In the friendly town of Sweet Water, North Dakota, Ellen and Travis's friendship flourished, firmly rooted in shared laughter and dreams.
As Travis returned to Sweet View Ranch, his purchase of Ellen at auction seemed to shatter the boundaries they had once embraced. Stirred by newfound emotions, Ellen grappled with conflicting feelings when Travis asked her to assist him in finding a wife.
Bound by loyalty and love, she faced a heartbreaking choice—guide the man she secretly longed for toward another's arms or summon the courage to reveal her true feelings, risking their cherished bond.
Another great book in this series, I so enjoyed reading it and recommend to everyone. The H is four years older than the h and the H is always there for her when she needs help. One night she calls him and tells him that her puppy is going into labor and she is afraid. As they talk he drives to her house through a snow storm and helps the first puppy to be born because the head is twisted. After that twelve puppies are born without problems. The h then feeds him his favorite meal which she had prepared and kept warm for him. After he eats and they clean up the kitchen he tells her that he has to leave the country for four years and then he will be back. He tells her that he will keep in touch which he does but not as frequently as she would like. The four years turns out to be much longer. When he does a brief visit to see her she is gone. He tells the people he has seen not to tell her that she missed him because he doesn’t want her to feel bad. He had come to see her show her dogs and he wanted to share her success with her. When he finally returned for good he is delivered a newborn infant and told that he needs to take care of her now and the mother leaves. The H knows nothing about taking care of a newborn infant and he tells the h that it definitely is not his, he has always been faithful to her all the years he was gone. He calls his to see if the baby is his but he swears that it not his child and the H knows that he is telling the truth. The h steps up and helps him take care of the baby. He goes home with the baby continually holding the baby while the h goes out to buy the necessary supplies including a pack and play so the baby will have a place to sleep. While the h is out shopping the H is surfing the internet to find out what he needs to do for the baby. Working together they meet the needs of the baby. Then one day when the h has the baby and is out shopping so the H can get some sleep she proceeds to put the baby in the car seat someone steals the car. The h manages to get into the car and eventually determines that the thief is actually the baby’s mother who accidentally stole the wrong car. The h eventually talks the thief into returning to the H’s house to help with the baby. All is going well when all oven a sudden another child is dropped off a little boy who is crying. He is the son of the baby’s mother. When the H and h are gone they get a frantic phone call and the mother tells them she has to leave immediately and as they rush home the H calls a friend and asks if he can shelter the woman and her two children and he says yes. In the end the mother and children have a safe home and the mother in three days plans the wedding for the H and h. You can’t help but love the H and h for how they are there for each other and always willing to help others. The H’s return didn’t go as planned because of what happens but then all the confusion is nothing compared to taking care of the baby. The baby turns out to be a problem and a blessing. In the end they get their HEA. Hope you enjoy the book as much as I did. Enjoy!
I have been following the lives of Ellen and Travis in earlier books by Jessie Gussman, and I was happy that they finally got their own love story with this book. They met when they were children and became close friends even though Travis was four years older than Ellen. When he turned 18, he moved to another state to learn how to become a businessman with Mr. Ford as his mentor. Travis and Ellen kept in touch. After four years, he returned home only to tell Ellen that he was being sent to Brazil for another four years. They decided to wait until he returned to make any commitment since Ellen was only 18 and still in school. She had her cattle and dog businesses that she was already successful in. I loved this story and I highly recommend this clean Christian romance on how to remain faithful even during adversity. I received an ARC but purchased my own copy. This is my voluntary and honest review.
Love love love Ellen and Travis' story. Ellen fell in love with Travis when they were teens. Travis took a little longer, but not by much. Only problem she was still considered young and he was getting ready to graduate high school, so he walked away with out telling her his true feelings. They were best friends and they would stay best friends. He was going away to learn business from his mentor, then comeback and buy a farm. His dream since childhood. Ellen was an entrepreneur in her own right, raisin special cattle to sell and raising and training cattle dogs. I've been waiting for this book for ages, and it did not disappoint. Had some real shockers, but I don't want to add any spoilers. If you like clean heartfelt books you can't go wrong here. I highly recommend 'A Cowboys Forever Faithful'. I received this book from the publisher. The thoughts and comments are my own.
A fun and easy read. I have only read a couple of Jessie's works and have enjoyed them. I will look for more as I can. This is a Christian love story and worth reading.
Travis has waited ten years for Ellen since she was 14 years old. He has loved her but knew she needed to grow up. He worked out of the country learning new skills for business and is very successful. Ellen raises cattle and trains working dogs and is successful also.
After Travis comes home, he is handed a baby and is told she is his brother's baby. Read it to find out what happens.
okay so i finished this book on the plane yesterday, and i honestly don’t know if i will read any more of this series. it’s not….bad? i guess? but it’s also like….very forced. and the plot was outlandish, respectfully.
i liked that it attempted to be faith centered- but i found it unnatural the way it came up (and this is coming from someone who is super into their faith and works for the church). i don’t know!
i just didn’t feel very invested at any point, so i don’t know if it’s worth continuing.
Isn't it amazing when we see that Jessie Gussman has to used her God-given gift to write relatable, challenging, and enjoyable characters, while sharing situations with us where we can learn more about our relationship with God!?!. I have learned so much by relating to her characters. This is just another one of her amazing books, that we can't get enough of. Keep the stories coming, Miss Jessie!
I debated my rating on this one, it got pretty preachy (I know, it is a Christian romance afterall) but I was glad to fi ally get Ellen and Travis's story. I was certainly not expecting the turns this book took along the way. There are multiple points of view throughout, which I actually like. I have a feeling the next few books will need to be read in order to keep up. There were definitely hints of story yet to come
A Cowboy's Faithful Forever is a story that starts with young love, that has to be put on hold until they are older. Travis knows he loves Ellen, he also knows to do what is best for her, he must leave and make something of himself. Travis and Ellen's story shows a great strength in the power of love and friendship. This is book 1 of Sweet View Ranch and if the rest of the series continues to be as good as this one, you won't want to miss any of them!
I'm so excited to continue spending time with these beautiful characters in Sweet Water! I treasure the values that are shared and taught on the pages of these wonderful stories! Jessie Gussman is truly my favorite Christian author! Can't wait to read the next book!
A long ago crush for a man comes to life many years later.
Enjoyed being with this author again. Travis and Ellen story was sweet. Two who had fallen in love as teens finally get their happily ever after. They fit so well together. Looking forward to the rest of the series. Will read more by this author.
The ending just showed up. No segues or anything. It just ends.
I loved the way the author created the characters, though. They were almost alive with their traits, likes, and dislikes. How they interacted with the story that promises to last throughout the series was wonderful.
As always, I love anything by Jessie Gussman and this book did not disappoint. It is a sweet love story about two people who remain faithful to each other over years of being apart, and facing situations which could destroy their faith in each other. I read it in one day-highly recommended.
After several weeks of hard science fiction while taking advantage of a temporary Kindle unlimited binge, A Cowboy's Forever Faithful is just what I needed as a change of pace. Thoroughly enjoyable story and, as always, pleasant people negotiating life before God. Also, several excellent lessons about living out a life given to Jesus Christ.
Ellen and Travis have been friends since childhood. Can they grow out of that mind frame and become more than friends. Travis will inherit a big sum of money if he is married by a certain date. Ellen wants to find him a wife. Travis want Ellen to marry him, but he doesn't want to break their friendship. Thinking she wouldn't say yes to his proposal. MK
I love reading Christian Romances. Jessie puts it in her books as if she is talking to directly to that person. I cannot wait to read her her next book in this series. Ellen and Travis befriend a young girl with two small children and they are helping her to get her life on track.
Once you start reading you can’t put it down. Enjoy.
It seems like I waited forever for this story. I had been teased with tidbits in another story. I loved this reunion of Travis and Ellen. They were special and I think this is my favorite so far even though I have enjoyed all of Jessie's books. She is a wonderful artist with amazing talent. I so enjoy the religious parts also.
One of the best books I have ever read. A couple who knew God and understood what the Bible tells us how we should live. Understanding our purpose in life and willing to try to do the best we can is very important. It explains why our world is in the mess it's in today. God has given a guide for us to live by.
Wow I love the way this author can write a very powerful story. You can feel the excitement that the characters have between them in the way the author words everything. A great story.
The characters were show to be people of honor and faithful ness. From the time they were 14 and 18 the two had been best friends. But several years later they were separated. Can they overcome those years? Love the story.
Once in awhile am author writes a dud. Such is this novel. It seemed rushed, storyline fast, short, decades of waiting becoming repetitive and predictable, shallow and unbelievable characters, with everything between filler and fluff. Yawn worthy
A wonderful tale of two people who had not told each other of their feelings. Read the ups and downs as they find their way to each other by relying on God day by day. An inspiring story you don't want to miss.
Love this story of some old characters introducing a new series. As always this author keeps you entertained with unexpected events but also spreads faith messages throughout the book. A good read and a new journey with a new family in town introduced by Sweet Water's own Travis and Ellen.
Heartwarming, beautiful, love story of waiting 8 years for God's timing. Long distance best friends forever turns into more for the rest of there lives. Great character contrasts. Highly recommended for all readers.
This was such a wonderfully sweet Christian romance. The characters are realistic, Christian values. I hope you take the time and check out this wholesome Christian series. As always happy reading.
I loved this story about Ellen and Travis. Their story started so long ago and they each have grown and continued to progress on their own. Definitely a bit more suspense in this series. Jay did a great job with the audio book on Say with Jay.
Ellen and Travis fell in love as teens but waited many years before acknowledging it and getting together. They were well prepared to go into marriage and a life of generosity to others!
Ellen and Travis kept the perameters as teenagers and did not do anything that could get either in trouble; they kept as a friendship. The story grabbed my attention from the start. There is a lot that happens in the story that really made me want to read more. Good start to this series.
