Award winning author, Erin Bevan writes small town Americana romances straight from the heart. This is my first book I’ve ever read about cowboy types, and I’m pretty sure it won’t be my last. In high school Cassie Bailey suffered the ultimate rejection, she asked school heartthrob Dallas Day to the prom and he blew her off. She also made the mistake of falling head over heels for him. Now the years have ensued. Dallas has become the cowboy equivalent of a screen idol, he’s a world champion bull rider, a hunk with the looks and manners to win over any girl, or their mama’s for that matter. But, woe-is-me to any woman looking to lasso this cowboy, he has no interest in cultivating a long-term relationship. A least that is until he meets a woman who seems to not be falling for his mouthwatering charm. Cassie, the new veterinarian in this small Texas town, knows one or two things about heartbreak. She lost her mother in a horrifying manner, and she’s held a secret unrequited passion for Dallas Day since high school. She has a fiancé who she believes is the safe, and right choice for her. Someone who wants the same things that she does, someone she’s not even a smidgen in love with. Well, we certainly know where that’s going. Never expecting to ever see Dallas again, she finds herself the object of his attentions when he returns home to recover from an injury. Add a small wager, challenging Dallas, that this irresistible hunk can snag a date with the girl every guy in town is trying to date and you have the set up for a lovely, sweet, sexy love story. Cassie is running away and Dallas is in hot pursuit. Throw in a serial killer for good measure and you have a rodeo, so to speak. You’ll have to read this satisfying romance to find out the rest.

Common romance trope of superstar hero who is a womanizer pursuing the beautiful woman who lives an ordinary life and who was the plain girl he rejected in high school ... with a little added twist that the heroine has a stalker. A light read-to-escape story if you ignore that spell check was probably the only editor.
Wedding Day is a fun contemporary romance. The story takes place in small town USA, and all love scenes are "closed-door," for those readers who prefer their romances more on the tame side! In Wedding Day, a local rodeo star and the new town vet cross paths at the town fair. It turns out they have a pst that goes back to their high school days. The romance is believable and sweet, and there are all sorts of side characters that add to the book to make it a thoroughly enjoyable read, perfect for summer on the beach!
Another great book by Bevan! This is my second and it's as good as Cupid's Angels! Fall in love with Dallas Day right alongside the heroine. Plenty of suspense to keep you reading late. Loved it!
This was a really cute story. We have Dallas who never met a challenge he didn't like and Cassie who is likely to be the biggest challenge. And also the biggest reward Dallas has ever met.
Cassie is innocent, hard working, and a devoted mother. She loves her family and is committed to them and her community so jumps at the chance to move her and her daughter back to Frisbee, TX. The only thing in the way of her peaceful life is a busy boyfriend and a handsome blast from the past. She tried valiantly to steer clear of Dallas' overt charms but doesn't stand a chance when he decides to pursue her relentlessly. He worms his way into her life and into her heart.
Dallas is looking for some fun while he's recovering from a broken wrist and sees his brother's challenge as the perfect distraction. When he finally sees the object of the town's interest, the new veterinarian seems unaffected by his advances. His interest in her becomes something genuine and his eyes are opened to a future he didn't know he wanted. He's ready to make some changes for his auburn-haired beauties and hopes his plans work out.
Meanwhile, we've got jealous people on both sides of this relationship that try their best to come between Dallas and Cassie. Insecurities and misunderstandings do their damage and before we know it there's a whole lot of groveling that needs to happen. The confessions are sweet and the resolution is simply handled despite the dramatic crescendo it reaches.
There was more sweetness than steam for the couple. I'm not a fan of the fade out or skip scene thing for the sexy times, but all the other intimate moments had a good zing so I can probably overlook that.
The supporting cast was really good. Spencer and Brody's story should definitely be told. Eloise is quite the stand-out character and I wish she were present a bit more, even though she's almost more periphery than side-kick.
Overall, this was a great read, very sweet and entertaining. I willingly read and reviewed this ARC from the author.
If you’re looking for a light-hearted romance featuring a dashing cowboy, a bit of intrigue, a good handful of sexual innuendos, and not too many detailed sex scenes, then this is definitely the book for you.
This was such a delightful romance that I couldn’t ever seem to put it down. It really draws you in right from the get-go with it’s lovable characters and interesting story line. The romance between Dallas and Cassie starts off as a challenging bet for him, and an old high-school crush for her. But as the two get closer, spend more time together, and Dallas shows nothing but love and caring to Cassie’s daughter, Briana, this simple high-school crush turns into something more heartfelt and passionate.
There’s really a plethora of different romance novel themes represented in this book. From single parents to stalkers, bets, a cowboy contemplating his rodeo career, and a virgin heroine torn between two men, it’s all here! I could see how some people might find all of these themes to be overwhelming, but I personally thought they all converged and flowed into one cohesive story with a dramatic and exciting conclusion. Every element had a part to play and it all came full circle.
The mystery stalker element of this novel also balanced very well with the budding romance between Cassie and Dallas. I did guess the identity of our stalker rather early on, but the author does an amazing job at making you suspect quite a few different characters, and second-guess yourself. Everything comes together in one final scene that is so unbelievably intense you can’t help but love it.
This is a great read that will make you giggle with delight, sigh from the fabulous romance, and hold your breath in anticipation. If I had one teeny weeny complaint, it would be that Dallas and Cassie come together extremely quickly. The whole novel takes place in the span of about two weeks.
Cassie Bailey is settling down to be the towns new vet. Dallas Day is home to recover from a bull riding injury. Dallas's brother makes a bet with him that he won't be able to land a date with the lovely new vet. Dallas, not one to back down from a challenge does his best. Little does he remember that she was the shy one in high school. Cassie is weary to get her heart broken by Dallas whom she has had a crush on since high school. He paid little attention to her then and she doesn't trust the attention he's given them now. Will Dallas be able to convince her to go out with him?
In an Oystery Shell - It was a well-crafted really sweet story that puts this author's other books straight on my TBR.
The Pearls - I met this author at a conference and she was really sweet. I was really happy when I was able to see her personality come out in this well-written story. It was sweet and clean my favorite kind of romance.
The characters were well developed and easy to follow. I thought Dallas was a fun character he was very confident and it was fun to see him try to win over Cassie. Cassie was sweet with a bit of sass. Her daughter was a fun addition and had a moving backstory.
The romance was sweet. I liked that Dallas really had to work to get Cassie's attention. It was fun that Cassie had a boyfriend at the beginning of the story which threw a wrench into Dallas's plan.
I liked that this story had some suspense woven into it. It kept me on the edge of my seat.
Thought the title was wrong. Should have been called 'The Cowboy and his Doctor'. But in the end it was explained. This was an interesting read that had a suspect part to it. Didn't see that really at first. But it worked. They had met in high school. He was the typical rodeo bandit collecting buckle bunnies. She was a wallflower. Not pretty enough for him. Now years later she is a vet he is a champion. Will their differences help or hinder what is going on with her stalker?
Wedding Day by Erin Bevan hooked me from the first sentence and held me captive until the last. This well-written book is loaded with awesome characters, humor, drama, suspense and spice. Dallas and Cassie's story is a pleasure to read and I look forward to reading more from Erin Bevan in the future. Wedding Day is a complete story, not a cliff-hanger.
Title doesn't really fit. More like the Vet wrangles the Bull Rider. Rodeo stud finally has a woman who he wants to win but starts it with a stupid bet. Vet is smart, compassionate, chaste & doesn't recognize she's grown to be a beauty. Weird things are happening that amp up the danger factor & the Doc seems to be at the center. I enjoyed the challenge & intrigue woven in this story.
This was not a sappy love story. It was a western love story though. The characters were believable. You felt yourself rooting for Dallas and Cassie to work things out. Even rooting for little Brianna
Cassie had a lot of baggage in the way of guilt. I enjoyed her interaction with Dallas and his family. Although I wasn't surprised Roger was her tormentor I was surprised he was a serial killer.
It was a quick read and a fun story. Grammatical mistakes bothered me, but so many books have them! ☺️ The ending felt rushed; otherwise I did enjoy the book. I didn't like the title till I got to the last page and understood why it was named that.
This book was great and the characters in it will keep you turning the pages quickly until the end of the book.I highly recommend it to anyone who likes to read a book that has a little bit of everything in it.
Wedding Day by Erin Bevan is a standalone novel with a HEA. The storyline was solid and well thought out. The twists and turns were great and kept me on the edge of my seat. The characters were well developed and had lots of depth and emotion.
With a mix of romance, mystery, and humor, the cast of characters in this novel entertain from the first page to the last page. I love novels set in small towns, and add in the setting of a hometown state fair and it's even better. The descriptions of the scenery and action make you feel as though you are there with the characters and by the end, you wish you could live in Frisbee, too---especially if you could have the fun-loving, dancing, owner of A La Mode, Eloise for a landlord.
Wedding Day is well-written. Told in both Dallas and Cassie's POV, the shifts are flowing and add to the ease of this sweet, closed-door romance. It's fast pace, it perfect for a light, quick read, and yet, when you get to the end, you can't help but want it to keep going.
I love when I can find an author with sweet romances that focus on story rather than just sex, sex, and more sex. Mrs. Bevan is a gem, and I look forward to more from her.
