Rate this book
Lucy Bluebell is a quiet young witch working in a magic shop in her busy town, trying to keep it running after her parents retired. She keeps to herself, avoiding most people after an unkind warlock broke her heart. She has a wish, however: to meet a kind, caring man, who’ll always love and cherish her. Someone she can love with her whole heart. Someone safe who she can rely on.

Warren Lewiston is embroiled in a dark plan and needs Lucy’s help, even though he knows he’s putting her in danger. His goal is to save his friend Sarah; his enemy Saxton will release her only if the plan goes off without a hitch. Warren has to work with Saxton, doing what he asks, or Sarah will never be free.

But then things get messy. Lucy and Warren become hunted. Saxton becomes more threatening. Warren realizes he may lose his friend while endangering a woman he’s falling for. Lucy thinks she’s falling in love with a man who loves another. No one knows who will survive.

In the end Lucy doesn’t know if she’ll ever get her wish.

So he's gonna do anything to save Sarah even giving his life for her, he loves her so much "as a sister", she's his only friend, knew her forever.. And then comes Lucy, he falls for her at fist sight, so now she's gonna help him even if she's so jealous of Sarah but he really loves her just like a sister!! Now Lucy must help him save Sarah without giving himself because she loves him but noo!! Sarah is already dead and now he blame himself and think that he don't deserve Lucy so he broke her heart (poor thing!!) but she still loves him so she saved him, then Sarah is resurrected instead of his devil father, and oooh Sarah is his sister "half sister", and he need to get back to Lucy, he loves her and he broke her heart.. And he read her wish and he'll always love her and protect her even if he's not all the things in the wish!!

LoL if it wasn't really short I'd hate wasting my time reading it -_-
Just STUPID!!

"Lucy's Wish" is a lovely book that I really liked reading. The action of the book has Lucy as the main character. I thought that Lucy was a lovely girl and felt sorry for her at the beginning since she was feeling quite lonely and life had also been a little hard on her.

Lucy is a young witch who owns her parents' shop. She loves working there but at the same time she feels the lack of something...she wants something more from life and someone to be there by her side.

The book opens with Lucy's wish and, as the action progresses, her wish seems turn into reality...but for how long and is this what she really wished for?

The apparition of Warren in the story makes the plot develop and flower. His deep secret is making Lucy want to know more about him but she decides that he is too dangerous for her. But it seems that danger and curiousity make this book get new wings and fly the reader into a world where magic, romance and the battle between good and evil encounter.

Like always, I really liked the fact that although this is a small novella, a perfect book to read when you feel like relaxing, the author kept me informed with the needed details about the characters. The story was well made, not rushed and I really enjoyed Lucy's development and her revealing of the strenght that was hidden inside her soul. Though she always seems to be a strong person, Lucy also needs someone she could hold onto, someone who could comfort her, someone worth fighting for.

The secondary characters of the book, Sarah and Saxton, oppose one another in more that one way: one is evil, one is good, one is alive and one is dead...

While I was getting nearer to the ending of this book I was surprised for a few times with turns of events that I did not expect, so more pluses for this read. [:

Readers who know Hanna's writing style will love this first book of a new series!

Quotes:
"Lucy stared at him, at the pain in his eyes, and felt her heart break in two. She quickly looked away, feeling tears form in her eyes. Don't cry in front of him. She just felt so emotional - he was so distraught. He was so concerned for her, and so concerned for Sarah."

"Warren undid the latch on the gate, then pushed it open, a loud creek announcing their presence. The sky above them was cloudy in the middle of the day, only adding to the dark feeling in Warren's heart. He didn't want to be there. He wanted to take Lucy somewhere and not look back. But he had no choice."

"Warren stared at Saxton a moment longer, then transported out of the house. He kept transporting until he arrived back at Martha's home, but he didn't go inside. He stood in the cold and dark, leaning his hands against the wall, taking deep breaths. With pain in his hearth, he realized everything was different now. The future he'd imagined was gone. All of it."

The author has written a short but sweet romance with Lucy’s Wish. Lucy is a young witch, running her parents’ magic shop after they retired. She keeps to herself. A thoughtless warlock broke her heart recently, and Lucy hasn’t totally recovered from that, if she ever will totally recover that is. Lucy has a wish: to meet a kind, caring man, who’ll always love and cherish her. Someone she can love with her whole heart. Someone safe whom she can rely on. Warren Lewiston has a dark need, to provide items for a dark magic ritual to Saxon, though he would prefer not to, to rescue his childhood friend, Sarah, whom Saxon holds captive. These two meet and become embroiled in Warren’s task. The author has woven a tale of love, deceit and magic, including the so-called dark magic. How the author has these two kindred souls work their way through a myriad of twists and turns to a finale is fascinating. The author has managed to capture the essence of their love and of magic and its operations, both dark and white/good, in this short book/novella. I normally do not read this genre of book, but thoroughly enjoyed this one. I was immediately pulled in by the author from the very beginning. I became someone totally engrossed in Lucy’s and Warren’s adventure. The ending was both short and sweet. This is a great book for anyone who loves reading about magic, witches and warlocks and spells as well as for anyone looking for a short reprieve from the normal cop chases and kills bad guy book so readily available today. The romance between Lucy and Warren and how her wish plays into it is one more reason to read the book. I received this from Library Thing to read and review.

This author had me hooked from the very beginning with this one. She developed a magical fantasy world that was larger than life. This well written novella takes you away with an extremely imaginative tale. Her intricately crafted and very vivid descriptions allow you to walk through this powerful story alongside the characters. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters in this tale as well. Hanna’s subtle character development shines through, allowing each individual to stand out in their own right without overpowering the story as a whole.

This is a brilliant introduction to Hanna’s new series and was definitely an enjoyable read. It is probably my favourite novella from Hanna yet.

I am so caught up in the story - I wish there was more now. This is such a magic filled story with love thrown in. The author again delivers as with her other books. This is definitely one of my favorite authors. She has such a unique style and her storylines are flawless. The characters are created in such a way that you are endeared to them from the start. Can't wait to read more from the author!"

Lucy Bluebell is the young proprietor of her parents’ magic shop in a time and place that is not here and now. She writes a “wish” on paper itemizing her dream fellow. Shortly thereafter she is approached about some magic items required for a spell that is illegal and the story begins in earnest. This story includes magic, good and evil, romance and characters that are interesting. I believe this is a good story and would be appropriate for YA audiences and adults alike.

Interesting love story with magic binding the characters. I liked the story but I'm not sure I'll be continuing with this series. I would rate this a 2.5 if I could.
