These essays are now a bit dated but still worth reading. From a look at the history of Mormon culture's attitude toward science and Darwinian evolution in particular and the changes of those attitudes over the years to essays from LDS scientists about the state of their science (as of 1993 when this book was published) and how they have been able to reconcile their beliefs and faith in a challenging field of endeavor. I particularly liked the essay "Adam's Navel" by Keith E. Norman. It has helped me over the years to come to terms with my own understanding of scripture, cosmology and the natural world.
