'Guilty Pleasures' is the first book of the Guilty Pleasures Series by Katelyn Skye.Darren Gates is used to getting what he wants so being rebuffed by gorgeous punk rock singer Carly Davis not only surprises him, it intrigues him. Could she be well versed in the passions he longs to release upon her? The last thing that Carly Davis wants is to return to her hometown but she does not have much choice. Her band just broke up, her manager skipped town with what little money the band was owed, and her boyfriend just landed in jail for extortion. Arriving home, she finds things are not much better. Darren Gates, a multimillionaire developer, wants her parents’ faltering farm, since it would make a great site for a strip mall, and apartment complex. This series is a contemporary romance featuring a billionaire, alpha male bachelor with some submissive themes. This ebook contains searing depictions of romantic activity.
"There was a naughty girl And a naughty girl was she, For nothing would she do But scribble poetry"
Katelyn Skye began her creative career very young, writing little romantic poems that she was too afraid to show to anybody. After graduating from high school and getting admitted into college, her poems slowly developed into longer verses and eventually into little stories that she finally allowed others to read.
They eventually matured, as she did, to romances filled with the wildest fancies of her imagination. As her own sex life flourished, so did the lives of her characters and her stories became edgier, more alive than ever before.
Katelyn Skye endeavors to give her readers the most modern and contemporary romance tales for women. She writes strong, independent female characters who either learn to, or are not afraid to experience all that life has to give.
She hopes you enjoy reading her work as much as she has always enjoyed writing it.
Carly has hit upon very hard times, but upon her returning home she finds her parents have it much harder than she could have ever guessed. Darren has a goal but has it changed sincerely or is he trying to renegotiate the terms of the possible agreement. No certain plot as of yet but I thing it is being worked on.
The story started well, but I was unprepared for the BDSM element of it. I won't buy the rest of the series, but for someone who likes the BDSM theme, it may be enjoyable.
