In the sleepy town of Holsom… something just woke up! Everyone always thought ol' Horatio Holsom was a little crazy. But no one suspected the truth until four kids accidentally discover Horatio’s secret underground laboratory—-complete with a 12-foot tall guardian robot!
These books are one of the cores of my childhood and rereading them (or rerere... I don't know how many times I've read these XD) gave me the same experience.
The artwork is so pretty and the story is phenomenal. It has real issues in real life and shows them realistically. The characters grow through their struggles, some have redemption arcs, but there isn't a "happily ever after" for everyone. I appreciate that because in real life, there isn't always a good ending. It breaks my heart, but for some people, they will walk through life depressed, making awful choices, and die in their sin. That's hard to accept, but it's the truth. So, anyway, I love how the writers handled everything.
This book is so tattered from all the reading from me and my siblings, and not taking care of it. XD But, oh, how much we loved them.
Ordered the whole series of comic books online for the kids for Christmas & they've been loving them. They love graphic novels/comic books anyway & I love the Christian message.
