For many young people, their first work experience gives them a taste of life outside the cocoon of family, school, and friends. This powerful and diverse collection of stories demonstrates how young people change and define themselves by the work they do. Compiled by noted critic and editor Anita Silvey and featuring the work of such authors as Michael Dorris, who contributed an original story, Ray Bradbury, Judith Ortiz Cofer, and Tim Wynne-Jones, this collection will cause readers of all ages to reflect on the role of work in their lives.
i thought it was a good book being that short stories are my favorite. it was easy to get through and understand which also helped because i am not a big fan of reading. im not sure which one was my favorite because they were all creative and interesting to read.
