mira did. Battling the trust and vulnerability issues was a big one. I think Ana did a wonderful job of showing the tenderness in every act of love and every spanking that took place. Age play was so not the pervy thing I thought it would be. Not with f/f. I, like Mira, felt safe in the Castle once I understood the boundaries and can't wait for another trip with a flaming hairbrush or nurse's pocket paddle. The letters at the beginning of the book and at the end still have me thinking and I really hope we will be seeing more of these lovely ladies.

Stellar read!

Mira’s Miracle is a beautifully written, moving, deeply erotic read. It isn’t often that I can’t put a book down, but this was one of those occasions. Ana Vitsky’s vibrant and atmospheric prose places the reader right into the Castle with Mira, experiencing everything with her, feeling every moment. The personal, immediate narrative style puts all of Mira’s vulnerabilities, fears, hopes, desires right out on the page without compromise for us to see and empathise with.

The story primarily centres around ageplay, something that Mira experiences for the first time. This complex and not easily-understood aspect of sexuality is handled with sensitivity, and the account of Mira’s nascent experiences serves as a sympathetic and convincing window onto the phenomenon for the unfamiliar reader.

Much more than a titillating account of a young woman’s erotic adventures, or a catalogue of her punishments, Mira’s Miracle is the story of an individual’s journey to understanding. Of the “funny world of strange rules” that is the Castle (a metonym for kink of all kinds); of her feelings toward Hana; most of all, her understanding of herself. At first Mira fights (quite literally) against others and herself: against the Castle staff who dress her and treat her like a little girl, and her own demons. But with time and care her resistance to the practices of the ‘ageplay wing’ melts away, in a direct parallel with the resolution of her emotional and intellectual conflict.

The punishments that Mira receives are elegantly and subtly drawn, sometimes to the point of ellipsis: like every other aspect of the story they fit perfectly, speaking of the voice and the heart of a sensitive, unassuming girl.

Mira’s Miracle is, above all, life-affirming. It offers hope that we can each of us grow, and heal, and learn to love ourselves; to get beyond the pain of the past and love everything that makes us who we are.

5 STARS PLUS!! This book was damn near perfect for me! I looooooved it!!!! If you LOVE The Master of the Castle series by Maren Smith, like I do then this story is just an added bonus! Ana's amazing characters visit that castle!

All the characters, the interwoven storylines, the drama, the love, the passion, the angst, the fear, the doubt, the sheer happiness - it was all so good!! I know I really like a book when I start reading it really slow, taking in all the details, because I simply don't want it to end! That's how this one was for me! One of the best books I've read and it's f/f!!

I am definitely putting Anastasia Vitsky on my must read list and hope to happily devour more of her books in the near future.

Not meant for me?

I read the book “Ana Adored.” It make me want to read this book. I picked it up and couldn’t really get past the first chapter. It was quite discombobulated and I had a hard time figuring what was actually going on. I picked it up several times over the last few weeks. Finally, I went to finish it starting yesterday. I must say, that I read it quite slowly. I didn’t really understand this relationship whatsoever. I know it was Mira’ first experience in this lifestyle. But I did not understand what Hana was trying to accomplish. I guess this is one aspect of a particular taste in BDSM that I don’t fully understand.

I didn’t quite get the scenes to be honest. It felt like Mira didn’t really know what was happening, and it wasn’t really explained. Maybe that was the point, that we all go through it as Mira and Hana did. But what was also throwing me was the feelings and connection that Mira had with her “nurse” Trinity. Was more going on there? Is there more to come? It was hard to know. The writing seemed to be all over the place.

I can’t say that I really enjoyed this story at all. I did little to help me understand the MC’s. And we really didn’t even hear from Miranda Hardwick for the rest of the story outside of a few letters and a brief introduction.

I was expecting more.

If you ain't read it check out Mira's intro to the world of BDSM written by A Vitsky.

This castle getaway really drops newbie Mira into confusion and need.

This was such a good read---I love the Castle and age-play books and this is a lovely combination of both. I wanted to be sure I had the background and bought the Mira's Desire set. I was glad I had the background on their relationship and the vital information of Mistress Susan. Although I will point out it is not necessary to buy the two book boxed set it is helpful and I am glad I did.

The relationship between Hana and Mira grows and deepens at the Castle with the help of Master Emerson (the teacher) and Mistress Trinity the Nanny. Mira is not sure of the school room or the nursery and struggles with the stringent rules imposed upon her. But overall it was the interaction with Master Emerson that surfaced hurts and trauma from her past. It was very touching to see her work through this and make amends. In addition, she has intimacy issues that she reveals to Hana that are so touching I found myself crying. How many of us have had hurts and trauma from our past and childhood that have affected our future relationships? The gift of having someone to reveal these hurts to is beyond measure. The ending shows a new depth for them as a couple and leaves us looking forward to another book for this couple. Definitely a great read. Worth the time and money. Definitely looking forward to more books by Anastasia Vitsky.

I really liked this book. I could not put it down. Maren Smith’s castle series is one of my favorites and now this book has joined in the ranks. The integration of one author’s created world with another author’s characters was extremely well done. Hana’s understanding and love was expressed in her meeting Mira’s needs. The depth of caring between the women was awesome. Even when Mira was confused or scared she was confident in Hana’s promise. The journey Mira took through past hurts, confusion, her desire to be loved for herself was so well written that the reader could almost feel it. Mira’s journey was one of accepting Hana’s love but also self-acceptance of her own desires. I would love to know more about Hana’s background…maybe another book? The story was well written and evoked sweet feelings of caring and hope. Thank you Maren for sharing your world and Ms. Vitsky for sharing your gift of storytelling with us.

I really enjoyed reading snippets of this book on the author's blog so I knew I wanted to read the complete book as soon as possible. I treasure Anastasia's female/female romances- I've read quite a few of the books she's published. When I found out that she had gotten permission to set this book in the Castle of Maren Smith's BDSM romance "Castle" series, this became a must read. I loved meeting Mira in the previous book in this series, "Desire in Any Language." With her romance with the gorgeous diplomat Hana taking them to a BDSM resort, I did squirm in my seat. I was intrigued to see how Anastasia would integrate the ageplay aspect in the story as this author seldom writes in over-the-top, graphic ways and she most certainly impressed me in her handling of the ageplay elements. A beautiful love story from beginning to end with beautifully written characters.

Dream come true! A favorite character, Mira from Desire in any Language and Mistress on her Knees, visits the infamous castle from Maren Smith's Masters of the Castle Series. I was hesitant to even begin this book because of the age play which will typically stops me from finishing a story. It has to be tastefully done and it's perfect here! We are also introduced to the backstory of Nurse Trinity. Ana Adored is just a really nice story on its own, but then when you see it as pieces of a complex puzzle of characters in different books, it becomes even more special. There's still missing pieces to this puzzle between the different books and I look forward to filling in those pieces in future books.

Centered on age-play, Mira’s Miracle is a story about Mira’s need to accept her kinks and accept herself. When Mira loses a bet to Hana, they embark into a dream vacation where Mira becomes Hana’s little girl. In the Castle, Mira confronts her fears and confusions; she is set up to be a kid, with a nanny, and to be Hanna’s good girl.
