*Cry Wolfe* is a fantastic start to what promises to be an entertaining mystery series. From the very first chapter, the story captures the atmosphere of classic detective fiction with smoky bars, dangerous secrets, and a private investigator who is impossible not to like.
James Talbot is a compelling lead. His sharp instincts and determination keep the mystery moving, while the murder of Tawni Wolfe quickly raises the stakes and pulls the reader into a web of lies and deception. Every new clue made me want to keep reading to find out what really happened.
I especially enjoyed the noir atmosphere. The setting feels vivid, the dialogue is engaging, and the mystery unfolds at just the right pace without revealing too much too soon.
If you enjoy classic detective stories with memorable characters, unexpected twists, and a strong sense of suspense, *Cry Wolfe* is well worth picking up. I am looking forward to reading more of James Talbot's investigations.
