Dr. Ellen D. Fiedler, a professor emerita from the Master in Arts in Gifted Education (M.A.G.E.) program at Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago, is currently a private education consultant. She regularly provides professional development strategies for school districts and other educational agencies, presentations for parents, and a wide range of consultation services related to gifted students and their education. She is the author of numerous articles in professional journals, and a contributor to Living With Intensity and Off the Charts: Asynchrony and the Gifted Child
Ellen lives in Florida during the winter and in southwest Michigan in the summer. She initially became involved in gifted education as a parent of two profoundly gifted children. She is a member of the Florida Association for the Gifted; a member and past president of the Michigan Association for Gifted Children; and a member of the Illinois Association for Gifted Children, the NAGC, and the World Council for Gifted and Talented Children (WCGTC).
