Willow Shorts has told herself the same thing for years – she doesn’t want a divorce. But deep down she knows there’s more to life than laundry and loneliness. Her husband, Charlie, had promised to give up his workaholic ways this summer. But it’s been months, and nothing has changed.
In an act of desperation, Willow leaves her husband a note, drives south through the night, to stay at her best friend’s summer cottage on Sanibel Island.
The first few days are filled with sandy streets, sunshine and crystal blue water, just as she imagined. It’s only after 4 days have passed that she realizes Charlie hasn’t called, and no one has seen him since the night she left.
What began as an ideal getaway, quickly becomes a desperate search to find her missing husband. When a local cop, Tommy Rodgers, gets assigned the case, he’s determined to solve it quickly and move on. But it appears there’s a lot Charlie wasn’t telling Willow.
The more secrets Willow uncovers, the less she wants to know. And just as her entire life starts to crumble, Tommy realizes he is the only one who can save her from ruin.
This beachside mystery romance is full of secrets, truths and unforeseen love that will keep you curious and wanting more.
This is Book 2 of 6 in the Florida Secrets series.
I have given this 1 star as I dont like reading part of a story then get charged another fee to continue with same story! Write the whole story and then put a price on it. I wont be reading any more books from this author !!
June Woods is showing me again why I don’t like serial stories, I’m too impatient to wait for the next book. More questions, still few answers, and I’m confused over who is who. Obviously Charlie isn’t really Charlie, is Mark really his brother? If he is, does he know what is going on? Like I said, I’m too impatient for all this waiting. I can’t wait for the next installment.
Book 1 and 2 should be combined into one book. Book 1 was a terrible stopping place. Book 2 was better. A few twists were finally added. Hopefully there are more in the rest of the books. I think 6 books could have been condensed into 3. I also found a lot of errors ranging from punctuation, typos, to run on sentences.
This was part two and this one picks up where the last one left off. Willow still haven’t heard anything from her husband and things is not adding up to everyone’s story about him. This is definitely a mysterious read
Willow is searching for information on her husband. With the help of her friend, Brandi and teen loner Richy, can she find what she is looking for? Is het husband Charlie, a crook?
Where are the proof readers? Too many grammatical errors, misspellings and improbable scenarios. Writing seems rushed as if the author us trying to reach a deadline and is not checking her work.
