In order to get into heaven, the ghosts of two lovers must bring their descendants together, despite the interference of the Devil, a wicked widow, a French privateer and a ghost dog who likes sugared almonds. This nonstop tale of intrigue, suspense and humor overlays the romance of Henrietta and Marcus. Another great Regency, just like every other Sandra Heath book I've read.
Cute story with likable characters. The ghostly element was kinda fun but there were some characters that were designed to be funny yet came off as just silly. Still, the romance plot was strong -- reminiscent of Romeo and Juliet and I was very glad when they finally found their happily ever after.
