Quite a nice little book on drawing textures such as fur, fabrics, trees, fruit etc., with a pencil. There are a number of worked examples taking us step by step through the process for a botanical study, architecture, animal (dog) and portrait. Normally I would have kept this for a reference but my book collection is getting overwhelming so I'm donating it to charity. I give it 3.5 stars.

I got this book for my birthday one year, and it completely changed my entire perspective on texture in a graphite drawing. She intricately explains the strokes, materials, and techniques behind drawing complicated textures so that the picture looks real, and her instruction in shading is unparalleled. I would recommend this book to anyone needing help with texture or shading, and absolutely love it.
