This book as lots of suspense, romance, humor, and Christian content such as prayer and the assurance of heaven after death.
I received a free advance copy of this book. My review is voluntary and unbiased.
I enjoyed this book. There was romance, suspense and small town people. I have enjoyed all of the books in this series. They are all different. This book was about the sheriff and a newcomer. The newcomer is mistakenly taken for a criminal because they are similar in appearance. She endures suspicion and people constantly calling for her to be arrested. The sheriff finally believes her, but he has a hard time convincing the town's people that Christine really is the new veterinarian and not the criminal they take her for. She insists in helping catch the bad guys which scares the sheriff who is afraid she will be hurt or killed. There is a sample of the next book in the series which looked very interesting. I can't wait to read it.
A vet who looks like a criminal and the town is on the lookout for her. It is difficult for Christine to convince them she is not the same person. Tim is the sheriff of a small town that has been assaulted by an outlaw for a while. She is like a nightmare and always on the run. Only he has noticed the differences between Christine and Beatrice, the outlaw. A story packed with action, mystery and even fun at the end. However, there are some answers unresolved, for example, why was the problem between Catherine and her father? What happened with the disappeared deputy? It was a well-written book that was very entertaining. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the first book by Brooks Wright that I read. The interesting plot kept me engaged throughout the story with just the right amount of suspense, action, and romance. Christine and Tim were good, relatable characters whom I enjoyed reading about. I liked how Christine was determined to stick it out despite the obstacles and forgave without resentment.
This story is a good fit for you if you are interested in Christian fiction with a mistaken identity, new beginnings, small town happenings, and a reserved slow burn romance with a happily ever after in less than 200 pages.
I look forward to reading the rest of the Destination Love series.
This book encompasses a myriad of emotions, never saw it coming scenarios and hopes for a happily ever after. But could Christine overcome her strong resemblance to a local outlaw? Would Tim, the local sheriff, be able to convince not just the town, but himself she was truly Christine, there to take over her father’s veterinarian practice? A story to keep you on your toes, wondering what else could possibly transpire!
While this book totally stands alone, it’s similar in style to book 2 in this series, so if you enjoyed that one, for sure read this one! I have enjoyed all the books in this series. There’s a nice blend of action, intrigue, romance, a little humor, and it’s a fast paced read.
What an explosive story. I was so engrossed by the story that it made me wonder what was going to happen next. The suspense of two characters that looked so much like each other kept me intrigued. A great small town setting with lots of rumors flowing made it even more interesting. A definite book worth reading.
The romance the main couple traverse is complex. There's plenty of action, adventure, and conflict around them, with her at the center. He's attracted but holds back due to his job. That part of the story was very well written. There was snappy dialogue in fits and starts between dealing with the bad-guy drama.
The mystery and policing part was action-filled and probably not following correct police procedures but was engaging. This is my voluntary review of a copy I received from the author.
Christine came to town to reopen her father's veterinary clinic only to be mistaken for an outlaw and spending her first day on Sheriff Tim's jail. After a beginning like that, how could Tim ever forget her?
I have never read anything by this author before, but it was a decent read. I liked the main characters and plot, and the suspense angle was pretty good .
