The Blood Red Rose Club #1

Master Salvador's Dilemma

Rate this book
Finding the two subs he most desires to make up his triad is only the start of Master Salvador Belmonte's problems.

He has persuaded his friend Edward to loan him his gay sub, Olafur Jonsson, for one night, so what could possibly ruin that? Edward loves to play tricks and adds his old school friend, Rose Barton, to the mix. She is the woman of Salvador's dreams, but she flees after a misunderstanding, and it is only by chance that he finds her again. Then Olafur seeks refuge with Salvador and Rose when Edward cheats on him once too often. Difficulties arise because of Olafur's sexuality and Rose's jealousy over Salvador's role in the club.

So what do you get when a bisexual Dom, a gay sub, and a straight female make up a triad? Master Salvador's dilemma! The solution comes in a strange guise.

I picked up this book because I’m a fan of MMF and I like the Master, male switch, female sub dynamic. From the blurb, one can tell that this isn’t quite the same setup, and that’s what I was curious about. A few questions I had coming into the story: Is Olafur all of a sudden going to decide the he like girls just enough to hook up with Rose? (No.) What role does Olafur’s former master, Edward, play into this? (Hardly any.)

Everyone in this ménage falls in love so terribly easy. Lovers and bosom buddies even before they’ve finished their tea. And Rose has some significant baggage that she’s carrying around as well. It makes her really needy, which is just a bit pitiful.

While the story was written well enough to hold my interest, I feel that there were some story elements left out that would have help enriched the story. I would recommend only borrowing this book if you can.

A relationship between two people is often hard, becoming a menage is probably harder. Even though this story was set in a BDSM club its main focus seemed to be based around building the relationship between the characters. Master Salvador is a club Dom who enjoys both men and women. He is fixated on Olaf, one of his acquaintance subs and has been given to green light to be with Olaf. Olaf does not want to be shared but wishes to please his master. Rose is a new this world and is testing the waters when she meets Olaf and Master Salvador. Rose is drawn to Olaf but got off on the wrong foot with Master Salvador. Master Salvador wants them both and not just for one night, now he just has to convince them. I thought this was a very interesting story with several hot sex scenes. The scenes were not over the top but realistic and you were privy to the Subs thoughts more then the Dom's. The inner dialogue the characters had while they were working things out in their heads were very insightful and well argued. The underlying theme here was trust, which is very important in any type of Dom/Sub relationship. Jealousy, insecurities, love and acceptance play a big part of this storyline. It was a quick read that let you see the story from several different points of view. It was very Hot and equally entertaining.

If you like Erotic, M/M, M/M/F, M/M/F/M, and BDSM with a semi story line, then this may be the new series for you.

This was a very fast read that believe it or not, actually had a pull on the heart strings moment. Granted, it was short lived which led to more hot and heavy sex but all in all, not too bad. (This story could have used a few more heart string pulling moments) The emotions ran high and a lil quicker than normal. The characters fell in love so quickly that it made it unbelievable. I felt sorry for Rose, with her having to share the love of her life with 2 other men.

I could have used more description to detail, not only with the sex but with everything else. I liked the flow of the dialogue between characters and this being written in multi pov. I hope that future books in the series goes into more detail with these characters and brings in others as well.

Would I recommend this book? Yes, if you are into this genre.

Would I read more from this author? Yes, I want to read at least one more in the series to see where it goes.

What a dilemma to have! 4 stars

Good story. First time reading anything from this author so I didn’t know what to expect. Of course that can also be a good thing!! At the beginning, I wasn’t sure I wanted to keep going, but I am usually too curious to NOT finish a book, so I kept reading. Imagine my surprise when the next thing I knew I was at the end!!! I wasn’t ready for the story to be over!! It ended up having a great story line to it that ended with a Happily Ever After, one you might never had guessed at, but was very sweet! A little too “graphic” with the naming of places being “tantalized”, but maybe that was just me! All in all it was a great story and if you are in the mood for an awesomely hot & sexy HEA, then you will surely enjoy this one!!!
