The Redemption Duet

Rate this book
A one-night stand I can’t get out of my mind.

He was meant to be a distraction.

Just one night, no strings, no promises.

But things aren’t always that straightforward.

As I find out when the man staring in my wild fantasies takes up residence at the desk next to mine.

He demands more than I’m willing to give.

He makes me crave things I said I’d never do again.

But my resolve weakens, and I find myself craving a man over a decade my senior.

Until our secrets threaten to shatter everything.

Is this just history repeating itself or could it be everything I’ve ever wanted?

The Redemption Duet is the second collection in the Forbidden series. It's an emotional, angst-filled series with swoon-worthy, dirty-talking British heros.

Craving Redemption
4.5
This is Erica's story. Erica and Joe go out for a night and Erica ends up hooking up with an older dominant guy for a one-night stand or so she thinks. At work getting ready to meet the new hire who should walk in Trey the man hired to help them get out of the dilemma Lauren's father left the company in but also happens to be Erica's one-night stand. Their is a spark and chemistry between these two but Erica tries to avoid Trey because they work together and she is still trying to redeem herself after being manipulated by Lauren's father into helping him in his shenanigans. As hard as she tries Trey is not backing down and as hard as Erica tries after being scorned one to many times she finds herself thinking of letting Trey in. But then Erica gets news that will change her life and of course what she was waiting for as the saying goes the other shoe drops and it ends in an OMG moment that now I have to dive into the second part of this story to find out the conclusion.

Demanding Redemption
4*

This is the conclusion to Erica and Trey's story. This is told mostly from Trey's story. After Erica finds out Trey has been keeping a secret from her, she disappears and Trey tries to find her so he can explain and make it right but Erica doesn't make it easy. Great conclusion to this series. Love the story and the characters. Can't wait to dive into Joe's story and find out what he is hiding.

I received an ARC and volunteered to leave a review.

What another amazing book in this series. There’s no holds barred with the hotness in this book as it’s right there in the first few chapters. Totally mind blowingly amazing.
Erica is a character we have met before in the three previous books about Ben and Lauren’s story. How can she redeem herself for her part in the company’s financial problems? The pull between her and Trey is stronger than either of them realise. They both have skeletons in their closets and are guarded. This isn’t the end of their story, the next book will hopefully answer all the questions left hanging at the end of this book. I dare you not to fall for Trey and his sexy alpha sexiness.

Oh. My. God. What an amazing read. After the cliff hanger in the previous book you wonder if Trey can redeem himself. Well the answer is categorically yes! When everything seems to be stacked against him he never gives up, he loved with his whole heart and manages to show Erica what real love is. With a little help from his friends he wins her over and gives her the world.
What an amazingly hot steamy couple, I really hope they make more appearances in future books.

Craving Redemption: 4 stars

Erica!!!!

That was my first thought. After reading about her throughout the Forbidden series I hoped to high heaven we'd get her story!

Enter Trey.

There is just something about an older man, office romance that makes me swoon! From the moment Trey and Erica meet, sparks literally fly! Trey was dead set on winning Erica but she was so obsessed with redeeming her past mistakes she fought it.

And that cliffhanger?

I knew this was a wreck in the making but damn did I enjoy the ride!

Oh god...the angst!

Tracy Lorraine knows how to drop the angst gauntlet. Lies are uncovered, truths are forced into the open, emotions run rampant.

Trey was such a heartfelt character. Many times I felt like Erica was the mature one of the two, but I could kind of see Trey's issues and opinions.

This wasn't a cookie cutter, easy read. Lots of frame, lots of heartache, but that ending left me satisfied!

Previously released Craving Redemption and Demanding Redemption is now in the box set The Redemption Duet: The Forbidden Series by Tracy Lorraine. Each book is just as good as the Forbidden Trilogy. Tracy Lorraine tells a wonderful story. Can't get enough of her.

Craving Redemption is Erica's book. Finally she will get her HEA with the sexy and a little older Trey or so I thought. Quite a few bumps in the road for poor Erica. A secret and a horrible misunderstanding of circumstances.

Demanding Redemption: Erica leaves Johnson & Sons then just disappears. Trey is devastated and wants nothing more than to find Erica. Lots of emotional drama before Trey and Erica get their HEA. You will not be disappointed.

Following on from the forbidden trilogy the reception duet focuses on Erica and her path after the revelations of her past, can Erica prove her loyalty to her friends and find the redemption she’s searching for without distractions. At least that was the plan until Trey now she’s got to fight her attraction to the guy who could potentially be the one all because by a quirky twist of fate he’s her new co-worker. I loved Erica as a character in the forbidden series and I’m so glad she gets her own duet. She was such complex soul and really did need more exploring so this story was almost a beautiful tragedy that must be read to be believed. She is so relatable as a character with her deep rooted trust issues that readers can all empathise with on some level.

The Redemption Duet is a part of the Forbidden series and it follows Trey and Erica’s story. This is an age gap but I didn’t really feel the age difference. The attraction between them kept me turning pages to see what happens next. I absolutely loved this couple. Erica has a problem with trust. She has been hurt too many times by men in her life and wants to protect her heart. Trey day after day slowly tears down walls around Eric's heart. And when I thought they had their HEA, there is a twist..This duet is emotional and unputdownable. I definitely recommend it!

I was intrigued by the characters when they were introduced in the Forbidden Trilogy and this just gave me more to chew on. I loved it! It's a duet so the first book ends in a major cliffhanger that had my mouth wide open but I love that in the box set you can just keep reading and everything makes sense once you start the second book. I did want to throttle the characters a time or two.
