1.3 stars ⭐️ Highkey feeling very cool that I’m reviewing a book with this few ratings (19)

- 👩🏻‍💻 In dire need of an editor, full of grammar errors, but I was still mildly entertained during the first half, in a wattpad kind of way. The second half, however, felt sloppy and less cohesive, and I just didn’t know what the story was about anymore.

- ✍🏼 The writing style could be confusing at times. There were instances I had no idea what the setting was, or there would be too little buildup to an event. You could also see the plot coming from a mile away.

- This was full of gender stereotypes. 'The girls crew are just going to look pretty in their suits holding some sort of girly alcoholic drink in their hands whilst taking selfies; you know that right?’ Yikes. 🤢 Plus, the whole ‘girl vs boy crew’ made me icky

- Why was the crew around for EVERY. SINGLE. CONVERSATION? Kissing? Saying ‘I love you’ for the first time? Ew.

My first Keeley Austin book, and I am impressed! This story revolves around Mia and Austin, two college students from contrasting backgrounds. Austin, a popular college rower with an elite status and a way with the ladies, finds himself drawn to Mia, who prefers the company of her close-knit group of friends over the campus social scene. Despite Mia's guarded demeanor and undisclosed secrets, Austin is determined to win her over and protect her at any cost. As the two navigate their past traumas and face challenges together, the question looms: Can Austin break through Mia's barriers and uncover her secrets? To discover the full extent of their romance, you'll have to dive into this captivating tale!

Enjoyed this book and read it in a few hours!.
The banter between the main characters is off the chart, this book made me laugh and was a really nice change from the darker romance I usually read.
Good plot, the spice is great too but doesn't take away from the plot.
If you are into sport romance, strong female character but sweet and shy tlat the same time. A cocky male character but once you get to know him you see his true self protective, caring and loyal.
Two groups of friends join to become a family.

This book was like a cozy blanket, mixing serious moments with jaw-dropping scenes, yet still managing to sprinkle in comfort and giggles.

The witty exchanges between the characters kept me engaged throughout the story, adding a delightful touch of humor and excitement. The author's ability to balance heavy themes with moments of levity is truly commendable & thought-provoking.

The way the narrative weaves together intense scenes with light-hearted banter had me on an emotional roller coaster and I never wanted it to end. I need more LOL!

This is a super quick and easy read! Mia really goes through it in this book but Austin is there to constantly support her and supply laughs.

He’s really invested in her from the very beginning.

I smashed this book out in a day and I loved it!!

The story started out ok but towards the end it became less cohesive. I feel like it could still use some editing to make the story read better.

The story started off well, but it became less cohesive toward the end. I believe it could benefit from further editing to improve its flow and readability.
