Peada is no different than any other senior at Shuttley High. She’s trying to make it to class and put forward enough effort in gym class not to fail, except for one very important she’s a vampire. It’s brand new information for her. Kind of like finding out you’ve got a food allergy after eating something you’ve enjoyed all your life makes you puke. But the way she finds out –just barely preventing herself from attacking the school crush Bastien Suirre in his home – is too much for any formerly normal girl to take. Bastien wanted his magical abilities like most people want a head cold, not at all. But he’s always been interested in Peada. When he finds out she’s a vampire, he feels comfortable sharing his own secret – he’s a hereditary witch. The one who almost burned down the new annex at school? Of course it was an accident, he assures her, and fortunately she believes him. Unfortunately for them both, they have more problems to deal with than navigating high school with paranormal abilities rooted in blood and magic. There is a warlock on the loose who has plans for them that neither one could have bargained for.
