Why would you write 5 books with so many errors?

The story line of this series is fun; however, the number of spelling, punctuation and sentence structure errors interfere with reading. Why would the author not proofread her writings? I also found repetitive summaries throughout each book of what had previously happened in the story. I understand this if you don’t start with book 1; however, the summaries continue in the middle and near the end as if you couldn’t remember Chapters 1-5. Was the author looking for filler in the storyline? As I said, the storyline is fun but the errors interfere with reading.

I’m Having a Love/Hate Thing LOL

I love these stories about women in their 40’s coming into their own witchy powers as well as the myriad mysteries, mayhem and various characters from vampires to wolf shifters, these are well crafted stories. What I hate is coming across a crazy sounding sentence. PLEASE, dear author, this is book 6, for goodness sake; editing errors should be fixed by now! If you don’t have the time, delegate someone else to fix the editing errors in your books that cause happy readers to stop dead in the middle of a happy “reading zone” to think WTF?

The protagonist, Marzie, proves to be a captivating character, seamlessly juggling the roles of an intrepid reporter, witch, and mother. The intricacies of her life as a woman in her forties navigating the introduction of a new romantic partner add a layer of depth to her character. Holding the esteemed position of Liaison as the head witch, Marzie is depicted as the most powerful witch, a fact she may not fully appreciate.

However, the narrative takes an intermittent turn, leaving readers who have faithfully followed the series somewhat perplexed. Beyond the deceleration in pace following the exhilaration of book five, the unexplained romantic reshuffle and the abrupt disappearance of attractions and love triangles from the preceding book can be disconcerting. This lack of coherence may leave readers yearning for more consistency and development in the dynamics between characters.

Furthermore, the inclusion of a book within the book, delving into the history of Widow's Bay, comes across as filler. While it offers historical context, it may be perceived as a diversion from the primary storyline, impacting the overall pacing of the book.

Notwithstanding these drawbacks, the book remains an entertaining, albeit brief, read. The incorporation of a snarky cat, elements of romance, and the depiction of family dynamics contribute to the overall charm of the narrative. With a more cohesive approach to the plot and character relationships, the book has the potential to ascend to even greater literary heights.

Loved it! Received an ARC for honest review. Marzie's back to work broadcasting but is hesitant to get back to spellcasting. After everything that happened before, can you blame her? But trouble's just around the corner so she's gotta put on her big girl panties and get crackin'. Evil never takes time for a pity party and she can't either. Plus, she has to deal with dissent in the DLC. Her ancestor Elizabeth will guide her back to her magic and help her save the town again. How Elizabeth and Brule came to form WB is a great story in itself. I hope we get more about that in future books.

I guess I am the only one grossed out by her romance with the vampire. He see her family in her and more.....he raised her ?????? Find out at end exactly how removed the (daughter) was.....he was a father and so on. Family gross. Then out of the blue pawn Grady off on her friend. What happened to her boss liking Fawn. The story between her and Grady is better than Stephen. Blah and boring. By far my least liked book in series even tho she temp stopped the vampire romance. To read about him raising a relative from childhood and being official again. Gross, barf, sick.

Another terrific book in this series. I want to be a witch in Widow's Bay!

Amazon synopsis:
Marzie is in crisis! Way beyond the midlife kind. This witch is unsure about what to do or how to do it. Every flick of the wand could lead to a disaster for the people she loves. Marzie is heading into hiding with her favorite werewolf. But the pull of Widow's Bay and her responsibilities to her coven and her family are strong. Marzie will learn the reason why intermittent casting is a very bad idea.

Join Marzie and her town of Yooper Naturals, snarky cats, and handsome vampires in this book that takes a page from the ancient history of Widow's Bay to save the vampires and shifters she loves.

Disappointing plot but still fun.

I adored all the previous five books of this serious, but the plot of this one was so obvious it was painful. You would have to be completely CLUELESS not to know what was going on from the start... and the heroine was. It was like she and her coven sisters were completely blind and didn’t mesh with the intelligent woman she’s supposed to be. Still a fun read, but really disappointing as a finish to the series.

Another great addition to an amazing series.

There are many cozy witch mysteries, but this one is quite different, which makes it an addictive read. The main character is older and all mystical beings are accepted in the town, as long as they aren't responsible for any mayhem. I highly recommend this series.

Sigh

This was very good story. I'm not positive that it is the last book in the series but it satisfied all the story lines but left the future open for more. I would read follow up stories from different characters perspective.

It's a fun escape into a paranormal world right here in my home state of Michigan! I also appreciate that the lead character is a bit older like myself. It reminds us that there is so much we can accomplish no matter what age we are.

Paranormal murder mystery

There was a murder mystery but the story was less about that then Marzie's continuing angst about herself and being a witch. She was oblivious to obvious things.

History and Hell let loose

There is a lot of animosity and uncertainty loose in Widows Bay. Marzenna doesn't trust her own powers buy maybe the past holds the answer. I really enjoyed the retrospective chapters from the first witches view point and this book really has some surprising bits. I enjoyed this the most of all the books so far

As the follow on story to book 5, it was a great conclusion. Although there will be more stories to enjoy from this author at least she tied up the ends for this story arch.

Marzie is overwhelmed and things are out of whack all over the UP. Fortunately, friends, family and friends who feel like family are there to offer support. I love how this series highlights female friendships in the best way.

Love the story. Hate the errors.

Great story. Fix the grammatical errors. Fix the name consistency. I've shared this series with others but with the caveats that the books are full of grammatical and continuity.

I am truly enjoying these bewitching tales. I was not sure when I first started reading them. This is not my usual genre. Rebecca Regnier has kept me busy all summer with her great imagination!

I have really been enjoying this series, however there is one thing that's been bothering me. How is it that this super old vampire barely knows anything of the modern world? As far as I can remember, the author has not addressed why he doesn't know anything about modern day technology and pop culture. Did something happen that kept him from the advancing world? Did he choose to seclude himself?

Other than that, very enjoyable. very quick and easy read.
