I'm pretty sure this was my second time reading this book (first time would have been YEARS ago), but unfortunately I didn't care for it all that much this time around. The mystery was okay, but I didn't love the characters or writing style. I've read other Robin Caroll novels and loved them, so I do like her books usually. All in all, an okay read.
We have another great mystery by Robin Carol. I loved the storyline, the intriguing characters and the Bayous. This book is recommended for those who love Christian romantic suspense.
This was a very enjoyable read, and an exciting end to this Bayou series. An excellent combination of suspense, intrigue and romance with great characters. A five star read!
Really enjoyed each of the 6 books in this series. Loved the setting was in the bayou of Louisiana. Each book was well written and loved the characters.
Have to admit I wasn't a huge fan of this hero. I didn't like (especially considering his job!) how quick he was to write off a teenager especially also how he got in trouble for downloading music illegally. I mean really? I know kids involved in drugs who turned their life around but you're willing to write this kid off over pirating music. Um ok. He admits to his mistake but it left a bad taste in my mouth. Based on that I can't give better rating. I give it a 3 mainly based on my overall love for this series.
