Short story of less than thirty pages involving a young married couple's desperate attempt to achieve financial stability by kidnapping a four year old child for ransom. Carrie has agreed to go along, but as the story unfolds she becomes increasingly uncomfortable with her husband, Jimmy's callousness. How will he treat their unborn child?

The story keeps your interest and the characters are well developed in this short story with a surprise ending that leaves you wanting to know more. Recommended for teens and adults who like a quite

What a waste of time. Wish I could have given it zero stars! Thankfully it was very, very short, so I didn't waste much time on it. Was very frustrated with the abrupt ending, not really resolving anything. Then the rest of the "book" was an excerpt of the author's new novel. I read a few pages of it, but didn't want to get involved and then have to buy the book to find out the ending to that new story.
Very disappointing to have the short story end without even establishing a plot or storyline. And then to throw in a story that we have to purchase to find out the ending.
Thankfully this was free. Guess you really do get what you pay for...pay nothing and get nothing!

Two short stories

This book had two short stories. It was just enough to start being interesting and then they ended I'm camping so can't get online to check out the whole book version Depending on the cost of the books is whether I would buy them or not. Just wasn't enough of a story to pay a lot for the books

Kidnapped

Short and sweet. Seeing what happens to people who do drugs and gamble get in too deep. Finding out that the person you love, isn't what you thought they are.

An interesting story

A very interesting story about a couple down on their luck that kidnap a little girl for the Branson money. This short story asks the age old question...what would you do in this situation? I personally hope to never find myself in this situation.

This short story has a few grammatical errors. But it does not really mess with the flow of the story. This story is a great discussion starter :)

I would have liked this story if it had been more than seven pages long. It started out good, gets you into the story, then stops. The rest of the ebook is an excerpt from her new book. I would have liked a little more of "Kidnapped".

This short read grabs on to you quickly and gets tighter each page you read. Terrified of what is yet to come.....

A great short story, with well-developed characters in such a small space. I'd love to read more of this - turn it into a novel!
