One Last Thing...

Bonus Section - Original Text of How to Get What You Want What You'll Learn

There are three primary things you'll learn from this book:

Mr. Wattles' definition of success, which you'll find right up front in the first chapter. Many people fail in life simply because they're trying to live up to someone else's ideal rather than their own. Don't you be one of them!

The first requisite to success, which you'll discover in the first chapter and learn how to develop in the second. If you lack this one thing, try as you might, you're destined to fail.

Mr. Wattles' simple formula for success, which will unfold itself to you in the third and subsequent chapters. If you've been looking for the "missing ingredient", odds are, that's where you'll find it. Are You Serious About Getting What You Want?

Wallace Delois Wattles was an American author. A New Thought writer, he remains personally somewhat obscure, but his writing has been widely quoted and remains in print in the New Thought and self-help movements. Wattles' best known work is a 1910 book called The Science of Getting Rich in which he explained how to become wealthy.

He studied the writings of Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel and Ralph Waldo Emerson and recommended the study of their books to his readers who wished to understand what he characterized as "the monistic theory of the cosmos".

Through his personal study and experimentation Wattles claimed to have discovered the truth of New Thought principles and put them into practice in his own life. He wrote books outlining these principles and practices, giving them titles that described their content, such as Health Through New Thought and Fasting and The Science of Being Great. His daughter Florence recalled that "he lived every page" of his books.

A practical author, Wattles encouraged his readers to test his theories on themselves rather than take his word as an authority, and he claimed to have tested his methods on himself and others before publishing them.

Wattles practiced the technique of creative visualization. In his daughter Florence's words, he "formed a mental picture" or visual image, and then "worked toward the realization of this vision".

Rhonda Byrne told a Newsweek interviewer that her inspiration for creating the 2006 hit film The Secret and the subsequent book by the same name, was her exposure to Wattles's The Science of Getting Rich. Byrne's daughter, Hayley, had given her mother a copy of the Wattles book to help her recover from her breakdown.

It's a brief book with five chapters. These are the things I learn from each chapter:-
1. The cause of success is in the power within us and not in other individuals and environment. It's about how we use and apply the power to its greatest extent.
2. Active Power Consciousness - Something that is more than Poise + Faith. A feeling when we know that we CAN do a thing, and know HOW to do that thing. And having faith while we are in the process.
3. Do the best at what we can at where we are. The next thing will be larger!
4. Apply your best faculty (I guess it means skill) and always act and work on it.
5. The idea of increase. While in the process, when we haven't meet our goal yet, focus on the 'increase' that move us towards it.

Seems the same and really simple, yet if you think precisely and follow this type of book , you will understand that this piece fills places in other's authors of the same genre.

Its all "about the Power of Conscientiousness" its a more logical approach to Faith and the law of attraction. The book binds you into the belief of achievement , for your brain can make "wonders" . For the era it was written it showcases sparkles of what could be considered the culture of meritocracy, yet with that powerful approach, in a more colorful way, than most philosophical touches in this hard and complex field of exploration that i believe i identified as justifications of meritory achievement ... or inspirations for it

It is a small but important gem.

Must read

This is a very small but useful book. It talks about the factors that are required to get you want in a precise and simple manner.

This book helps to realise your potential and achieve more than that. If you're a businessman or businesswoman, do give it a read.

A good quick read on keeping your goals in mind. One really great though is to expect and deliver the best of what you have now (not the future).

He aims to teach you how to create power- consciousness in yourself. This way you will know what you want to do and then know how to do it. The biggest minus of this book is it’s wordy.

It is good, but kind of a summary of The Science of Getting Rich. Still worth a read, it is quite short.
