Not safe. There is a sharing scene with two other men, even though the hero said he would never share her. 😭 The hero also gets a BJ from OW in the beginning and the heroine walks in on it.
That aside, it’s kinky as hell and the heroine is a virgin.

Whew! This book was WILD. I loved every second of it. For my dark romance girlies this is in my opinion a must! Plot was plotting and the spice was spicing.
Mila is a freaking BAMF QUEEN! While also being a super sweet and genuine human being. I am obsessed with her. She is my kinda FMC. I have lots of favorites just so everyone is aware BUT My favorite scene in this book is when she gets a little Stabby, Stabby. 😏
Archer 🥵 I could not handle how in tune he was with Mila and how much he reassured her. 🫠🫠🫠 he was literal perfection. Did he become unhinged a time or two?? Sure, but he was never the bully towards her and I loved that. While I can appreciate the bully trope I’m not the biggest fan of it so Archer to me was 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽.
As a couple I loved them. The pacing of their relationship was great, their communication was awesome and I love, love, loved that they were so wholly committed to each other through and through. I love when two dark and twisted humans find their other half’s. 😍
10/10!!!! If you are dark romance girlies who like their TW’s to read like receipts this is for you! As always check on those TW’s but truly, I think this one is a must!

Obsessed and may need therapy because of how much I enjoyed this 🤣
This book was so good! I love a good secret society trope and this one was perfection.

This book was dark and passionate and I literally carried my kindle everywhere because I couldn’t put it down! I am so ready for book 2!

Holy Hell This book is a must read. Archer 🥵has moved to the top of my book boyfriend list. Spice level is amazing 🤌🏼🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. Mila is going through life in a vanilla routine until one night when her friend drags her to a party where archer has his eyes on her and he flips her world upside down in an amazing unhinged way. Archer and mila have a history they both had long forgotten about that proves they are truly a love story.

Where do I even begin...dark, twisted, secret society, and well trigger warnings all over the place. E.L. Emkey is a women after my own heart and I don't think I have felt this passionate about a book before (especially with so many triggers). The story between Mila and Archer might seem to start off toxic but eventually the two have a bond that cannot be broken. My love for Mila showed when she took her life back from her father and decided to show her power with a little stabby stabby.
This was my first book by E.L. and I am on the 'hunt' to get her other series and devour it. You can feel the passion E.L. puts into each character and the story line. While the ending is a cliffhanger, and trust me I wanted a certain character to burn and suffer, I can't for the next installment!!!

Wow! Secret Society with a whole new twists that I could not get enough of! Dark and spice! I did not want to put it down! Mila and Archer are my new favorite Dark Romance couple! I feel that E.L Emkey took EVERYTHING I love from All of my past favorite dark romances, twisted them up with a devilish bow and hand delivered them to me! I freakin loved this book. This was my first book by E.L Emkey and I am a mad woman on a hunt for anything and everything she has written!! Instantly my fav dark romance author!!!

Okay, dark romance lovers. Let me tell you about 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑫𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒍'𝒔 𝑯𝒖𝒏𝒕. If you have zero triggers, you absolutely need to devour this one up now. I have none, and that's what I did. I basically ignored my family (not really, but I wanted to 😆) while diving into this one. It was worth it!
Archer & Mila. Oh how I absolutely loved these characters! Archer is a man that will bring a woman to her knees for him. He was unhinged. He was so amazing for Mila! And, Mila? Well, she quickly became my favorite for a literal BA FMC. The chemistry between them??? That alone would bring 𝙢𝙚 to my knees! Talk about 🥵!!!!
The plot line was beautifully chiseled. It kept me absolutely hooked from start to finish. Watch Archer & Mila fall for each other, all while navigating the twists and turns of the story......it was *chef's kiss*!
𝐴𝑛𝑔𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑎 𝑅𝑜𝑐𝑐𝑎 is a powerhouse in the female narrator field! She gave her whole self to bring Mila to life and she nailed it beautifully! 𝑆𝑒𝑎𝑛 𝑀𝑎𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑠 gave an epic performance for Archer's unhinged side!!! His voice melted me! He was the perfect compliment to 𝐴𝑛𝑔𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑎'𝑠 voice!
As you can see, this story of a dark secret society truly captivated me. I could go on with my thoughts in so many ways, but if I do, I'll spoil it. So let's just say, again, if you have zero triggers, love spice that is off the charts hot, and a man who comes unhinged for his woman, then you must add this one. I can't wait for another phenomenal story from this author!

The Devil’s Hunt was my first book by E.L. Emkey and I am so glad it’s the first book of the series, because I am already eager for more.
When Mila locks eyes with Archer at a party, she is instantly intrigued by him. Little does she know, he’s been watching her for sometime now. Archer is part of a powerful secret society and he is willing to do whatever it takes to make Mila his.
Writing reviews for secret society books is always a little tricky for me because I don’t want to give too much away. I really enjoyed The Devil’s Hunt, it was deliciously dark and full of twists. I love that Archer provided Mila a chance to truly embrace her darker side without judgement. Mila went from reserved and innocent to a force to be reckoned with. She and Archer complimented each other so well. This story kept me on the edge of my seat, and I can’t wait for more!
The Devil’s Hunt is dual narrated by the incredibly talented Angelina Rocca and Sean Masters. Whoever cast these two deserves a raise, they were the perfect fit to bring Mila and Archer to life. Angelina captures Mila’s softness so well but she also did a wonderful job executing Mila’s character growth as she starts to accept that darker side of herself. Archer is unapologetically dark and possessive, Sean did a wonderful job bringing Archer’s wickedness to life. His deep and commanding voice was perfect for Archer.

Archer saved Mila, but he had his own reasons for doing so. He’d been stalking her for a while, and after he saved her, he inserted himself in her life. And he became obsessed.
I liked the beginning of the book, but along the way, I feel like it kind of fell apart. First, Archer was only using Mila, but very very quickly, he was in love. And she fell too. But they, or at least she, didn’t really know each other. And it didn’t make sense.
There were still some great twists and turns though, and it was interesting to see how it all played out.

What a wild ride. For my dark romance girls who like spice and a plot with a secret society. This is a must read but this book comes with a new set of twist that will keep you captivated throughout the book. I did not want to put it down! Mila and Archer are introduced to us in this book giving some other dark romance couples a run for their money. This was my first book by E.L Emkey and I was surprised how much I enjoyed this book. The books normally need to have the right amount of twist and spice for me to stay intrigued with a secret society plot but EL Emkey delivered the perfect book to keep the reader engaged.

If you like dark, stalker, touch her and d!e books, then you do need to read this one. The more the story progresses, the darker the story gets. The "hunt" that Mila participated in was wild. She showed that she is not weak but a fighter.
Archer had this predatory vibe about him. Every time that he got a hold of Mila and had her going wild with desire! Instantly, I was draw to him. Mila took a little bit to warm up to but by the end of the book, I was a fan of her's.
Two others that I wanted to give a shout out to are Kai and Theo. These two brought humor to the story. Which was a nice addition to this dark read. I am looking forward to reading the next book.

I felt like this book started off really strong, but then it just kind of went a bit downhill. I didn’t feel the chemistry between the characters, and there were quite a bit plot of holes and unanswered questions. I felt the MMC character was made to feel a bit more “badass” then he actually was by the FMC character. And the ending was just very rushed. Something that was supposed to be major occurring ending up being over in the blink of an eye and without any consequence. It just felt rushed.
If you are someone who enjoys mostly spice in their books, this would be a great option for you. The do screw like rabbits and like all the time. I don’t feel there is an equal plot to smut with this one. 🖤

You had me at- Dark and twisted, secret society, and all the triggers!! Mila is so fierce and Archer is 🥵 and such an alpha. I devoured this book and craved more and more. I just can’t get enough of The Brotherhood. Excited to read more!! I want to thank the brilliant author for allowing me to read her wonderful work. I’ve already downloaded some of her other books and can’t wait to dive in.

This...this was the dark romance that I needed. Mila discovers her true self when Archer enters her life and alters it in every way. Their relationship? Let's just say it's as twisted as the world they live in. With enough plot twists, and plenty of steamy moments, this book grabs you and doesn't let go. Seriously, I couldn't put it down. This became one of my favorite books so far.

I honestly don’t even know where to start with this review!! I can’t even begin to describe how amazing this book is!!
I got to arc read E.L. Emkey's debut novel last year and she has been stuck with me ever since😉 I absolutely love her writing. I truly am so thankful to have her in my life. I am mentioned in the acknowledgments and I totally cried when I saw it 🥹
The Devil’s Hunt is a dark college romance with so many twists!! This book is a wild ride and I loved every minute of it!! The plot was so good and the spice was so spicy.
The two main characters are Mila and Archer. Gosh, I love them both so much! Mila was such a queen! She was such a sweet character. I loved seeing her growth throughout the book. She goes through a lot but comes out stronger than before. Archer 🥵🤭 this man!! I am obsessed with him. He was so unhinged and I loved it! I love how he always reassured and protected Mila. I love them as a couple! They are so perfect for each other.
This book was so beautifully written! I can’t wait for future books in this series!! If you love dark romance, then you will love this book and I highly recommend you pick it up. As always, make sure you check tws

I devoured this book! My jaw was on the floor the whole time 🤯 heavy on smut, some murder, secret society action…this is easily one of my favourite books I’ve read so far 😮💨

Okay, so I got approved for book THREE in this series, but obviously I had to start at the beginning. And WOW. I was not ready for this. I am now spiritually, emotionally, and demonically invested!!
Archer—aka my new obsession—is the brooding, intense, dark demon alpha of your dreams. He’s got that “I will burn the world down for you” energy with a side of healthy empowerment. Like, yes, he's possessive, but one of my favorite scenes is when he literally encourages Mila to speak up in class with her feminist lecture! Hello? We love a supportive demon king!
Mila starts off quiet and reserved, but don't be fooled—she’s sharp, resilient, and when she finds her voice (thanks in part to her dark champion), she absolutely shines. She’s not just a damsel—she’s dangerous in her own right.
This book had me sweating, swooning, and questioning my morals... and I immediately picked up book two, because how could I not?!
Final thoughts: Unholy cravings. No regrets. BRB, giving my soul to Archer.

HOLY GOODNESS!! WOW!! This was spectacular!! Acher and Mila were one explosive and exciting couple. They remind me of Gomez and Morticia- that undying love. The twist about Maddie was wild! I wish Lacey could have had a better outcome. All in all, I truly enjoyed this book! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I have struggled with how to rate this because there are things about this book that I liked and things that I did not. First I will say that Emkey has an amazing writing style; she can really paint pictures with her words. I truly felt like I was watching the book in movie form in my mind. I liked the characters you're supposed to like and hated the ones who were written to be hated. That being said I felt that, while there was character development and growth, the character told me that they were changing instead of showing me. As good a writer as Emkey is, I feel that she could have delved deeper into these characters and developed them more. I didn't feel a connection with any of them except maybe at the end when I could feel Mila's emotions. The main reason I am giving this 3 stars instead of 4 is I feel like this was a exceedingly spicy book with not a lot of plot for most of the book. Once Archer and Mila get together the first time, it's almost the only thing they do; something happens, "let's have sex". There was one part where Mila experienced something that would emotionally affect anyone and her first thought is "I need to have sex with Archer." Really?! At around 60% I was beginning to think that every 2-5 pages was going to be a spicy scene. I need more plot than that. It wasn't until about chapter 38 that there was more plot than sex. Don't get me wrong I love a good spicy book, but there has to be something else going on besides the spice. I will probably read the second one just because I have to know what happens, but I am really hoping that there's a little bit more plot.
Read this if you were a big Fifty Shades fan, especially book one of that trilogy. The author does give a list of trigger warnings at the beginning, so if you have things that might bother you, check it out on page 6 (kindle edition).

Full of trigger warnings, and “you better run-s”, and “i will punish you-s,” and “i will love you forever-s.” It’s not an easy one to get through so those trigger warnings need to be your bestie before you dive in! But those of us with zero to no triggers, love a black romance with an unaliving MMC, then don’t hesitate. This book is for you.
When we meet Mila, she’s this shy, innocent, virgin college girl who is dragged to “the social event of the year!” The Devil’s Hunt. When she locks eyes with Archer, she’d never know that he would not only save her life but be the LOVE of her life. Archer is this sexy, tattooed, unaliving, bad boy of The Brotherhood and once he sets his eyes on something.. he gets it. And he gets Mila. When they finally connect, it’s like Archer unlocks this part of Mila she’s been hiding from everyone including herself. She is her truest self with Archer… even if they are unhinged AF!
Emkey is a wonderful writer… I could have kept reading this book for days and days and day on end! I particularly liked the ending! It sets us up for the rest of the series but switches POVs - like book 2 will pick right back up where this book ended and I can’t wait to dive into that! I 10/10 recommend this to all those dark romance baddies, looking for a possessive OOT MMC and a FMC who comes into her own and is strong AF! Throw in secret societies and rituals in the forrest and it’s a home run!

Okay but why are we not talking about this book right here?! The Devils’s Hunt is Book 1 in the Brotherhood series and if you are a fan of Dark Romance with a Secret Society, Blood Play, Primal, Touch Her/Him and 💀, Stalking, Unaliving and so much more, this book is for you!
In The Devil’s Hunt we meet Mila, who is smart as can be, a bit reserved and has to be at her dad’s beck and call. But when her best friend Lacey begs her to go to a party, Mila reluctantly goes and boy she does not realize her world is about to change when she locks eyes with Archer.
Archer, is an unaliver for the Brotherhood, a secret society that is working to take out underground trafficking and anyone else that stands in their way. When he sees Mila he becomes a man possessed and will stop at nothing to break and protect her.
This one is spicing kids and while Archer maybe be a little on the crazy side, he is crazy only for Mila and will not let her go. What started as a job for him quickly morphed into her becoming his entire world, he is about to show her the depths to his depravity and her inner darkness begs to be released.
Their commitment to each other knows no bounds and while Archer likes to dominate he has a tender side when it comes to Mila as well. Though there is insta-lust, it takes her a minute to fully give herself to him but once she does, she is all in.

What isn't there to say about Mila and Archer King… This story has such a poetic way of writing, such a dark and twisted story and I ate up every minute of it. The characters, especially Mila and Archer, have a level of depth that makes you feel so connected to them, especially if you have ever felt like a black sheep or outcast yourself. E. L Emkey does such a beautiful job of showing how we deserve to be loved for the deepest, darkest parts of ourselves and that the right person will help us not only love but embrace those parts of ourselves too. The supporting characters (Kai, Theo, Haven) in this book were also so easy to fall in love with, and I can’t wait to hear more of their stories in the future! Is this book for the faint of heart… no, but if you love dark and twisted romance with a deep and meaningful story, I would definitely put this on your TBR right away!!! If I could give this a 6 out of 5 I would! Please as always check the trigger warnings before reading!!!
