He was more than obsessed. He was lost in her. And if he didn't stay away, while he could, he knew that Jasmine would never be free of him.

I've been waiting for Drake's book since first meeting him in Mine to Keep. Nothing better than a broken, brooding alpha male that suffered the ultimate betrayal. I couldn't wait to meet the woman that would bring him to his knees. Maybe the problem was that I set my hopes too high? I'm not sure. But for whatever reason, this book didn't quite live up to my expectations.

Like the rest of the Mine series, this book carries that possessive to the extent of obsession theme. The problem is that I didn't understand the connection between Drake and Jasmine in the beginning.

Draka had almost lost his life TWICE due to a betrayal by a woman he trusted in the past. And that betrayal almost cost him everything. The man he is now is hard, cold, and doesn't trust anyone. A successful owner of a casino, all Drake wants from his evenings is to find a woman so he can lose himself between her thighs for the night and move on to the next one. Until he spots her...

Jasmine is at Drake's casino on a mission. As sexy as the man might be, she can't afford to get distracted from her job. She needs to steal information and move on. But her mission suddenly takes a detour the second she gets into his office.

Here's where things got a little muddy for me. Drake catches Jasmine in the act of trying to steal from him. He knows that she isn't who she says he is, and he's determined to get to the bottom of it. But he's also feeling an incredible sexual pull towards the woman, no matter her duplicitous behavior.

When Drake discovers that nothing was in fact stolen, he lets Jasmine go. But he's also determined to get answers to his question about what information she was after and who she's working for. He follows her, saves her from an attacker, and then forces her home with him. Did I mention that he also still wants to sleep with her and protect her?

The woman just broke into your files, you saw her on cameras trying to steal from you, yet you allow her into your home? What proceeded to happen was a game of "I want you, but I don't trust you. I'll take you, but I still don't trust you". Drake pushes, so Jasmine pulls back. Then Jasmine pushes and Drake pulls back. I'll admit I was somewhere between thinking it's hot and being annoyed. I can't decide which I was more.

As per usual Cynthia Eden fashion this book was fast paced, action filled, and steamy. Drake and Jazmine may have not have had the best communication, but the sexual chemistry between them was scorching.

The one thing that I loved about Cynthia's previous books is this constant state of WTF is going on that you have reading her books. You think the story is headed one way then BAM, she throws the mother of all plot twists your way. That wasn't the case here. You know pretty much right away who the bad guy is and why he's after them. There's not much guess work there aside from wondering how all these people are related.

Who is Jasmine really? What is Victor's connection to Jasmine? How will they escape when the killer has them in their sight? But there was none of that plot twist that you don't see coming, unless you count the whole Noah revelation.

I enjoyed this new addition to the Mine series, but it wasn't my favorite. I still got my Cynthia Eden fix, so I can't complain. I guess I just wanted a little bit more. Luckily there's another book planned, and I can't wait to find out who's next.

"There was a danger in loving too much. When you loved too much, you had too much to lose."

Mine to Crave is the fourth book in the Mine-series by Cynthia Eden and once again, it was a sexy, suspenseful, thrilling ride that kept surprising me until the end. Ever since I met Drake in the previous books of the series I was intrigued by him and excited to find more about this tortured bad boy. And after having read the story, I like him even more! That in combination with a strong, feisty heroine made for a very interesting, unique couple.

Drake Archer has been lied to and cheated on by many women in his past but the ultimate betrayal, the last woman who left him broken and whose blood he now has on his hands, has made him decide to never trust another woman again. In his book, woman aren't to be trusted. They're to be used as an enjoyable pastime and nothing more. No feelings, and definitely no love will ever be part of his future when it comes to women again.

But then he meets Jasmine Bennett, a woman whose entire life is built on secrets and lies. From the moment he meets her, he feels an undeniable attraction to her. But being with someone like her would mean breaking his own vow to never let a woman rule his heart again.

"Her secrets. Her lies. He just wanted her."

But secrets from both their pasts come back to haunt them and threaten to ruin whatever slim chance of a future they might have together. Will Drake be able to protect them both from not only the loss of their future together but the the loss of their life all together?

"Drake wasn't a deadly threat. He was a hero, the man just didn't realize it. She did."

Drake and Jasmine made for a very explosive, unique couple and despite their differences they were both searching for exactly the same thing in their lives, a place to belong. That's what made them complement each other so perfectly. Still, I personally enjoyed Trace and Skye and Noah and Claire's stories just a little more. There was no cliffhanger at the end of the story. And the author announced there will be a next, fifth story in the series. I'm already anxious to find out who that might be about…

Release date: March 10th 2014.

Life’s a gamble.

Drake is a man, who is haunted by his past; a man who takes what he wants but after a very hard lesson he has lived his life with one rule, never trust a pretty face. Jasmine is not a woman to trust, Drake can see the secrets she hides when he looks into her eyes, but something about her keeps calling out to him, even though he just should turn and walk away.
He looked at her, and he ached. He touched her, and he craved.

Drake was supposed to be a means to an end, but she never counted on the man himself, taking her by surprise making her wish that her life was different. She gave up hope of a better life a long time ago, now trying to right the wrongs of her past but something about Drake makes her want to believe again. With the same enemy out to get them, Drake wants Jasmine to stay and fight together knowing that the moment she leaves his side he will never see her again.
“Princess, it’s not about trust. Because I don’t trust anyone.”

Secrets, passion and thrills, Jasmine doesn’t want to risk anyone else getting hurt because of her but the stubborn man won’t take no for an answer. Drake is in denial with the reasons as to why he is helping Jasmine, it isn’t because he feels something for this stubborn-feisty-red head. With some pretty close calls, can they save each other not just from harm but a life of loneliness???

Mine to Crave was a lustful-thrilling novel, talk about the past coming back to haunt you. Blindsided by lust, one things for sure Drake and Jasmine weren’t prepared for each other. This can be read as a stand-alone, it is the fourth in the series but I didn’t have any trouble jumping in and getting lost in the story. There was a lot happening in the book and I was kept wondering what was gonna happen next, I almost didn’t realize it was an insta-lust kinda book until I was done reading it and thought back.

Both Drake and Jasmine have serious trust issues and it took a while for them to have not only faith in themselves but each other; stubborn characters usually tend to need some extra coaxing to finally come around. Their trust issues just made you want to root for them all the more, they secondary characters were somewhat a pain to deal with, particularly a certain agent, but it just added to the drama. You won’t regret reading this, especially if you’re looking for a steamy read that will keep you fully entertained.

Unfortunately, this one didn't live up to the expectations of this series.

I'll keep this simple and to the point. The Cynthia Eden suspense that I've come to expect with this series was here, but felt watered down. Still enjoyable, but I missed the usual OOMPH her stories have. Even her big "holy shit!" twist was predictable.

But my biggest letdown was the romance. I felt zero chemistry between Drake and Jasmine. Their insta-connection didn't work for me...I didn't get it. I felt no sexual tension, no heat...no real passion between the two of them. I read the words, but didn't get any of the emotion behind it. And speaking of the words, the overuse of italicized cheesy proclamations drove me nuts. Especially from Drake. He's supposed to be a jaded, ex-military badass...instead we get an inner dialogue of cheesy observations and promises.

This was an okay read that didn't live up to its potential, but it won't stop me from continuing on with the series. The leading men for the next couple of books definitely has me intrigued.

Why did I wait so long to read a Cynthia Eden book? This one was perfect read for me. It had enough mystery, action and enough steam between Jasmine and Drake to keep things interesting.

I'll definitely be reading her back list and future titles. :)

Mine to Crave is the fourth book in the Mine-Series and though I didn’t love it as much as I expected to it was still a good read. I’m not reading this series in order, don’t ask me why, but for me it really doesn’t make it difference. You get enough of the back story with the relationships in the story so it is easy to understand the connection between the other characters in the book.

When Drake Archer and Jasmine Bennett meet there was no denying that instant attraction. Drake is not the kind of guy who wants or needs anything from a women other than hot sex. What happened to him in the past has left him jaded and weary of relationships. But when he sees Jasmine, he just reacts. There are some pretty HOT sex scenes with these two. Drake definitely takes what he wants, where he wants, when he wants and Jasmine had no problem with that.

But things with Jasmine are not that simple. As much as the attraction is there Jasmine is hiding things. Together Drake and Jasmine were intense. Their need and desire for each other was crazy. Drake fights the feelings he begins to have Jasmine, when all that Jasmine wants is nothing more than to feel wanted by him. But neither realized how the secrets from their pasts would come back to haunt them.

Drake was sexy, strong and your typical bad boy. He was also a guy that didn’t trust easily. After being with Jasmine slowly something within him changes leaving him wondering if it is only lust that he feels for her.

 photo imagejpg2_zps231de075.jpg
Well, he was dark and dangerous. Tanned skin. Tall and muscled, with broad shoulders that just stretched and stretched. Yum. ~ Jasmine

Jasmine is beautiful and intriguing. She didn’t have any easy life but she is a fighter. She has her secrets and her reasons for meeting Drake. Even with her secrets, she can’t deny the attraction she feels towards him. Giving in to her feelings she takes what she wants.

 photo imagejpg1_zpsfeb1147c.jpg
Then, because he couldn't help himself, because he wanted her and he was going to take exactly what he wanted, Drake turned Jasmine in his arms. He kissed her. Tasted the sweetness on her lips. Tasted the rain. ~ Drake

When secrets are revealed and lives are at risk things get a bit crazy. Someone from Drakes past is connected to Jasmine and let me just say shit hits the fan. As Drake and Jasmine are forced to make some tough choices, their future is put at risk. Drake’s instincts kick in but will that be enough.

Overall I thought this was a good read. There were a few twists that I didn’t expect but there were things that I found a little predictable. I thought Drake and Jasmine made a great couple. Each having their imperfections yet they fit well together. I thought ended was perfect too. Now that I have read book 3 and 4 I will definitely go back and read 1 & 2. I am looking forward to meeting Trace! :)

3.5 I wanted a bit MORE Stars!

I feel like I have waited for Drake Archer’s tale forever, especially since he has peaked my interest two books ago. He has always been in the background, waiting to be needed, fiercely loyal. Yet his past is quite traumatic. He has a fortress around his mind and heart and he trusts no one outside his two military brothers. For this reason, I was pretty shocked at how fast he fell for a mysterious red-head set out to deceive him.

Jasmine Bennett has had a rough life. Her saving grave is her brain. Computer hacker, “information thief,” whatever you call it, she is a bit of a criminal. Her latest target is no other than the unbreakable Drake Archer. Her best laid plan to seduce him, get her info, and escape unharmed are shot to hell as she has no idea how in over her head she is. Drake should be fuming mad, but instead he is completely intrigued by the lying woman. He wants information, but more than that, he wants her!

So begins the journey for Drake and Jasmine. Coming together passionately, consuming each other, and then pushing away any thoughts of emotion. No trust is found anywhere. The more Drake feels, the more Jasmine runs. It is hard to tell at any point who is playing who or even if people are who they claim to be. The only certainty is a common enemy stopping at nothing to ruin Drake and silence Jasmine permanently.

I felt this was a fast read in more than one way. Everything from the meeting of the characters to the progression of the story seemed to happen in just a blink of an eye. I really love the dynamic between Drake, Westin and Noah and I wanted more of it here. Especially with the connection of Noah and Jasmine that was revealed near the end. Drake is such a strong, messed up character that I wanted him to be more of jerk! I wanted him to make Jasmine work a bit harder to capture his heart, especially since his last lover tried to kill him twice! Also, I would have liked the big nemesis to be more mysterious and to have more of a twisted OMG moment. But, as I stated, this moved fast and without much mystery.

If you enjoy a good action packed romance with a bit of angst, protective hot angry men, and elevator sex, then this is a great read for you! Again, Cynthia Eden shows her ability to blend adrenalin pumping suspense with scorching hot scenes, and that I did enjoy!.

4 - Drake, Trace & Noah Stars!

I won’t lie; I have been waiting patiently for Drake to get his own book since we were first introduced to him in the Mine To Keep, I loved Noah and Trace as well, but there is something about his dark and elusive character that drew me to him, and has held me in its grip from the get-go. So here we are! Drake has gotten his book, and I have to say Cynthia Eden did not let me down, Mine to Crave, just like all of its predecessors grabbed me from the start and kept me entertained right up until it’s end.

You will know if you have read the previous books that to say Drake has a complicated past would be an understatement. Cheating with one of his best friend’s girls, and then subsequently killing her and losing his friend has left the man with scars, deep running and longstanding scars that have in effect shut him down on an emotional level. He doesn’t get involved, he takes what he wants, and moves on to the next willing woman without a backwards glance. Well that is until Jasmine Bennett grabs his attention, and he starts to see and feel things differently.

He looked at her, and he ached.
He touched her, and he craved.”

I have to say that in bearing in mind the above I did find the insta-connection he had with Jasmine was a little against character, but the story does also progress at breakneck speed, so it was in-keeping with it in that, and Drake has proved in the past that over protective and possessive are things that are just another part of his deliciously dark and dirty self.

Drake - “When we have sex, that’s for us. You and me, and no one else. Not ever.”

I really liked Jasmine as well, feisty, ready for a fight and not afraid to stand up for herself or protect those that she cared for, she stood up to Drake, and pushed back when she didn’t agree with his methods. I loved that in challenging him; he became even more possessive of her and determined to not let her out of his sight. Although the constant running and trying to escape could have gotten old really quickly, I liked that every time she did, and Drake caught up with her again, another piece of the puzzle then slotted together and their connection seemed to get deeper for it. I wish we had gotten too read more of Drakes “punishments” for the lies though!

Drake - “I know when you lie but the problem is... I don't seem to care.”

Cynthia Eden proves to me time and time again, with every book of hers that I read that she is an author that is not going to let me down. I love that you are never quite sure the direction that the story will take, and although I found this instalment a little more predictable than its predecessors I still really enjoyed it, as a series it pulls you in and keeps you on your toes from the beginning.

Great to read that this isn’t the final instalment, and I am intrigued too see where she plans on taking it seeing as the three main players (Trace, Noah and Drake) have all now had their stories, I wonder if the use of several of the secondary characters from this book (Saxon and Victor) will be bought into play...

3.5 Drake Archer Stars!

I love Drake Archer, he is a such a badass, and I have to admit I have been eagerly waiting for this book. The Mine Series is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITES and Cynthia Eden writes so AMAZING suspense stories.

Drake had some serious dark brooding going on in the other Mine books, so I was expecting some AMAZING THINGS, but I think out of all the books this was my least favorite. Don't get me wrong, it is so worth the read especially since I hope we get to learn more about Victor and Saxon from Jasmine's side of the story. I just think I had issues connecting with Jasmine and figuring out if she was truly a FBI contact, former agent, Snitch or what. I am still trying to sort some of that part out of the story.

Drake had some of his usual brooding and sexiness but I wanted him to be brutally RAW for some reason, but regardless I loved reading it and would pick it up and re-read it again with no worries. I have already re-read the other books in the MINE series and it is so good suspense wise. Also, seeing Noah again in this series and Trace just makes it all so much sweeter. Also, seeing Drake's walls crumble was amazing to read. Great book to add to a GREAT Series.

“I want to belong.” To some place. To somebody. She wanted a home. A real one. When the holidays came around, she wanted to bake cookies and state up at a Christmas tree and be held in the arms of a man who loved her.

She didn’t want to be alone forever.

“You can belong to me”.

Mine to Crave is the fourth book in author Cynthia Eden’s Mine series. While the series is sequential, this book does work as a stand-alone. If you like to read your books in order, you may want to start with Mine To Take, the first book in the Mine series. As a fan of the series, I recommend reading them all!

Betrayed by a past lover, Drake only pursues pleasure, not romance or love. He certainly not stupid enough to trust another woman, he learned his lesson a long time ago. But when he meets Jasmine, all bets are off. He doesn’t trust her, but he wants her…

He needed, he wanted, but he was the one always in control.
In business and in the bedroom, Drake knew how to dominate.

Yeah..works for me =)

Jasmine is sent to do a job but gets caught up in a web of desire and danger when she meets Drake. She knows she needs to keep her distance but finds it impossible to resist him. It’s not long before both Jasmine and Drake are embroiled in a fight to save their lives…

Mine to Crave uses the a similar formula as the other books in the series and since I’m a fan, it totally worked for me. Straightforward writing, an alpha male, instant attraction and a need to protect by a very sexy hero. Yep, this book had it all!

"When you touch me, I want to strip you. I want to take you. I want to make you scream my name."

I did find Mine to Crave more mysterious than the other books in the series. I wasn’t sure who Jasmine was really. Who did she work for? The good guys or the bad guys? What was her connection to Drake that was alluded to? Was she really sent to betray him? Would she?

As a huge Cynthia Eden fan and someone who has enjoyed the Mine series, I have been DYING to get my hands on Drake’s story and I wasn't disappointed. As always, the writing was simple but solid, the story fast paced, and had the right balance of suspense and romance. I don't think that I liked it as much as the previous books in the series but I still enjoyed it. I can't even pin down one thing I didn't like about it, something about the story I just didn't like as much, but still a solid four star read for me. I'm not sure what's next in this series. I'm hoping we find out more about Saxon but I'll guess we'll just have to wait and see. Whatever comes next, I know it will be on the top of my TBR list...for me, Cynthia Eden just never disappoints.

Well... I guess my first impression of this book needs an explanation.

It was Cheesy!! A wanna be erotica book, that only bordered erotica, and at the same time totally cheesy talking about who's pleasuring whom... Just over kill in that department. And, everyone had a hesitant stutter! For example, but not a quote: "Are you...Are you sure you want to do this?" And last, a woman who keeps saying she's not a whore, but meets a guy by trying to get him to sleep with her as a diversion. Well... First impressions you know. Don't get pissed when that's the impression you want to leave in the first place... Yes, there is a lot more to this story than I am letting on, but that was MY first impression of it all.

Sooo, besides the great big cheesy BS that ran through this story, it was actually a great read! I wish the meanness and scariness of some characters were played out more. They seemed just a sociopath, not psychopathic as they were supposed to be. So our main guy was the one with issues, not the villain.

This book was the third in a series about some men that did black ops together. These men are now very successful & rich meeting women they have to save. The first time they love someone. Drake in this book, owns casinos & clubs. He has an enemy who wants to crush him.

Jasmine is a nomad doing odd jobs as an information thief. She's working for someone who wants her to steal Drakes info. off of his computer. She gets caught, but she gets there by giving the blatant impression she's asking for the invite, plus says so directly to Drake, that she wants to sleep with him... I mean geez! Only because later she's mad he thinks & treats her like she's a whore. Her term not mine.

This all sounds negative, but besides my above quirks, it was a very entertaining action packed book! I will definitely read more. BUT PLEASE! Please quit the constant stutter & "pleasure" overkill.

I am a sucker for books in series. But hated that sometimes they came out pretty similar/identical to each other. It gets boring when you already know what to expect, because you've already read it in the previous books. Same ol' same ol' just different names and different places.

The bad guys wanted to hurt the heroine, the hero will save her no matter what, because somehow by some kind of magic SHE IS HIS.

"She is mine," he growled. Looks familiar? Yup. The exact same line in book #1. And book #2. And book #3. And this book too.

Getting tired by it, 2 STARS.

4 Stars and another great, fast paced read from the "Mine" series. Drake and Jasmine are a very well matched couple. The bad guys in Eden books are always very 'bad' and Maxwell Case was no exception. The twist from the past concerning Noah was a nice touch that added continuity to the story line of the series. Eden mentions another book for the series, but I'm not sure who is left to feature. Possibly Saxon? I hope it's not Victor, since I dislike him with a fiery passion;)

ARC received on behalf of Season Publishing from NetGalley.

The fourth book in the Mine Series by Cynthia Eden brings us the long awaited story of Drake Archer. The one that has been more lost than the rest, the one that made the mistake. When Anna Jean strikes out to claim revenge, it is her former lover that has blood on his hands. It's the man that doesn't forgive himself for sleeping with his friend's girl all those years ago and it's his lack of hesitation to end her life that haunts his nightmares.

Jasmine Bennett had a job to do. Get in, get close and get out. She didn't ask questions but she also paid attention to the details. Her target, the former military turned casino owner, Drake Archer. When she finds herself in his arms the job at hand is slipping further and further away. She was moments from getting everything she came for but finds herself walking away empty handed.

Suddenly their worlds are colliding when their past continue to cross into their future. Drake was not going to fall prey to a woman and her lies again, but he can't seem to let go of the fiery red head. He knows she is harboring secrets and his craving for her is ensuring that he no longer cares. She can lie, as long as he can make her his.

Cynthia Eden knows how to write a suspense romance! I have thoroughly enjoyed each of the books in this series and Drake's story just brought everything full circle and closure to the story. Both characters were broken in their own ways, both paying for crimes of the past - ones that played both the villain and hero roles. I loved that I was so easily able to like Jasmine's character. With both Skye & Claire we had much more time to know their story to understand it all, but Jasmine was just thrown in to the mix and was the absolute perfect match for a man like Drake. I loved how the author allowed a man that harbored such trust issues when it came to women to fall for the one woman he knew he couldn't trust. I loved watching the possessive alpha male come out of Drake as he tossed every plan out of the window when it came to keeping his distance. How, even when he was aggressive he was still gentle.

With the actual story line mixed with so many secrets and lies, it is difficult to really touch on too much of the actual plot besides the love story portion since it would give far too much away. But the way these two feel was beautiful and heartbreaking. When Drake finally faces his feelings and realizes that it might just be too late, it broke your heart. When he sees how much of a danger he is, because of who he is - it was heartbreaking. But this man had only so much strength, walking away once was hard - it was something that could ruin a man... but walking away twice... not likely.

I was worried that this would be the final story in the Mine Series, but it appears that we might just be getting another installment. I forget how much I love suspenseful romance until I read one. Trying to figure out all the players and the plot as you watch the love story unfold just adds a little more to the story and Cynthia Eden writes this style perfectly.

4.5

Drake Archer owns several casinos, and when he sees a redhead in the bar curl her finger at him, he's shocked and intrigued. He's above the casino floor in his office, looking through tinted glass, yet it's as if she can see him.

Jasmine needs to get into Drake's office. The only way he'll take her up there, is if she can convince him he wants her for the night. Drake is able to ignore her until he sees a big brute of a guy put his hands on her.

After he's saved her, he does bring her upstairs, and right on time, her distraction goes off. While Drake is gone, she runs to his computer. Jasmine is a thief. But when she doesn't actually steal from Drake, she puts both their lives in danger. And Drake isn't planning on letting her go until he figures out what the pretty little liar is into. And maybe not even then.

This book was intense and had my heart pounding from pretty much the first page. Jasmine isn't what she seems, but neither is Drake. Cynthia Eden uses her incredible skill to take the reader on a thrilling, heart-pounding adventure that you won't want to end. With her talent for creating characters you want to see more of, and villains you want to just die already, this is another fantastic addition to her Mine series.

I received this book from Netgalley for my honest review.

I liked this book better than the previous 3, but it still had the same flaws as the previous ones.

(For more see my reviews here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... and here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...)

Here we have Jasmine and Drake as MCs.

Jasmine is a very skilled hacker, but we don't see her skill in action, we are only told about it. She's also deternimed to flee Drake and here we have again the notion that Drake is safer without her (but I'm thinking: din't she looked at him???).

Drake has a bad case of insta-lust and soon after insta-love. He became obsessed with Jasmine as soon as he sees her.
He almost stalkes her with different excuses: she's a thief trying to steal information from him; she's in trouble and need saving... But we get immediately that he's fallen deep.

But even if all of this could seem like negative, it works here. I liked thier connection and they were hot together.
I appeciated that Jasmine was not a damisel in distress needing saving, but a strong woman.

Ms. Eden's writing style is still good and fast paced and, while the book had falts, she make it work! That's great!

I hope other books will come, because they're very easy to read!

The fourth book in the Mine series by Cynthia Eden. Jasmine Bennett is hired to collect information about billionaire Drake Archer. But Drake is suspicious and distrustful. At first it seems he isn't going to bite the hook. But when he sees the attractive red head having problems he steps up to the plate and rescues her. Now Jasmine is "in". But when the time comes to get the info she changes her mind. Meanwhile, the man who hire her knows she betrayed him and he is seeking revenge against both Drake and Jasmine.

I have really enjoyed this series and I loved this addition. We get to see both Trace and Noah again and we get Drake! I was looking forward to his story and although I wasn't sure about Jasmine at first I loved her too. I recommend this series to those who love Romantic Suspense with some spice.

Mine To Crave by Cynthia Eden

Mine To Crave is a fast paced romantic thriller. Be prepared for secrets and betrayal.

Jasmine Bennett is paid to do a job, and she has no problem betraying anyone to complete her task. That is until this latest job. She can’t do it, why is a mystery, but she turns on the person that hired her, even when it puts her in his crosshairs. He knows she tried to rob him, he saw her try, but he wants her. Wants her begging for him, crying out his name.

No one steels from Drake Archer. So when Jasmine Bennett tries to con him, she quickly learns that valuable lesson. As she tries to run from both Drake and her ex boss Maxwell, she finds herself in trouble deeper and more dangerous than she has ever been in. Will she survive? And can she get love even though she has betrayed him? Will he ever trust her? What secrets is she hiding? And can those secrets destroy those around her?

This book is action packed, with bombs, fire, and guns everywhere. The intimate scenes are very hot, loaded with spice. I liked the romance. Alpha male hotness all around.

Jasmine is by far my favorite female lead in this whole series up until now , Drake ... not so much , his character wasn't developped enough for my taste , I would've loved it better if they matched Jasmine with Trace , that would've been a definite 5 stars for me , nevertheless this was still highly enjoyable

My rating: 4 of 5 ⭐️

His wealth and and reputation as callous playboy casino magnate belie Drake Archer's sharply honed skills and instincts as an ex-Special Forces agent. Those same instincts tell him the gorgeous redhead in his casino, trying to draw his attention, is not his regular 'hook-up' fare. His suspicions are confirmed when despite his misgivings, he lets her get close and at first opportunity has her trapped into showing her true intentions.

Working under the guise of seductress, IT specialist Jasmine Bennett is supposed to distract the casino owner, while stealing secrets from his computer. She had not counted on a man with such a magnetic effect on her, nor had she thought he would catch on to her diversion. The game she plays is a dangerous one, and having met Drake, the last thing she wants is to put him in the line of fire.

Having been burned by the betrayal of a female before, Drake is determined to assert payback, but the more he gets to know Jasmine, the less he believes her to be cold and calculated. In fact, the hot-blooded redhead is firmly implanting herself under his skin. And even though she has exposed his sordid past, the danger it brings along, now faces Jasmine as well and he'll be damned if he will let anything happen to her on his watch.

****

Holy hotness!!
A cold and calculating ex-Special Forces agent, turns out to be not so cold after all!! Yowza!

Fourth book in the Mine Series, MINE TO CRAVE is a standalone novel, however, characters and events from the earlier books are referred to and part of this story. To get as complete an experience as possible, it would probably be helpful to read the prior novels as well, although it is not necessary.

I love Cynthia Eden..... I love her writing style, I love the genre and the balance she manages between action and hot romance. In her novels they don't take away from the other, they enhance immeasureably.

Drake is a man who has been burned in the worst possible way. He probably was not someone who trusted easily to begin with, but when a mistake on his part resulted in a domino effect of disasters, all because of the siren lure of one betraying woman, the entire gender was tainted in his mind. And yet, despite the early confirmation of his suspicions of Jasmine, his heart allows him to look beyond the black and white and for the first time, consider the grey areas in life.

Jasmine, although brilliantly intelligent, is fairly naive when it comes to self-preservation. She has had her "family" taking care of that and has no reason to doubt they want what is best for her. The fact that at times they might have alterior motives, doesn't even occur to her. Drake is the first person she knows who would willingly give up anything and everything for her protection, despite the predicament she has put him in. She has never felt such safety.

An intricate build up of the plot, with a large number of suprising twists that keep the reader guessing and on the edge up to the very end. Adrenaline-pumping action and smoking hot chemistry, make this a very exciting read!

⭐️Highly stimulating, fiery & charged roller-coaster ride!✨

Mine to Crave is Drake's story.. and it is a story like none other. Each story has it's unique element and Drake's bad boy image gets shot to hell.. Finally Drake meets his match.

Jasmine Bennett has a mission, get in get the job done and get out. Only question is.. how? She needs to get into Drake Archer's inner sanctum but before she can set her plans in motion a thug bounty hunter tries to take her captive. Fortunately, this works in Jasmine's favor and captures Drake's attention. Now for the hard part.. to seduce or not to seduce. Jasmine had no clue that it was even an option. Sparks fly from the beginning but Jasmine has a job to do and must use all her abilities to get it done.

Drake Archer, trusts no one except his two best friends.. brothers in arms. And they have earned that trust many times over. Trust a woman? Yeah, been there, done that. Now he's the love em and leave em type. But something about the sexy Jasmine speaks to him. Totally and completely. Finding out that she too has betrayed him sends him spiraling into a cycle of retaliation and revenge. Except even then he can't hurt her. He knows somewhere deep inside that he NEEDS her.

Of course if it was just a case of industrial sabotage this wouldn't be a Cynthia Eden Suspense book.. There are deep undercurrents running throughout this book and as readers, at best we can only hang on and let the tide sweep us along.

Intense complications, family ties and emotional depths that are the stock and trade of Ms Eden's suspense books. A true page turner.. Edge of your seat action! But while the action sweeps us along it's the emotional depth that pulls us under. There is such love here. Two people who find the one.

I will admit, I cried. Drake's passion, his total and complete surrender to love was a beautiful thing. For a man who no longer believed to find love, is a gift. And Drake will do anything to keep that light in this world.

Man oh man.. another powerful book. Another Five Plus story.. Each and every one of the Mine to books tell a unique story about a powerful man who discovers that strength comes from surrender! And I LOVED them.

Drake is totally and completely swoonworthy and his book was most definitely worth the wait.

Mine to Crave
3 Stars

After being burned one too many times, billionaire casino owner Drake Archer has sworn never to fall for a woman again. But when Jasmine Bennett walks into his life with a sexy smile and risky secrets, Drake finds himself irrevocably drawn in even though he cannot trust her.

Series Note: This is book 4 in Eden's Mine series. While it can be read as a standalone, there are references to events in previous installments that provide important background to the hero's characterization.

Cynthia Eden is an amazing storyteller with a gift for creating memorable characters. Unfortunately, the books in this series do not showcase her writing skills as well as some of her other works.

Like the other books in the series, Mine to Crave contains a good mix of steamy romance and exciting suspense. Nevertheless, also like the others, there is something missing from the story that prevents it from resonating completely with the reader.

Jasmine and Drake's initial chemistry is off the charts and the premise of her seducing him to steal his secrets has incredible potential. Unfortunately, this preliminary storyline never develops. Rather the plot that emerges in one involving a vengeful nemesis from Drake's past, and the twists and turns are disappointingly predictable.

Another problem lies with the romance. Drake has supposedly sworn off deceitful women, yet he pursues Jasmine even though she lies to him from the start. This simply does not make sense regardless of how likable and sympathetic a heroine Jasmine is.

Trevor and Noah, the heroes from the previous stories, put in an appearance toward the end, and Eden also introduces two new men who will be the focus of the next couple of installments. Both are intriguing enough to continue.

Mine to Crave is the fourth installment in the Mine series. The series features Trace Weston, Noah York, and Drake Archer; an unbreakable bond of brotherhood forged in battle. Their military days are over, but civilian life reveals enemies – both old and new. Cynthia Eden is gifted when it comes to putting the right mix of suspense and romance together. Finally, she has released the story I have been desperately waiting to read.

Drake Archer intrigued this reader since he was first mentioned. My first impression of him was overshadowed by the fact that he once betrayed a friend; even if it was unintentional. As a reader, this hindered my ability to immediately bond with his character – I felt he needed to redeem himself to be worthy of Jasmine. Never one to disappointed, the author does not let Drake off the hook easily – she torments him accordingly. However, as the threat mounts his character radiates all those swoon-worthy, heroic characteristics you expect.

Jasmine Bennett is a heroine rarely featured romantic suspense, at least without paranormal elements. She is comprised of characteristics usually reserved for the hero in the story. While her independence and strength were expected, her ability to maintain a HIGH level of mystery was fascinating.

The story is fairly unoriginal, but Eden’s writing style more than makes up for that.

Romantic Suspense is one of those sub genres in romance literature that can be very, very good or very, very bad. This is an example of very, very good.

You have a former military man who now owns and runs multiple casinos with a tortured past. He has everything that money can buy but happiness. To have happiness you have to trust and Drake Archer trusts a very select few people but never a woman. He learned that lesson the hard way a long time ago.

Jasmine Bennett is a thief, or is she? She's on the run from a so called bounty hunter while she's in pursuit of Drake for information about his business dealings. She herself trusts very few people. She's always had to pretty much rely on herself, even from a young age. Her own past is interwoven with Drake that leaves her vulnerable and in turmoil.

From the moment she crooks her finger at Drake the first time to the second time she does it, it's non-stop action. I couldn't hardly put it down. I even stayed up late to read it. Cynthia Eden, I just want to kiss you and hug you so tight. You had my heart racing with the suspense, fanning myself during the love scenes and my eyes misting at the emotional parts. That's not just good romantic suspense but that's a good novel.

In closing, a couple of my favorite lines:

The memory of being in Drake's bed was too strong. I could still feel him on my skin.

She tasted just like he remembered. Like every dream he'd ever had. Like everything he ever wanted but didn't deserve.

I loved this book. I totally love the romantic suspense genre. This was an edge of my seat, page turner. Drake Archer is the typical tormented, possessive, hard ass hero. He is suspicious of Jasmine from the start but cannot seem to resist her feminine wiles. Drake is a billionaire casino owner and just wants to build his empire and forget about a painful, dark past.

Jasmine Bennett is a women of mystery that catches Drakes attention from the beginning and works to lose him, every chance she has. Jasmine is snarky, kick ass heroine. Danger surrounds her and she faces it head on, regardless of the outcome.

The baddie/villain was full of hate, revenge, and ugliness. His soul purpose was to inflict as much pain and torment as he could on those he felt had wronged him.

Drake is "extra sensitive" and a hard ass about being betrayed or any betrayal, due to past events in his life. When he believes Jasmine has betrayed him he goes into super overdrive to claim her, save her, protect her.

Both have secrets that slowly are revealed to each other, as the story progresses. Love me some action packed books. I will continue to read books from Cynthia Eden and I will read the Mine series.

A taut, sexy read that kept me glued to the pages until the book was done.
I particularly enjoyed the heroine, Jasmine Bennett. She was a great mix of strength and vulnerability that made a great foil for the bossy, edgy alpha that was Drake Archer.
The villain of this story may have enjoyed using bombs and fire as his weapons of choice but nothing compares to the blistering heat of Drake and Jasmine once they get together. There is an immediate attraction that cannot be denied. Though both do their best to walk away, not willing to take a chance due to emotional wounds, it's just not possible and they come back together again and again in explosive fashion. Loved to see the personal growth for Drake, though Jasmine remained a bit of a mystery until the end.
Readers who have been following this series will be happy to see previous characters make appearances in this offering. If you haven't read the three earlier books I would recommend it as the plot line weaves throughout them all.
I can only hope that Eden will choose to continue this book. I'm thinking that there are a couple side characters that would make for some exciting books in the future.
