I believe Hurwitz before Orphan X that made him a reader’s name. Found myself skimming through some drawn out descriptions. Also found myself backing up to reread as he Hurwitz skipped settings from one paragraph to the next. EG: Tim would be talking to his wife then all of a sudden in next sentence, he would have the bad guys on a stake out. Wait? What? Where’s Tim and his wife? Oh! The author has moved on….! I also found some of the plot was too quick to transition. Tim went one direction with his emotions, falling into the storyline and the next thing you know, without much provocation or explanation- he’s not feeling that way anymore. And I’d think - “well, that was an abrupt change of heart” Plot decent. Story moved pretty well. Decent but not an X novel
