Well just when you think you can’t have your cake and eat it too you find this book and find out that actually yes yes you can this books got it all it’s sweet it’s funny there’s fantastic banter on all sides you throw in a few moments of madness at the author for playing with your feeling and then leaving the story like that with that ending excuse me I’m gonna need more like right now
I really enjoyed reading this book. I normally don’t read fantasy books but I wanted to read something different than what I normally read. This book definitely took me on an adventure. As I was reading this book, my mind would make the scenes play out in my head as I would read. Some nights I didn’t even want to put down the book and I even think at one point I even cried just a little.
It follows two sisters Lynia and Lynessa who do jobs to get credits to buy keys and pay for the things they need. They end up buying one warrior key and while on a job Lynia find a black key that is tied to a rogue mage. They use these keys to help them complete their jobs just in case they have to fight other creatures. Lynessa ends up, falling for the warrior, and Lynia falls for the mage. Lynia and Lynessa together with the warrior and the mage try to save their world.
As part of Joanna White's Valiant series, Rogue offers vivid and detailed fight scenes and characters struggling against darkness bigger than their world. However, unlike the other Valiant books, Rogue continues the epic story of the chosen with outrageous situations, laughter, friendship, and a cute romance. Rogue is fun and funny, and many readers could enjoy this action fantasy romance.
(The romance is totally clean, and even though I'm not a romance person, I really enjoyed it and thought it felt believable. )
Rogue is book 5 in the Valiant series. It is a fun read that has several funny moments and a lot of quick banter. This book easily sucks the reader in and it is very hard to put down. The FMCs are everything that sisters should be and I was very sad when I reached the end of the book because I wanted more.
