Let Me Be Yours

Rate this book
A grieving King, a lost island girl, and a love that changes them forever…

After losing her intended Mate, Artemis Brimwood, future King of Nestia, is bereft. Broken. Beyond consolation. There's simply no room in her heart for someone else—anyone else. Yet her mother's incessant pressure to wed and continue the Brimwood name leads Art to Aeryn Sweetwater, an island girl at heart who desires nothing more than her mother and her Alpha's approval.

But Art doesn't need a Mate; she has no use for one. So she concocts a mutually beneficial scheme with Aeryn: the omega will agree to bear her pups through artificial insemination, and they will lead separate, fulfilling lives. Everyone's happy.

But there's more to Aeryn than meets the eye, and day after day, Art falls deeper into the spell cast by bouncing curls, milky moonlit skin and a soft, submissive heart.
Just as balance is restored in Art's life, the past returns to hurt those she loves the most.

This is my first ff romance and I wasn't disappointed 😭

I knew this book was going to be great the minute I started to feel really single because of the chemistry between the two characters 😮‍💨🤌🏾

This has disability rep which is also amazing!!

"Just as I was about to drift away, I heard, "Mine."
The languid word was followed by a deep, hazy sigh.
It echoed through my cinnamon-scented dreams as I let sleep take me.

I am yours, Aeryn Sweetwater."

Ahhhh, they are so perfect! I love them so much!

Aeryn Sweetwater my kind and soft Queen! Who has been through so much but stays strong and loving through it all. And Artemis Brimwood who is firm yet so gentle and who tries so hard to stay tough through all her own grief and trauma.

Their worlds collide through a forced arranged marriage and we follow them through a heartachingly beautiful slow-burn romance, where they both learn to let go of their trauma and heal through their growing love for each other.

I cannot fully put into words how amazing this story was. The pacing was incredibly well done, the prose is captivating, all the side characters, political intrigue, and plots were engaging and I was consistently grasping for more. More of this world, of these characters, of Aeryns and Artemis' tense and heat-filled dynamic.

Lily X does a great job of integrating difficult issues and topics like the grief of a passed partner, an eating disorder, and abuse from a parent into this love story. And loved how they slowly started to become a safe space for each other to allow for their pasts to become their strength instead of weaknesses.

Like oh my goodness!! Artemis taking the time to feed Aeryn, and take care of her through her ED recovery, Artemis making sure that Aeryn writes a positive affirmation every day about herself, and Aeryn always trying to remind Artemis that it's okay to not always be strong, that Aeryn will be there to catch her too, Ahhh they are just too good!!

And when they are finally intimate, ahhhhh I was kicking my feet and giggling!! It was so sweet and passionate, and I loved how they were able to find a way to find stability and safety through their sexual intimacy.

They just found so much happiness with each other and it makes me....🥰☺️💞

This was probably more ramble than anything, but I'm just so obsessed with them, I want five more books just following them and their family.

"'I never thought I could be happy again, my Ryn," she confessed, her heart in her eyes. "Thank you for giving me everything I never knew I needed."
My chest rumbled with a contented purr and I pressed myself flush against her side.
Yours, I thought. Always and Forever."

5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟!!!!

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. The gender-bending took a bit to wrap around my head (and it does need a lot of suspension of disbelief), but once I got that out of the way, I just thoroughly enjoyed the characters, story, and the whole fantastital world this author has created.

Really cute(and steamy🫣)

I really enjoyed Art and Ryan's story. The story line and both characters mental health struggles was so encapsulating, and real. Often times when eating disorders or grief are covered in novels it feels romanticized. I appreciated the author's depiction of the battle between wanting to get better, not feeling worthy of it, and conflicting narratives of what a person should be(to make them more appealing). This is the first omegaverse book I've read that has depicted pregnancy complications. The steam was 🤌🤌🤌🤌(wish there was mooooore but also I'm a perve). My only really critique was I wasn't a huge fan of how certain characters just fell off from the story. What happened to Hannah, what about Yogi? I wish we got a scene where Ryn stands up to her mother after the pregnancy complication. Did Nova get treatment? I am really looking forward to what this author produces next!!! Until the next book I will just have to binge read all of her other books🤷

Spice level 3000! I loved the will they/won't they tension between the two main characters. I LIVED for the romance and sexual tension brewing between them, and the secondary characters are weird and cute too. It is sosososo hard to find original stories for omegaverse, especially wlw, so I treasure this read. 5 stars, would thoroughly recommend.

Reread book November 26 ,2024. Seen a couple of TikToks about it on my FYP recently, so decided to reread it. And I must say, honestly, this book is 5/5 ⭐️, so I’m changing my rating from 4.5 ⭐️.

Nice book, lovely story. "Let Me Be Yours" is a solid 3.5 to 4 stars rating, in my opinion. [sidenote: I did took a/an hiatus on the two books I've been "currently-reading",which is why it took me a bit longer to finish this one.]
Likeable, Lovable Main Characters! Likeable, loveable -and charming- side characters (Hana was my downfall *swoon*). While some might find Artemis a bit too frivolous, I really really liked her 🤗. Btw, loved the "progressive-society talk". A villainous MC mother (basically - not a spoiler but still one,?), who adds a lot to the story's drama. A few side-side character introductions (because this is a series) that will be important in the other books...

Regarding world-building, I wish there were more a few details provided, since there are boats/ships, e-reader, so there's obviously technology. On that note, I was halfway through the book and still couldn't quite place it in a specific technological era. It has a mix of medieval vibes, yet many aspects remain open to interpretation. Perhaps it's leaning toward a steampunk? So, to my sometimes basic brain, the era isn't entirely clear, but there's potential for more clarity in future books.

Great chemistry between the MCs and great character-development (in general). Lovely and beautiful intimate scenes, although it could be considered a bit of a slow burn (spoiler-alert: ). However, the pacing feels just right 😎 😏.

Important triggers (that some will inevitably be spoilers - though no major spoiles), there's: . Aeryn's is well written, since is an extremely sensitive subject, and I felt it was very well executed and respected.

The writing is of high quality, and I'm definitely interested in exploring more of this author's work.! Although I'm always reticent to read Omegaverse books, this one being my first F/F in the omegaverse, "Let Me Be Yours" was a great read! What's even better, is that it avoids my MAJOR!, like major major turn-off for me OFTEN found in Omegaverse stories, is when a character says this ridiculous clichéd line: "I'm going to fill you with my pups" or "Fill me with your pups" - which makes me cringe and 🤮 , or something in that nature. Fortunately that did NOT happen!! Though the "pups theme" is a recurring one.

In conclusion, 'Let Me Be Yours' offers great writing and a lovely story. I'm looking forward to continuing with the series and exploring more of this author's work. However, I should note that this is an Omegaverse book, a genre primarily for those who enjoy reading Omegaverse dynamics.

I LOVED this. It gave me plot, it gave me growth, it gave me SEX. Like this was the whole package for me and I loved every second of it. I’m so so sad to see the next installment isn’t until the summer. How am I going to make it that long?

Lily, if you see this and need a beta reader? I AM HERE FOR YOU 😂

This isn’t my typical review style but I truly don’t have much to say about this other than read it. It is well written and 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ hot, so if f/f Omegaverse is your thing (which there should be more of in my opinion) this one is a winner.

First Omegaverse

Wow!!! This was my first omegaverse book I’ve read and I loved it so much!!! The arranged marriage and the relationship that comes from that is so sweet and the yearning and tension, the spice?! Amazing all of it! I highly recommend and can’t wait to read all the other books in the series!

Damn.So it was kinda hot ngl, except the part where Ryn starts doing sexual things to Art while ART IS SLEEPING 🤦‍♀️

I hate the fact that I've read too many time the words "my Alpha " ,I cringed everytime, it was too overused.

I hated their relationship, there is no reason for Ryn to be this disparate for Art,she has no self respect, she is always the one making the moves, all Art does is acting immature, avoid her and then give her the bare minimum🤦‍♀️like I know damn well that dick ain't that good

We got too much time skips, there a lot of scenes I wanted to see ,but we only know that they happened, and not how,it was DRAGGING

I'm definitely going to read Thea's book 👩‍🦯and I'm in love with Hana,I hope she gets her book with an Omega🤞😪

The premise: King Artemis is grieving her dead mate and does not want to marry, but she is forced into it by her mother. Aeryn Sweetwater is a good political match, but she is essentially a stranger to Artemis. They start their marriage with an agreement to live their own lives separately but it is so fun to watch Art try to set boundaries with Aeryn and FAIL!

This is definitely a slow burn book for those who like that genre. It is also based in a fantasy setting with a monarchy (duh).

DNF at 74%.

While the story idea as such isn't all that unusual the world building is a bit all over the place, but the worst s the fact, that most of the ddescribed sex scenes in my opinio are much better suited for heterosexual erotica than a lesbian romance. Not my cup of tea.

Art and Ryn had me locked in from the start. There's so much to unpack in this omegaverse that was full of world building and character development. I really enjoyed the commentary on designations. Even in a progressive world, there's still oppression. How can Art be an effective leader when tradition can be harmful and knowing to balance the 2. Friendship is crucial and I hope Ryn finds her friends outside of Art/family. I'm invested in the world so I'll be continuing in the series.

Ohhhhhhh boy. This writer can write steamy scenes that will make you blush for entire chapters. I love the A/B/O dynamic and yup, GP stands at attention throughout the whole book. I enjoyed the plot twist and turmoil. Mates, grief, loss, love, lust, betrayal.... this book has everything. The Alpha is kind and gentle while being a fair ruler, the omega finds her voice and her passion as she's pulled into her Alpha's scent and phew- the Royal couple they become!? Fabulous. I cannot wait for book 2!!!!!!!

this was tender and tantalizing. i won't lie, i thought it would be redundant, but it was quite the contrary. i could feel the chemistry between aeryn & artemis cumming off the pages, pun very intended. i enjoyed the characters here very much, and connected with aeryn's sympathy towards the antagonist towards the end. especially knowing she suffered from mental illness triggered by such a devastating & traumatic life altering event. i really have no notes.

the little taste i just read of thea & jaid is... chef's kiss. i almost broke my neck running to book two.

Beautiful story of love, lost and love again. I loved this story! Artemus and Aeryn are complex characters and I loved seeing them grow through out the story. Aeryn was the sweetest. My heart broke over and over again for this sweet and strong woman (Omega). I also loved that this story focused on the strength of omegas as well as the tenderness of Alphas. This is the first book I have read from this author but it will definitely not be my last.
