I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. I highly recommend The Beast King's Bride.
This is not the first thing I have read from Tasha Creed. I have gotten several free books from her through her newsletter. I really enjoyed all the books I've read by her. The Beast King's Bride is no exception.
The world building, attention to detail, and character development are really good. This is a slow burn, clean and sweet enemies to lovers retelling of Beauty and the Beast. I really enjoyed her take on this story. I love the shifter twist she added. There are also a few twists and turns that make it unique. I can't wait to read more from Tasha Creed.

A beautiful telling of beauty and the beast with a twist . I love how tasha is able to capture us with a new rendition of the lovely story . Her descriptions and words take you to the places you are reading . She is able to capture you so you feel the emotions that each character is feeling . The twists, turns, suspense, love, hurt, and sadness are all depicted in each and every chapter of this beautiful story .

I didn't want to put it down.

I started reading this at night time. Needless to say, it was so good I was up 'till midnight reading and then had to put the book down. Leaving me having to attempt to sleep whilst my brain was constantly thinking about the book and what was going to happen next. Best you take a holiday where you can hide away for the whole day and not have to put the book down. Having to put the book down is absolute torture. Also don't expect any housework to get done whilst reading this, it will take priority over everything else. 😉 Definitely gonna read more from this author.

This book overall was a fairly enjoyable book. There were a LOT of nods to the Disney version of this story sprinkled throughout the book. The shifters were a fun twist but I do wish it had been fleshed out a little more. There were times when phrases or dialogue seemed a bit jarring and out of place. They didn't flow with how the characters had been acting or talking.

I love the openness, the unique paranormal twist on a childhood favorite with this beauty and the beast retelling. there's a hint of spice, though it's fade to black, closed door romance. hints at attempted SAing. loss is heavily themed, and the leaps of faith by the main characters are excellent. definitely recommend this book.

This was a wonderful retelling of Beauty and the Beast with new twist and turns. Beauty and the beast is one of my favorite stories and this retelling was awesome. I really enjoyed the story even though it followed closely to the original. I can't wait to read the next book.

Isabella and The Beast King have a lot to overcome before their Happy ending. I enjoyed all the characters and mystery involved in this Fantasy Romance Story.

The Beast King’s Bride by Tasha Creed is a 4 ⭐️ read.

I quite enjoyed this retelling/ reimagined of the classical tale of beauty and the beast. Isabella you can’t help but fall in love with for her bravery and loyalty to her father and herself even when cast a rotten hand. The Beast King who hangs in the shadows show endearing qualities but is still gruff and blows hot and cold. Astra the loyal servant who befriends Isabella and tries to help her understand the curse of the castle without telling her in so many words. If you enjoy fairytales and shifter stories then this book is for you.

I really love this book. It is a similar telling of beauty and the beast but so much more. It is so different that it kept me interested. I loved it and that says a lot. I love how this book makes the curse so much more than what it was originally made out to be. There is always more to the story and this book gave just that. I do love how the love story comes together. Gave so much more than I had hoped for. Now on to the next book because I need to know what happens now.

Tasha's writing is refreshing like this take on beauty and the beast. It's hard to do justice to a classic and she has done it! The story is woven with care and dynamic characters. Definitely would read more from her.

The Beast King's Bride is a paranormal shifter retelling of Beauty and the Beast. Even though the story is known, it was nice to see different elements added that aren't in the original. I enjoyed reading how the Beast (Kas) and Beauty (Isabella) break the curse. It was a beautiful love story.

Continuity mistakes present themselves early on when the prologue says that a curse causes the entire kingdom to lose all knowledge of what fated mates are, only for the Gaston-like character in the first scene to tease the FMC about being reticent to date him with this line: "Look at me, Isabella, or are you afraid I might end up being your fated?" A few pages later, this line: “All I want is to meet my fated mate and fall in love.” And so on. The other half of the curse is women not being able to shift, although confusingly, the FMC and everyone else seems to expect that she’ll be able to, that she’s defective somehow, as though this isn’t a kingdom-wide issue that everyone would have noticed by now. Long story short, it’s a basic Beauty and the Beast retelling with major structural errors in nearly every aspect that isn’t cribbed from the original story.

BatB Retelling

You can tell this was once on Vella but as the book progresses that becomes much less obvious, thankfully. It was a nice retelling of Beauty and the Beast, with some almost direct quotes/nods to the animated film (which didn’t bother me), but enough unique elements to make it feel, well, unique.

I think my biggest beef was please decide if you are going to talk in an old fashioned way or in a more modern way and stick with the choice. Some word choice “felt” older and some felt much more current, and the going back and forth was jarring.

I’m glad I tried this first book, but I don’t think I’ll continue. I think there is potential for good things from this author one day.

Another great book by the author. Beaty and the Beast retelling but with lion shifters. Isabella is a lion shifter but she can’t shift. She lives with her father. Everyone is afraid to become the yearly sacrifice to the Beast King. Isabella is forced to take a mate to save her father. Now that her father is chosen to be the sacrifice Isabella runs away to save him. She pleads with the Beast King to take her and let her father go. So now Isabella lives with the Beast King. She has Astra a griffin as a friends and tour guide. Isabella just wants to know the Beast King and why he’s cursed. Will Isabella save the Beast King? Or he’s he doomed to be a beast forever?

Another great book by the author, Tasha Creed, because who doesn't love a good Beauty and the Beast retelling, especially with lion shifters? Isabella, a lion shifter who's having some major identity issues since she can't shift, lives with her dad and they're both just trying to avoid being the Beast King's yearly sacrifice. But then her dad gets chosen and Isabella's all, 'Hey, take me instead!' Now she's stuck living with the Beast King, trying to figure out why he's so beastly, with the help of her new BFF Astra the griffin. Will she save the Beast King or is he doomed to be a furry monster forever?

The plot I was intrigued by, but the actual writing was a short get-to-it tell, not show. For example, instead of writing something like: "She rushes to dress herself, partially damp from her bath, but there was no time to waste as she was already late." But instead, she literally talks and says "Thanks. I will just throw this on." I know this seems silly but it's usually like this. Not actual quotes, but examples of what I mean:
"She walks to the kitchen and arrives. She touches the stove."
"She slips."

Again, this is my personal opinion.

I had to DNF this one 27% into the book. I love the ideas used to reimagine Beauty & the Beast. There were many nods to the original Disney classic that were nice but also, I felt, were at odds with the new ideas being brought into the story. It's very confusing. There's a prolog that hastily tries to do all the world building but left me confused. I had to reread to try and understand it. There were some spelling errors throughout. I think some editing and rewriting for clarity would go a long way to make this story standout.

This was a fairly close retelling of Beauty and the Beast. The story line was pretty similar to the Disney version, which I liked. There were shifters of all kinds and an interesting spin on the curse. I liked the spin on the mirror and the fated mates as well. I also liked that the town remembered the king and made yearly sacrifices to him. Overall, I liked the characters (especially Astra) and found this to be a fun read!

An awesome book I loved. The fear of the Pride village is who will the yearly sacrifice be?
Everyone thinks The Beast King eats the yearly sacrifice. But there is much they don't know. Many secrets and hidden mysteries thrive within the Kings Ominous dark castle ... Will this year's sacrifice survive? Or will she beat the odds and discover not only secrets about the castle, but about herself as well. And how does she survive The Beast King? Great book by a great author @Tasha Creed

This is one of those books that has the vibe of “I said I liked it, not that it was good”…. There’s so much wrong with the book, definitely needs to be edited, wrong pov, spelling mistakes, saying something then saying it again like it’s new information, but the storyline is 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻! Very close to the Disney version but with a little extra drama and details! All the characters were annoying tho imo 🤷🏼‍♀️ it was like a car crash tbh

I enjoyed the retelling of Beauty and the Beast, by Tasha. She created a beautiful world that I could imagine and the details were amazing. Honestly, I wish there was more to the ending, with how beautifully it is written. I feel like it was rushed at the very end. With that being said though, it has left my mind to wonder and use my imagination more.

I highly recommend!
