I picked this up because I recently reread Mate and enjoyed the different vibe of the book. I was curious if it maybe came from this author since she cowrote the book and I’ve never read anything from Sara Fields with sarcastic humor before.
I’m not even sure if this is a true example of her typical style, but this wasn't funny, or dark, or super smutty. It was mostly sweet fluff. There’s a spanking scene, but it’s because she almost died being dumb. Insta-love for both.
Bottom Line- Quick, easy and free to read with KU. This is fluffy smut. It’s fine for the genre, but that’s all you’re getting… fluff and smut.
Received free copy. Decent novella that doesn't quite hold up to what I expect from the publisher. Alpha males all around but without the steam I was expecting. First book I have read by the author.
