A.A. Albright lives in the Irish countryside with her husband.
She loves reading in every genre, but writing cozy mysteries is just about the most fun she's had in a decade.

Thanks to the author for an ARC of this book. I have chosen to write this honest review voluntarily and it reflects my personal opinion. I was delighted to receive a copy of this book, and dived into reading it as soon as I could. I love the way A. A. Albright has written these overlapping series, set in the same magical worlds, with different groups of characters and some favourites popping up across all the books. For the uninitiated there's a very helpful set of lists at the end of this book which indicates the best order of reading all her books, whether you choose to read one series or all of them (I fully recommend you don't miss 1!). This book is slightly different to the others in this series, which have featured Essie as the main character, because this one's around her twin Bel. She has a lot going on in her life with the destiny she's yet to accept and her romance with Vince, her boyfriend, is at a difficult stage as he stays away from Granvar Bay. However, we still have dry, witty humour, romance, a clever mystery, superb magic and the whole is carried off with wonderful descriptions and realism (have you come across an Irish person's appetite?). Even each witch's familiar is a character in it's own right and bring their own humorous observations and comments to events. These books would appeal to readers of all ages, and those of us who are 'of a certain age' will recognise there are some truths scattered through the pages - it's great to see how Bel responds to events. I fully recommend you don't miss this book, it's perfect to read again and again.
Belle’s life seems inside out and quite upside down. While Belle is witchy and adorable, she is still on the messy side of her life and nothing is working! Between supporting Vince, her fiancé after a kidnapping and terrible trauma befell him, helping him find his trust and life again and get their life together back, she has an overflowing plate of things to handle. Then there is theissues with her family vineyard and business and her taking over, when a local murder occurs.
As part of the local supernatural community, Belle and her besties are sleuthing and doing all they can to help her friend, falsely accused of the murder. (They all know the truth and their friend was falsely set up - now it’s just proving it).
And then sexy sinful Sebastian shows up to assist and the clock is ticking to find the murderer- astonishing when I reached the end of the book, and found out WHO was the real murderous villain, shocking!
An entertaining novel with warm likable characters, a hilarious heroine filled with love and feistiness , a happy ending and an absolutely worthwhile read
I enjoyed reading this book so much! It might be the last of the series but it felt like a brand new one. The story is well written, entertaining, the characters are very likable and the familiars just too cute!
I recommend this book and this whole series. I don't say that often but surprisingly, you don't really need to have read the previous books in order to understand the story. I loved it!
I want to walk amongst a magical vineyard over looking the sea in Ireland . I thought covid had cured my wanderlust to see other countries but I feel like it hasn't after all. Thanks Albright for the vaca!
What a fantastic story told from Belinda’s point of view. I loved how the whole series was wrapped up and hated when the story ended. I did not want to leave their world!
As all stories from the author, I loved this story as much as I did all the other books. It's exciting, mysterious, funny and romantic. Just like magic 🪄
