There are many fantastic true stories in this collection that would make excellent movies and indeed multi season television series. Particularly that of Nellie Cashman.

A pleasant enough collection of short biographies of Irish emigres who did something big elsewhere.
I'm not sure it satisfies as a cohesive book, but each bio is interesting enough.

Some good anecdotes in there, Eliza Lynch the first lady of Paraguay was a highlight
